I totally agree Bethenny, but you were way too nice. I can't wait for Danielle to pull up some dirt on the other ladies. They have this 'holier than thou' attitude towards her that I can't stand. Classy is as classy does and these women are lacking.

I agree with most of what you said except that you might be imagining a greater difference between the antics of these women and your own franchise. I think Dina trying to downplay her role is clear, but what she is also trying to point out is that Danielle talks about her constantly (she can't seem to stop) yet claims that Dina is the one doing all the talking. I believe Dina's point is that she is not doing the talking that Danielle claims she is doing. It's probably a fair point. I wasn't that impressed with Jackie standing up to the family when she isn't willing to stand up to Danielle. She never called out Danielle for her obsession with Dina.

Finally, a group of women who are on the show and do not spend every minute shamelessly promoting their books and stores and any other little thing that they want to make money off of. How refreshing!

Of course she is on the show to be on television and fame...thanks capt. obvious. Like you didn't do it for the same reason. You can say it was to promote yourself as a chef, or whatever, but really fame is fame--any way you cut it or whatever reason you want it for. A little hypocritical, no? I love you though and you are my fav!

What a perfect reminder of why you're my FAVORITE "Housewife" of ALL TIME! You seem FAR more in touch with reality than the other housewives in ATL, OC, NY, & NJ! Teresa was acting trashy & being totally hypocritical about the kids. Caroline's whole Godfather thing made me vomit in my mouth a little. Dina acts all helpless & fragile while Caroline is godfathering for her, but all tough & brut when alone. Danielle is a mess, & poor Jacqueline seems like a deer caught in headlights at all the mess. It's nice to finally read a more balanced blog about this wreck of a NJ season!!!

Bethenny ~ How refreshing not to have a cast that is using the show as a 'platform'. The New York show became an infomercial for everyone's various books, products and businesses. I, for one, was sick of it. I don't watch these shows to be sold something, rather I watch them to be entertained.

Bravo to Teresa for finally reaching her limit with the psycho after having her dinner party ruined by her actions. I was proud of Teresa, Caroline and Dina for standing up to Danielle and her trouble making. Danielle is scary and I would avoid her at all costs. And get a restraining order to keep her away from my home and family. I don't think you have any experience in family matters or loyal friends. Sad.

B, This was the worst display of behavior at a dinner table. Teresa opened the door again for Danielle and she blew it. This kind of Drama at the dinner table can disrupt families tremendously. Danielle is very sick and she should get help for the sake of her daughters. Teresa had every reason to be upset.

Good assesment betheny.. Dina and Caroline went around spreading rumours behind Danielle's back about this book which has never been confirmed as true.. They have a past, we all have pasts.. why is it anyone's right to judge someone? The book was written by a bitter ex, obviously it's not going to put Danielle in a flattering light.. The book was the elephant in the room at dinner.. everyone knew about it.. everyone talked about it.. Inappropirate bringing it up? hardly.. they talked about sex and boobies, this isn't exactly the classiest bunch.. Danielle didn't bring it up to cause drama, she simply wanted to address the rumors and set the record straight.. Instead of listening with an open mind (no surprise there) Dina and Caroline attacked her and Teresa lost her mind.. Danielle is the way she is bc her life is screwed up, I'm sure if you had to go through the same things you'd feel the same way.. Don't jugde someone unless you've been in their shoes

Just wanted to start off by saying that I am originally from MN and I am jealous that I can't be at the Mall of America today to see you. Also, you and Jill are hilarious on RHWO NY. I have read both of your posts about last nights NJ finale. You both have very valid points. I had kind of wished every episode was that dramatic except Danielle reminds me a bit like Kelly on NY. It could just be because Kelly was new this season... but they both come off as insincere, shady, and power hungry. Any thoughts?

Bethany, you are my favorite housewife of all, however, I have to disagree with you. The unclassiest part of the finale was Danielle using this gathering as a way to promote her own self interests. It was very classy of Theresa to invite her and try to mend fences. Danielle should not have brought the book out period. They could have benefitted from having one of the many type sit downs the NY girls had, in private meetings, hashing it out. Not in front of everyone.

I totally agree with you on Theresa. She was acting like the good mother and she talks sex front of everybody.She and her husband makes me sick. We use to live in NJ and left the state because of the fake people.I don't miss it at all. Dina is the sneaky one.At least Danielle straight forward. I do not agree with her parenting but what can you do? Where is Dina's husband? I am sure he made a decision to not to be in the show.These people have no class.Money is not everything.

Wow all I can say is that I think this whole dinner scene was staged by the producers. Danielle did not walk in with the book so I think it was planted there for her to reveal so the cat fighting and drama could ensue to keep the show more interesting. Besides what restaurant would allow that type of behavior in their establishment without booting everyone out? None that I know of so I think this whole episode was a pathetic joke and made us all look stupid not just the cast members. I am embarrased for them and for myself for watching this.

By the way you New York ladies really are world away from this NJ bunch in class and manners.

ok Bethenny i like you on your show even bought your book, and will be buying the skinny girl margarita mix when it comes out...but i have to say you knock Dina down for wanting to stay home with her daughter(and be a REAL HOUSEWIFE)...and then go on to basically say if she's not working or promoting anything then whats the point....right? But no disrespect...but what is YOUR point of being on the show( to promote yourself?)...your not a wife OR a mother SO how are you a "REAL HOUSEWIFE"....just wondering....

I actually love the New Jersey housewives waaaay more than New York. They are actually housewives. And bethany, you're not even married so why are you on the REAL housewives of New York?! You shouldn't even be on the show.

I too think that the dinner party must have been staged, I mean 1) why would Teresa have invited Danielle to the dinner party in the first place? None of the girls (minus Jaq) were even talking to her, so that made no sense in the least, 2) Danielle didn't carry that book in, so someone had to have handed it to her, and 3) Noone in their right mind would do all of that (willingly) in front of their children and the restaurant staff.

Your recap is right on Bethanny, and personally I think that this cast is a bit bland, although I do like them. I really wish they would replace Danielle - she serves no purpose on the show.. she is just annoying!

The real housewives of the O.C. have always been my favorites, but now I have to say that the New Jersey wives are right up there too. Bethenney, you shouldn't even be on the show because you are not a housewife and you are classless. The Real Housewives of NY are the worst of the group and BRAVO needs to get rid of their show!!!1

I agree with you except the part about being on the show "just because" and not to promote a product etc. Thats what i love about NJ housewives. It's really them just doing their thing and not trying to sell a product and get rich. It's way more real than your show. You, Jill and the others are just one big commercial for the crap that you are trying to sell and be famous for.

Bethenny, I couldn't have called it better. You're by far the most in touch with reality out of anyone thats been on these shows. Theresa clearly showed the world that money cannot buy class when she was going on and on about her sex life with all the children around like a drunken idiot and failing to keep her composure. Definitely lost respect for her. I'm no fan of Danielle and agree with you that she is totally deranged, but everyone else brought themselves down to her petty level by acting the way they did at that dinner party and it could have been avoided by not giving her the attention and drama she wanted. Dina had been my favorite but after this episode she seems shady and lacked the ability to own up to her words and actions.

Overall though, it does make for great TV and I can't get enough of the Housewives franchise. Can't wait to see you on the next season of RHONY!!

Bethanny, It was inappropriate for Teresa to toss the table, just as it was inappropriate for you to want to "clear" the air with Jill at her charity event. People handle things quite differently. I do believe Teresa was upset because Danielle tried to demean her. She was the only one being nice to Danielle. Jacqueline turning on her family to save face with Danielle.... why? Sounds to me like Jacqueline is the one who really tried to play the innocent role, but was carrying dirt back between the two of them. Read the latest blogs from Danielle and Dina. As for Caroline, she is MAMA... nuff said. I would have done the same thing. Dina, is a true mother. Something you right now know nothing of and there is nothing wrong with that. Why are you on the sow Beth?? To promote skinny girl..... which you are doing well with, so how are you commenting so negatively on someone else?????

Sounds like someone may worry that RHONJ may steal a little NY limelight!!! Don't worry. There are enough viewers to cover them all. I think RHONJ was the actual Real deal. No fake parties, no fake friends and definitely real family issues and drama.

Oh Bethenny, last season you were my favorite, this season your 'superior' comments are getting old. Don't dog the NJ cast because they are actually 'real housewives' and not using the show for fame. You may be 'real' but you are not a housewife at all. Your one-liners can only get you so far. Get over yourself.

I love your take on this episode and the series. NY was so much better, these women are unrelatable and amazingly make Ramona seem sane! I would love to see NY and NJ have a "sit down" together. wouldn't it be awesome to see Ramona fight with Caroline, Kelly fight with Dina, and The Countess can take on Danielle with the war of the "Darlings". lol. all the while you can do your hysterical commentary. I'd watch. :)

I usually don't comment but I had to on this one. Bethenny If I'm correct you don't come from a big or tight family, so I understand why you have made comments about Jacqueline's positon with her family and friend. Caroline is the truth meanining of family tightness, you protect one another so it's hard at times to watch your family getting in a situation when all you have is bad feelings about that situation. It may come across as controlling but it's just love and protection. I don't think she should be speaking about approiate behavior when I have seen you flashing your buttocks to the media (no panties where shown).

Yes Teresa was a little bit over the top, but she was trying to do something nice and Danielle just had to ruin it. Shame on her this wasn't the time or place, all the kids were sitting there except Teresa's girls. The whole context of all the conversaions were over the top...Boobies, whose on top, who cares. But weather it was Dina or Caroline or Jackie somebody found the book but why was someone looking for it? Who put the bug in someones ear to even look for it. Danielle should have found out all the info before spoiling Tearsa's party. Shame on her again. I like these women they are what they are REAL...

I love this show, maybe you dont understand the concept and importance of a family and that is why you think of 'the family' as a bad thing. But being in a big loving family its a completely different life. Since you arent used to that you cant really comment on this. I love you honey you are the best but you missed the mark on this family.

What is the difference between your tantrum at Jill's charity event and Teresa's- a table. You have some nerve being so condescending! You are exactly like Danielle- you both have chips on your shoulders,play the victims constantly, have deep emotional issues and are just plain MEAN- you can't even give away FREE cupcakes because you have such an abrasive personality. You need professional help and I hope you don't even think about having a child until you get it! Why are even on a show about "housewives"?
