Lea Black

Lea dishes on her return to Texas.

It's Texas Time

Yee-haw! Grab a beer and prop your boots up!

This week’s episode is a walk down memory lane. I hope you enjoy it. It was fun seeing family and some of my girlfriends from years back.

RJ’s favorite place to go is Texas. He's mesmerized by the hats, boots, belts, and country music and he's been like that since as long as I can remember.

I had fun with Lisa, and my family loves her. RJ and she act like they have a sibling rivalry. He still hasn't forgiven her for how late we were to see his cousins because she had luggage that got delayed! LOL!

Hope you enjoy my nephew Cody’s music. It’s D.O.P.E. Dreaming of Possessing Everything! Very cute, don't ya think?

I think Lea make some remarks like she can't wait to get away from her family like she is ashame of them or something, I don't care for Lea, when you are successful at any business venture and you can afford to buy all the perts that comes with success you don't have to always say how much this is or that is and she is good at saying this is worth this much or I'm wearing so much money worth of this, you don't know need to act as though you aren't used to have nice things and talking about how much things are worth. Thjat is just tacky.

Also I agree with the others that I am sick of the Marysol/Ana storylines... over it!!  They are so boring!!  More stuff like this episode please.

Wow, Lea, I am impressed with everything you accomplished as a single lady.  You appeared to be a real leader.  Nice work.  It was fun meeting your family... they seemed really relatable.  I was a little sad that you seemed to feel a little out of place at home.  Home is where the heart is!  I can relate to your feelings though... it can be complicated!  Good episode.

Texas episode was great. Fun to watch Lea ride that Bull, what a Pro!! I'm a girl from Texas who sold skincare out of her blue wood grain station wagon and proud of it, Ana!! Successful and happy today.

Just curious.  If the episode had been of some of the husbands going out of state, then going to a beer joint and dancing with strange women.......would the comments here be so supportive?  Or would it spur a deluge of cheating rumors?  Kind of a double standard if you ask me.

Any show with less Adriana, Alexia and marysol has to be better. I really enjoyed that week's show. I liked meeting your Mom and sisters. It provided us with a background and put a real crown in your personality. I know now that your family is humorous and good people.

Lea, really liked the program this week,,,,,,,,,,, Would you please send some flowers to Marysol's Mom in order to shut her up? Keep rolling the Texas style. You're doing fine!

Have lived in Texas for half my life (I'm now a naturalized Texan). Many Texans have never left the state, and never will. I get it. I've traveled quite a bit, met all sorts of people withal kinds of ways. Don't Mess With Texas! These folk are proud, kind, hard working, hilariously funny, and true- blue to the bone. Many of them do not do well when they leave; too big a shock to see what the rest of the country does to each other.

Love Lea .Recognized the Texan in her immediately.

Why can't the show always be that void of the crazies? Texas trip t was the best one all year. Bravo, listen-up. Lea, Lisa and Joanna are the show. ENOUGH of Marysol, Adrianna and Alexia!

Lea and Texas, what a show! Who was that big man in the western hat? I've seen him before? Is that your cousin? He looks a lot like a guitarist I knew in Austin and Nashville. Anyway, great show Lea.

I'm so sorry about your sister Kim. I bet she was a wonderful sister, Mom and grandmother. You may not realize it, but you are a part of a wonderful family that love you and R.J. very much. It's goo for R,J, to know where his Mom got her personality. Loved the program. Texas could have been the whole hour.

I just looked through all the past photos of Lea, and I am shocked!  She looks EXACTLY like she did at 20.  I know she said she's only had her neck "done" and I totally believe it, because so many of these housewives end up looking like a version of themselves.

Kudos, Lea!

Bravo should do an entire program of you with family. It brought out the vulnerable side of your personality. I feel as if I really know you now. It  was a great show!

The family reunion was the best segment of the season. You should have a show every season with you and your family. I loved it!

I thought this week's show was the best. You do have a nice family and sharing them with us was enlightening. I now understand why you have a protective wall around you. Your heart breaks for other as well as yourself. Good show!

Lea,

I hate to say it but...you were a bit of a snob in Texas. Your family seemed genuinely warm and sincere and I think you spoke down to them and acted like you were gracing them with your presence. I love that you have worked hard to be so successful, but don't forget for a moment where that attitude came from; YOUR ROOTS! I was so sorry to hear about your sister's tragic accident, I can only imagine the pain you feel everyday. This would be a good time to reach out to the family you still have a strengthen your bonds. I know family can be exhausting but life is short and remember that mended fences are stronger than those that are torn down. Thanks for sharing some intimate moments from your life.

Most of us Texans can see the Texas in you regardless of where you live. You've received some criticisms for your sense of humor. In Texas we do that all of the time. We playfully pick on one another and no one gets angry. We know how to live, laugh and love. So do you. Thanks Bravo for the background on Lea. I enjoyed it more than all the other episodes put together.

More Texas! Yeah! Loved the two-step, loved the family and the laid-back atmosphere of home. Not all that glitters is gold. The Miami scene if great but you are grounded in Texas roots. Which makes you a Texan whether you like it or not. Ha Ha Love you gal.

I loved this episode Leah, but I felt so sorry for your Mom at the end when she said she wished you could stay longer and you said you couldn't wait to get home! You did seem a little insulting toward you home town and family at times.

What a great show. I hope Bravo will do more of you, Lisa and Joanna. You three are the program, of course Lea you are the best. Who needs Ad, Alexia and Marysol! Their segments arr boring and full of nonsense.

Truly a Wonderful episode. Love Lea even more. People can see what you are all about,Lea. You are all heart and caring. Marysol is a Debbie Downer. I get she is worried about her mother but Really ...stay home,it was Alexia's night. Hear she has been demoted to "friend of Housewives", Wonder why...boring and dull. Lea has more life than all of them put together!

Greetings Mrs. Leah Black,

The hate club members must be over flowing for you because you are one seriously awesome woman!!!  I'm sorry to hear about losing your sister tragically, I can empathize and sympathize as I recently lost my Mother tragically.  Forward we march!  Texas two step and all you are like sooooo  gorgeous its scary.  I love how over-the-top that you are but I also love that you can have a down to earth approach if you are asked the right questions and are in good company.  Thank you for sharing your personal past I'm that much more admirable of your work and your person.

This was the best episode yet. Nice to see real reality of a housewife, leaving all the childish nonsense behind in Miami. Why Bravo thinks we want to see that crap is mind boggling. Endless Cat fights among adult wealthy woman, is not entertainment. This episode showed a side of you that I like Lea. I hope I can now like you back in Miami too! LOL

Lea, that was a very enjoyable episode.  Thank you for sharing your family with us.  I seriously hope Ana is catching chit from the entire City of Miami, Coral Gales and beyond...she deserves it.  She can't seem to keep her mouth shut E V E R.   Even when she knows she has no clue what the hell she's saying.  T

So very sorry about your sister.  :(  I couldn't imagine what I'd do if it happened to me (literally).  So, so very sorry.  But where were her kids? Why weren't they there?

Great show Monday night. Loved the Texas trip. The whole hour could have been about the Texas trip. Loved seeing your Mom and sisters. Your family appears to be down to Earth, hard-working people. You chose to leave and make your way out of Waco. Nothing wrong with that. It's the independent nature in you that sets you apart from the others.

Lea first let me say you are so completely AWESOME! You are my favorite housewife, out of all of the different cities you are the best.  Your comment that you made about how Texas is great for three or four days then you have to "get out of the cult" was so spot on! I have family that live there and although I love them dearly I can only stand to be there for a short visit. It is a great place, the people of Texas are very welcoming, I always have fun there, but what you said describes it perfectly...gotta go! I hope to see you more on Bravo, you make the Miami Housewives interesting!

Liked getting to know more about you. I currently live in Texas. I was raised in NYC. I am moving November 1st; I desperately miss city life!. Yay!

I can relate to how you feel about Texas. I have always felt out of place here.

Lea, you are my favorite Miami 'housewife.' XO

I have been on the fence about RHOM in general but this episode made me like the series a lot more.  I especially liked getting to know you better Lea.  I have been entertained by you and have watched the various feuds unfold.  Gradually, I've started to side with you in the Lea vs. Adriana feud.  I am now firmly in the Lea camp.  You are a caring and substantial person, it seems -- underneath the laughter and sarcasm.  After tonight I went through the trouble of searching more about Lea Black and it seems you are the real thing and that your fund-raising motives are genuine.  On the other hand, I find Adriana troubling -- I think she slapped Joanna last year because Joanna was a pretty and outspoken threat.  I think Adriana is jealous and rather selfish (her wedding behavior).  But she is also intelligent and vulnerable, which are the traits both Frederic and Lea see in her.  I'll be watching next week as more of this feud unfolds.  Lea if you want to bring her back in your life that is fine but do it with a guarded heart from now on, and save your compassion for the truly deserving.  Oh right and Adriana's son is so adorable and smart -- as is your son RJ -- so I can see why it would be worth salvaging your your friendships for the sake of your boys.  But sometimes, you just gotta keep it "light and polite."

You are loved by many in your family.  This episode displayed what a good person you are none of it surprised me.  You do have a big heart -- that is so nice that you help your family members.   What a role model for RJ and the rest of us.  As I always say you are truly a classy lady.

That was the best show this season. Knowing a little more of Lea’s roots we can better understand her determination and drive. It couldn’t have been easy for her to go home with the memory of her sister, but she did it anyway. Love you Lea!.

@jperry45 I agree with you jperry - I thought Lea was rude and really arrogant towards her family in Texas.  Just because they aren't pretentious snobs doesn't mean their ignorant and stupid.  Its a shame she can't be proud of her Texas roots and the people she comes from.  IShe should be ashamed about her attitude.  It stinks.

@hannah79 My sentiments exactly!  It was so refreshing to watch this show without having to see a lot of the phony Adriana.  Seeing next week's previews I hope Lea does not fall for Adriana's dog & phony pony show about wanting to be friends again, Lea will not doubt get burned by Adriana again.
