I like the fact that you are a goal-oriented professional with a quit wit and true sense of self. I am recently retired from the Air Force as an officer and have made a career for myself that I too am proud of. Having said that, it breaks my heart to see women who are in the spotlight make such idiots of themselves. I am, of course, referring to Kelly. Kelly, you are not the gorgeous woman that perhaps you once were and because of that, you need to start acting and behaving more smartly. Cute can't get you anywhere if you are no longer cute. So, stay out of the tanning bad (skin looks old) and knock it off with the fake smile. Lastly, you really need to do a better job of not showing your personal feelings regarding other people in open environments. Keep your thoughts to yourself (that's why we call them thoughts). Women like you make it very difficult for women such as myself, or the others on the show to be taken seriously versus "catty."

For crying out loud people! The entire franchise is based on "Desperate Housewives"!! Are all the characters on that show married? Noooooo.........did you miss the word "REAL" in the title of the show and not make the connection? That's how the series got started. Every season has divorced and unmarried women on the show - just like the fictional series. STOP telling the unmarried women how they don't belong on the show just because you don't like them - it's annoying and ignorant. Do you think they FORCED the producers at gunpoint to cast them?

The housewives of NJ is so boring. I hate its about one family who has every thing. Where are the husbands? Is Dina married? She is the most rudest person I have ever seen. The whole family is trash.I like the sis-in-law that is trying to get pregant other than that I will be glad when this family is over.Are they mafia?

Come on Bethanny...they are amazing and we all love them. It does not take away from the NY show to say they are fabulous.. There is a little too much Jaqueline for my taste. She's a big boring!!! Love the others though.. I wish the seasons were longer!!! I can't get enough...

Bethenny, I totally agree with you about the show being a snooze. I keep waiting for the skeletons in the Manzo closet to come out. And it took 3 of them to read the book? Funny stuff.

I love u Bethany! You always tell it like it is. You also show your human sides and can be humble at times. These new ladies are really not doing it for me either. I did like Caroline until she joined the "We Hate Danielle" bandwagon. Yes Danielle is clingy but she just needs ginuine people around her to let her know that she can be independent, is worth and deserves more. She is not creepy, she just wants acceptance. Tragic is the perfect word.

Regardless of anyone's feelings about Bethenny, and whether she should be on the show, there is one thing that needs to be addressed. This whole question of Bethenny being a housewife is ludicrous because everyone is missing the point. Why are you attributing it to the 1950's definition of a housewife? The "real" housewife, modern and especially in NYC, doesn't have to be married. She is a self-made woman who is independent. That's why they call it the "real housewives" - throw away your perceptions of what that means and see that this is actually reality. The housewife is perceived as wealthy and sitting at home all day shopping and doing other things. The best thing about all of the real housewives of NYC is that they are driven, working women. Bethenny built an empire by herself. That's what a real housewife in NYC is doing. It's not 1950. There's no martini and backrub for your husband when he walks through the door. (Not that there's anything wrong with that if it's what you choose, but it's not Bethenny's reality).

And Kelly was the most ridiculous character ever. There's a hilarious parody cartoon that anyone interested should check out on youtube where Kelly is in a straight jacket mumbling nonsense. It was actually uncomfortable to watch the parts of the show where she was acting crazy (so essentially every moment). I was embarrassed for her watching from home. Yikes.

I love you! I read your book and I have really learned to apply your techniques in my own life. Keep up the good work! When will your next book be coming out? The juice one.

Bethenny~ I think you are a great role model for all women of all ages. I admire how you've pick yourself by your boot straps so to speak and made yourself into a success. Not many people can do that. They harvest on the past and can't move forward enough to allow themselves to be happy. You may not have everything your heart desires, now... But this too in time will come to pass..

I talked my brother into watching Housewives of New York. He and his friend watched all day long - the reruns and the reunion. He couldn't believe what he was watching. He said he wasted his whole day! LOL! Then he watched the Housewives of New Jersey and he said he just wanted to vomit! LOL!!!!

I am sooooooo missing Bethenny, love love her!!! To all of you who claim to hate her, you sure spend a lot time blogging about her.

I totally agree with you about the NJ girls. I expected more from them. The show is kind of boring. So Danielle has a past so what. At least she keeps it interesting. The rest of the cast is dull...plain & simple. They all seem like they are trying so hard to act "normal" and not put what they are really like out there. And why oh why does everyone drive the same exact car?

You are by far my favorite from Real Housewives of NYC. You are so honest, so normal, funny, successful, beautiful, and a good friend. I really miss housewives of NYC and I agree with you on Housewives of NJ. It seems like some of the husbands (more like one) is totally absent for dubious reasons. But, I don't like Caroline as much as you do. At all.

I do enjoy the show very much... I especially like your energy and the humor that you add to the show. Two comments: 1) You seem to hide behind your sarcasm a lot. I am not judging you, I used to do the same. I used to say, "that I could verbally level someone in less than 30 seconds" - like that was funny? Well, now I know it was just a distancing tool and masked my anger as well as kept people at a distance. I no longer do that...changed my thoughts, feeling... changed my life :)
2) I understand different personalities, and we are not all compatible to be friends or lovers, but I don't understand the need to criticize. It can be very refreshing to 'jump' off that train. It's not that one doesn't care... but that others do not control how we act or what we say. I wish I could see more of that with such intelligetn, educated women. It really could be a great message... oh yea, that doesn't make good T.V. though :)

I, like many other viewers is still trying to figure out how Bethany Frankel became a real housewife. She's nobody's wife, not even a divorced housewife. Ramona, Mario, Jill and her family and Alex and Simon were the most interesting and entertaining people on that show. Bethany was just irritating. The constant on-liners was like being apart of amatuer night at a comedy club and her neausiating black girl routine with the "oh no you didn't and the check yourself before you wreck yourself" made my skin crawl. And the real shocker is that an idiot like Kelly Bensimon could make Bethany feel so inadequate that she just could not let go of the fact that this woman had no interest in being her friend. Talk about PATHETIC. Bethany- go cook up a new personality. The one you have was painful to watch.

I agree with Bethenny I like Caroline and Danielle there is something missing with the others I can understand husband not wanting to be on the show, show up sometime like Caroline husband does. It seems like everybody wants to beat on Danielle at least she is honest

I agree that the husbands of Dina and Jacqueline should be more visible on the show. It causes the viewer to queston their absence.
Bethany you were my favorite the first season of your show but that started to change as time went on. This season you were like a different person. When you did the photo shoot and said how you don't blame people for being jealous of you (not exact wording but you get the point) that was a differnt side we had not seen before. I thought Alex was point on when she pointed out how you talk so negatively about everyone else in your interviews and make fun of them behind their backs. It seems you've become a very judgemental and self absorbed individual. You need to get back to the person we admired for being a upfront, humble and relatable woman.

Brittany, I can't take anything you say seriously anymore. You were my favorite housewife by far until you started acting stupid about Kelly. It is very obvious that she said she was "up here" and you were "down there" in response to your childish behavior at the charity planning. You chose to pretend she was saying she was better than you. You can't have it both ways. Either you are sharp or you are dim-witted. The conclusion I came to is that you tried to portray yourself as a victim, even though you were the one who picked the fight. I lost all respect for you. Kelly is a whack job and a flaming idiot, but you are dishonest, which is worse in my opinion. Sorry.

I was astounded...she really needs to go...she adds nothing to the show. I think she's conceited and she thinks she's better than the rest of you. Interesting perspective on the NJ wives, and thinking about it, you pretty much nailed it. THe show took off and for the most part is very entertaining, but, it is going in circles, focusing on the drama between Dina and Danielle. ..Danielle seems to be the hated hw, however, the show would be a complete dud without her. What would we watch? ..

You are one of my favorite characters on the show. Watching you in the bar scene was absolutely comical. I'm sorry Kelly but you sounded like an absolute idiot. You could not even come up with a sentence that made any sense at all. It was abvious Bethany wanted to smooth things over but you just kept putting your foot in your mouth. You sounded like a complete snob. If your going to invite someone to put them in their place, maybe you should figure out what your going to say before you get there so you dont make a complete fool out of yourself.

I am only 17 and I can relate to your story about growing up and being so independent because I find myself in the same position. You are so on the money. I do like Caroline a lot; Jacqueline has absolutely no strength at all against her daughter; Teresa is spoiling her kids to death; Dina is lovely and smart; Danielle needs to remember that her children come first and not her libido....she's a real turn off for me on the show.

RHNY is still my favorite and always will be. Classy women, smart, savvy...heads above the rest.
