You're right about Teresa, Danielle and Teresa's husbands. I don't usually like your blogs, but you're spot on with this one.

Another thing that should be mentioned is the way gay men are portrayed in "Real Housewives" series. They're treated like accessories--every wealthy woman is supposed to have Louboutin shoes, a Louis Vuitton handbag, and a gay friend. I understand that the show is focused on the housewives, but it's demeaning to portray gay men in that way. Imagine if every series mentioned the Jewish accountant, the Mexican gardener, or the African-American maid? It is inappropriate to marginalize people based on characteristics they're born with. Also, lesbians, much like unicorns, are nonexistant in the "Real Housewives" universe.

Lee-Ann---you better have another big ole glass of Bethenny KoolAide and go back to bed. Don't stress that purdy empty head of yours trying to think for yourself--let Bethy do it for you.

Karen--the reason she doesn't want to hold people accountable for their past is because Bethenny was the star in the movie Hollywood Hills 90025 where she performed topless. Of course, this comment won't make it. The few the made it yesterday that were completely honest amazingly don't show up today.

Your talking about how these women are catty and mean, but you'll "joke around" about all of your cast mates and even get into a petty fight with Jill about signage, and don't consider yourself to be in the same boat? Hi Bethany!!! I totally agree with you. I was reading the other blogs and I felt that I had to be reading family and friend comments. I was like are they kidding? did they see the same show? Compared to the other housewives NJ is not holding my interest. The drama seems forced, they needed to have something happen to capture the viewers and the only thing they came up with is pulling out a 20 year old mistake that a housewive made. Who did the casting??? Why would you think it would make a great show with most of the cast being family members. Besides that illegal activites.. who pays that amount of money in case for work and services rendered? People please!!! If your going to research the housewives, try researching some of the husbands and their history thn the housewives may not want to throw bricks while living in glass houses. I cant wait until the next housewife show begins.. Im sick of NJ with the exception of 1 of the housewives(Jacaquline) and sometime Caroline( she may not agree with whats happening lot but she would never say it because it would be going against her sister)the rest are not very trust worthy. I love the family connection and support whether you are right or wrong but not on a show that suppose to be dipicting housewives? I think the show is off track..a very dissappointed viewer.

As for these "ladies of NJ" being representative of NJ... we all know that is not the case, but Bravo is tapping into the stereotype of NJ, apparently that's what sells. I just wish these ladies had better "jersey accents" and would exaggerate words more like "caw-fee" (coffee). LOL

Of course, my all time #1 favorite is your cast, but Jersey is a close second in comparison to the materialistic, fave craving individuals on the other casts. Hey Bethenny!! I'm sorry I didn't get any Kool Aid but that's ok! I just have to say how I agree with you about NJ housewives being a bit on the boring side. It's fun to watch but I don't see any real substance to the show and their lives, no more than my boring life! Here's an idea for Bravo, film my poor ass life in Chicago it can be called "The Real Boring Life of a Chicago Housewife". Thanks as always for keeping it real Bethenny!! Ahhhh, Bethenny, there you go, cutting right to the meat of the matter! Yes, it is a "reality show," and Danielle should have outed herself long before her past popped up. Yes, we have all done things decades ago that we are not proud of. The problem with arrests are that they are a matter of public record, unless one becomes eligible to have the incident and record expunged, it will always be lurking in the background. I had to own up to a D.U.I. arrest 26 years ago when I was called for jury duty recently. Hated it, but I could not blame anyone else for that little gambit. Danielle's expectations are sadly, wildly unrealistic. Those other women are never going to respect her and value her as a member of the close-knit family circle. And she's looking for romantic love/bliss in all the wrong places. She's a reality show cast member, true, but not effectively dealing with real life. I feel so sorry for her 2 little girls who seem so sweet and vulnerable. God bless them all!

Bethenny, I was so in love with you for the first and second season of rhny, and I even cut time out to buy your wonderful book which has helped tremendously. However, I am not sure if you have noticed being that you face the east river, how wide of a stretch the Hudson River is. What I am trying to get at is the city and time has changed. While we did love you so much during the season and do hope to see you once again I wish you could cherish the time youve had and not slam on the current rhonj. Its a bit petty and extremely beyond your input. GOODLUCK with all your businesses and i hope you have a wonderful prosperous life.

Alright B, I visit the bravotv site to read about NJ because they are the current show on. But enough Bethenny, your season, and your 7 hour reunion special has already aired. So let the Jersey girls have the Bravo-lebrity spotlight for now while it lasts and take a step back. We get it, you have something to say about everyone. You are a "ball buster". I will needless to say, watch the next NY, OC and Atlanta seasons also, so just be quiet for now, go promote your book, food line etc... and make the viewers miss you so that we get excited the next time your NY season airs.

Okay, what's up with some of these Bethenny "fans?" What's with the "if you don't like what Bethenny has to say, than don't post?" And another thing the comments "I love u SOOOOOOO much" and "as always Bethenny is always right" is laughable. This might not be posted, because it seems like only her fans can post. Her blog was not on point!

I find it absolutely interesting that people are not as equally outraged by the lack of diversity on these real housewives shows ( yes, Atlanta too!)as they are by the comments of Teresa's husband. They are equally disturbing and insulting.
Are we to assume that African americans are only wealthy in Atlanta? Or that no Asian americans are wealthy in any part of the United states? Or only Italian-americans live in Jersey? Or that gay men have nothing else to offer to society, but to dress these women, decorate their houses, or be their non-dates at social events?

We need to demand a better representation of this great country on our television screens, beacuse we are so much more than this seasonless bland broadcasting.

Much admiration to all of the *REAL NJ wives and women that are sounding off about the authenticity of being a Jersey girl in comparison to Bravo's representation. Please continue to let the people know that New Jersey is so much more than these five ladies.

I must say that I can't stand this show. I would like to watch but everytime I try, I feel so dirty. These people are truly out of the twilight zone!!!! Are they all involved in the NJ mafia? I think you are the best in everything you do--love your book and have bot extra copies for my friends. You and Jill are everything that friends should be and both have great blogs. My friends from work and I got together to watch RHNY and have dinner and drinks and had the most fun. Somehow the Jersey girls and Orange Co girls just don't do it for us. To tide us over till next season, we've rented your movie Hollywood Hills and are going to have a big dinner get to gether this weekend. We are all such huge fans we can't wait to you at a book signed.

Bethenny you should make my day and make a Jersey guest appearance. Whip these women into shape. Teach Jacqueline how to be more confident, Theresa how to love herself, Dina to be a lady and Danielle how to calm down a little. But you will forever be the best "Housewife" ever!!! As always you hit the nail on the head with your observations. I thought all the Danielle bashing at the dance studio was catty and totally unnecessary. They were there to take lessons and Danielle just happened to take it more seriously than others, instead of just making light of it, the other women made it a character flaw. I think that they are looking for reasons to not like Danielle so basically poor Danielle is screwed because according to them she is never going to do anything right.
I also have to applaud Danielle for sticking to her guns and standing up to Teresa's husband about his gay bashing. Obviously Danielle has a code of ethics and sticks by her convictions and will call people on their b.s. which I like. Teresa took it to seriously and again I think Teresa, even though she is sweet and lovable, is a follower and was looking for a reason to distance herself from Danielle. After watching the reruns I'm still not sure what Teresa's beef with Danielle is, it just seems as if she's reaching and being very judgmental.
I didn't really care for Danielle in the beginning but now after seeing this episode I do feel a bit sorry for her, reminds me of my high school years.

As always, spoken to perfection, Bethenney! On their own, these women really AREN'T entertaining! It's all these crazy storylines - fabricated or not - that keep the show going. I need to actually really see see Dina and Danielle interact some more and observe that whole dynamic so I can judge what the heck is going on there. I love Theresa (she seems sweet and harmless) but I feel like all we've seen of her is the stage mom side, which isn't crazy enough to be remotely entertaining, and her spending money. Boring! These next couple weeks need to really step it up or I'm jumping right off this bandwagon.

B did you read star magazine this month Danielle's husband does an interview with them WOW does he throw danielle under the bus I really feel sorry for her cause some of the stuff he says is just flat embarrassing!!!! I find the NJ wives boring tacky... do you see the way they dress... they all wear last season clothing...Wives from other shows would never be caught dead in... their day to day attires are awful... i mean do you see those jeans capri with prints on the back pocket... Terresa is the worst... I hope they are saving because the IRS is watching....they scream drug money all over.. so tacky... even Jill Zarin talked about cutting back and that says a lot. Dina... where exactly is her husband... and keep in mind she was more broke that Danielle when she moved to NJ. She found herself a sugar daddy who is no where to be found who clearly married her because of "the family"...come on give Danielle a break...hey someone felt sorry for you and now you have some money... Bethenny you are right on so many levels. I mean, where are these husbands? I am married with children, we are busy, but seriously to only see your husband one time a week or once in a while, that's just crazy.

There has to be a reason these guys are not around. Plus, as a wife that only sees your husband every once in a while you have to ask yourself the question, " If I'm not being a wife to my husband I wonder who is?" okay, okay, okay so maybe there not messing around, but boy is sure seems like that could be a possibility.

I don't really care that much for you Bethenny for the racial comments you made about the Atlanta cast you made a comment about how they were spending money when the economy is the way it is but there was never an issue when the woman from your cast had an issue about her seat during Fashion Week. As for me the only cast that I really like is Orange County. They seem to be the only women who actually work and have added something to society besides their space and their faces. I enjoy watching the show but it really gets on my nerves when they talk about how much money they have and where they live who gives a care and they never have any friends of color all of their friends look just like them I think ALL of them need to re-evaluate the world that they live in....
