Joanna Speaks Up About the Adriana Drama

Joanna may be grateful for her new hubby, but that doesn't stop her from sounding off on Adriana's marriage.

I am very grateful in a weird way for the unpleasant things that happened between Romain and I last year, because they saved our relationship and made us realize that we were taking each other for granted. It made Romain and I realize that we can't imagine life without one another and decide to finally set a wedding date after six years. Marta, my partner in crime, moved out to PA to live with her boyfriend and I truly miss her.

I haven't seen much of the girls besides Karent, Lea, and Lisa over the summer. I wasn't looking forward to seeing Adriana after all the drama with her last year -- since my life has been drama free and the last thing I want now is to bring it all up again. But being in this circle of friends, I don't have much choice but to see Adriana face to face. In a perfect world I would never see her again, as I don't need people around me that talk behind my back and try to hurt me intentionally. Life's too short to hate and be jealous or envy others, but I guess not everyone follows that motto...

Lea and I became closer over the summer, and I know she was very upset once she learned that Adriana and Frederic have been married for almost 5 years. Normally I wouldn't care, as I have my own life to focus on and worry about, but the fact that Adriana had the nerve to say my breakup with Romain was set up for press was very coldhearted and hurtful. Therefore, I feel I have the right to make a judgement on her lies about her marriage. She has played the victim for years to Lea as if she is this poor struggling single mother when this whole time she was married.

Everyone has the right to live their life as they wish, but it's not fair to take advantage of people and pretend you are a victim when you really aren't one. If I was in Lea's position I would feel taken advantage of also, especially since Adriana gives a few different reasons why she didn't tell anyone she was married. If someone can lie and betray her best friend like that, what kind of person is she? If the marriage was a mistake, where was the annulment? Or she could have still shared that she was married with Lea instead of using Lea to her advantage to help her out.

I don't like to judge people as everyone has their own reasons for their decisions in life, but if I am mixed into it and someone accuses me of lying, then trust me, I will speak my mind.

And let me set the record straight: Lea never took my side when it came to the whole drama last year at Lisa's lingerie party. Lea felt both Adriana and I were wrong, and of course she would express to Adriana that physically assaulting someone is just criminal, and Adriana is lucky she wasn't arrested. Lea felt we both didn't act like grown women, so in no way was Lea on my side. I'm not sure why Adriana keeps saying that she lost her best friend because of me. If my best friend would physically hurt someone, of course I would tell my best friend that it's unacceptable behavior.

Till next time!

Lea's Double Standards

Adriana explains why she was so surprised by Joanna and Lea's behavior.

I would like to start by saying that I tried my best to bond with Joanna and remain friendly after attending her bachorelette party and wedding. I truly was hoping for a budding friendship. All season long, she criticized me in her weekly blogs, criticized my wedding, and even then I took the high road and didn't engage in the low blows and continued hostility she has demonstrated towards me for a while now. However, I couldn’t stay quiet any longer when she started to attack my credibility. Enough is enough! I've learned that bullies like her will not stop the attack until you stand your ground. She showed me her true colors when she stated she wanted “to rip my head off.” Such aggressive behavior like that could no longer be ignored. Joanna is always stating that she is beautiful and because of that she thinks she has license to act UGLY!

Furthermore, I couldn't remain silent while she was attacking Lisa and being so cold to her and her struggle with infertility. Claiming that Lisa is a party girl and is always drinking is not the attitude of a friend. Joanna and Lisa had been friends and even had dinner together the night before and all was well between them, until Joanna decided to turn on Lisa... I was shocked, how can a friend blatantly attack her friend with such coldness?! She should not talk about things she knows nothing about!

Another shocker was to see Lea sitting there silently and not coming to Lisa's defense... She crucified me this season and did a complete character assassination of my person for not speaking up when Ana attacked her last year, so I was very surprised to see her do the exact same thing to her new bestie... Double standards, as usual!

In conclusion, don't judge others unless you have walked a mile in their shoes!
