OK ladies and gents...this is my first blog on a show that I am not on. I considered myself very objective until TODAY! I was all ready to "let it all go" like Bethenny does until I ran into 4 of the 5 of the RHNJ today at a gifting suite. A gifting suite is set up for celebrities to "shop" among fabulous companies (Michael Stars, Balenciaga sunglasses, Habitual Denim, Heelys, Solstice Sunglasses, Lancaster Skin Care, Rebecca Minkoff bags, Lia Sophia jewelry, etc) In return, these companies encourage the celebrities to use and enjoy their products publicly. In fact, I ran into Joel Hale from The Soup. I don't think he recognized me at first, despite the fact that he licked a dogs face to mimic Ginger licking my nose. I also ran into Ramona and we had fun together. As we were about to leave...I saw them. You cannot miss them. I guess that is what people say when they see us coming, but it feels different because it is me! So I don't want to give anything away, but there are definitely surprises coming. Happy ones. After chatting with them (in front of everyone in the room) I would feel bad saying anything not nice. I am torn because I feel that if you sign up to do a reality show, there is a "public permission" granted to fans to write what they think (as long as it's not vulgar or illegal.) Certainly you have all said what you want about us good or bad. So with that "permission" granted to me in my head...here we go. These are my notes...cleaned up after I watched the episode.

Jacqueline...Guilt. We all have it...it's never enough...we are never there enough...we don't give enough. I am referring to Jacqueline's first scene with her daughter Ashley. Who has the answer? Gloria! Jacqueline, call Gloria! Email her at askgloriak@aol.com. Gloria always told me it starts in elementary school, and if by high school they don't have their act together, it's almost too late. You have another chance. Spoiling your son like that with that over the top birthday party is not giving him the values he will need. It starts now. Who was the party really for? Him? I promise, he will never remember anything except that he was never told no. You have a chance, start today.

Theresa...boobie...adorable. I wish I could show her a crystal ball of what happens when you overly indulge little girls when they are very young. They become entitled women who can't take no for an answer. They often become troubled teens with no boundaries. As Gloria might say, hard to find a husband that way, but I guess that is too far to project into the future. They are adorable and I just want to squeeze them tight too. Shopping a few times a week with them? You are creating women no man will ever be able to please. Be careful. But I am NOT the first person to tell you that, am I? Jacqueline seemed upset with Ashley throughout the episode and the producers did not do a good job setting up why for the viewer. I can only imagine the scenario of a teenage girl in my head. Too many boys, too many friends, possible alcohol involved and no good outcome.

Would like to send you and your fellow cast members an invite to a fashion show at the Metropolitan Pavilion in October. How could I go about doing this? Thank you.

Jill shame on you, how dare you say the wives from New Jersey are not acting classy....just because of that comment I will not watch your show anymore... You and Ramona deserve each other. how classy is the way that you have behaved over a stupid tennis game... Now is Bethany, Alex and even Simon want to move over to New Jersey that would be great, but Simon please leave those red leather pants at home

If you are not in love with Jill Zarin, then you have a problem. Jill is an amazing woman, with class, sophistication, and a hell of a lot of personality. She is undeniably the favorite amongst Housewives....The Ramona's, Danielle's, Tamara's...could have been picked up anywhere and plopped onto a cast for a show called "The Real Obnoxious Women of...." I think Tamara and Ramona are the most infantile, ridiculous women on T.V! I think that Danielle is disgusting and should be on one of those intervention shows that they have on VHI or whatever! I cannot believe that Ramona is a sucessful business woman, as she appears for the most part dysfunctional, irrational, and borderline raunchy! Can someone please give Alex some respect for how well she handles herself and how well she speaks? Honestly ladies, Alex by far appears to be the most sincere, other than Jill, on any of the RH shows.

Jill,

Your blogs on the NJ housewives crack me up. I love your wisdom and your thoughts, they are very similar to mine and am glad to see someone else thinks the way I do. I love that you are writing a check to Dina's charity, you are the essence of a classy woman. If I could, I would make an All-Star housewife cast and just put my favorite, non-dramatic housewives together. It would not be as dramatic, but I watch more to see how each of you deal with the situations and what's going on with your lives, charities, and companies.

I was a fan but since I read Bethanny's remarks about NJ Housewives...I've lost my interest in anything that comes from her or YOUR show. I do think that NJ Housewives is more real and interesting than your last season. Oh by the way, my mothers middle name is Therese and my name is Terri...I guess that makes us relatives of the mafia too and the fact that my husband pays cash for EVERYTHING..LOL Does it mean that everyone with the first name of "Barbra" like Streisand is Jewish...c'mon now...Please get real!!! I was born and raised in Pennsylvannia and also spent a great deal of time at my parents shore house in NJ so I would be careful not to make any comments like she did or you will lose a lot of viewers. Very disappointed in Bethanny's remarks and she had the nerve to put down Teresa? I wonder if she had one too many Skinny Margarita's when she commented like that.

guessing why Daniel changed her name. I know great many people that changed their name for various reasons. Life of many people is far from perfect and has many twists.
You do not know Daniel. I do not know her either...But she is more intelligent then most of the women on thi show. And her kids are so wel rounded...it must be her influence on them .She does not appear insecure. She has enough wisdom to talk her troubled past. In front of the world. She is confident in her sexuality...she defies the establishment...In your comment about her, you portray yourself as the quote 'establishment'...you brand the woman that you do not know...I liked you in the show...but your comments cut short of the 'smart' woman you trying to shoe the world that you are.
Daniel was wishesly attacked by those women in the front of the world without even talking to her first. So, let say wshe was a stirper,,,,even a prostitute...Yet, she stands tall today compare to the 'establisment'...she knows things about Dina...but she did not 'spell' them in front of the camera...Daniel is not perfect...she obviously had a tought time in life...yet she has enough wisdom to be herself....I am dissapointed in your comments

Hi Jill, Keep up the great work that your doing there in New York. I'm a Canadian Girl and I just love watching you ladies. Jill, you are my favorite on the show. There's that one shot of your dog licking your nose, that was soo funny, I laughed soo hard. I don't know how any of you ladies can put up with Ramonna, she seems so excited all the time. I'm looking forward to seeing the new shows, starting next week. Take care. N

Jill I have to say thank you for bringing out stills to the lime light. I also want to say thank you for supporting your husband in this illness some thing my own wife of 19 years did not do in divorcing me when I became ill but my wife now dose and I am grateful for! The sad part is more do not support then do and too many take the easy way out like my ex and forget about the vows of in sickness and only want in health.
I believe it is people like your self that will help bring this from unknown to the forefront so that others may know what we fight day to day. I hope some day they can find a cure but tell then having supportive people like your self is a blessing and I am now also married to one of the same cloth as your self. Again thank you from my self an all stills people for your wonderful support!

Her bulging/rolling eye's alone would have set me off! Does she have a Thyroid problem?? Or is she just on drugs?? Anyway, I have to say that you are my favorite of all Housewives and hope all is well!!

It's not surprising that BRAVO decided to show the "lost footage" from the NYC Housewives, as all of you are "up here" in comparison to the NJ Housewives, who are "down here," as Kelly might put it. I spent over 20 years in NYC, & from the first episode, I loved you guys! I've followed every season of every Housewives show & you are the only Housewives who actually seem real & like women I could be friends with (aside from Kelly, who seems like a nut!). I live at the Jersey Shore now, but don't know anyone like the wives on the new show - thank God - & find them an embarrassment as reps for my state. Would Gloria consider adopting another adult child? My mom passed away when I was little & I could use one like her right now! Can't wait to see you all next time!

Hi Jill,

I started watching RH NYC after about the second episode. It was introduced to me by my son. He just loves the show. Well, I am addicted to the show. When I first started watching the show, I just loved Jill. She seemed to me to be a real person, honest and sincere not only to herself but to the rest of the her friends. But also one who would help someone if they needed you. I assuming that you get that from your mom. When I saw her on the show (sorry I don't remember your mom's name), and heard her talking to Bethanny, I started to cry. You must be so proud to have her to call your mom, and vise versa too.
Jill, I think you have it all going for you. A lovely family, a great head on your shoulders, a successful business, and a good friend. God bless you. Stay just the way you are.

You were my favorie RH or NYC for a reason. Ditto on your comments....especially those to Dina and Danielle. I gave Dina a small piece of my mind about how she comes across that I hope you will read when/if it is approved. I have authored a book and teach classes (locally) on Grace and Etiquette too teen-aged girls. If you're wanting to give, I would love the donation of your time (and your mother's too). Our girls would LOVE a lesson from you. The local media would eat it up! I actually made reference to you asking Betheny to leave your party in one of my classes. I love Betheny (and so does my dad) but do agree that the confrontation happened at the wrong place and time....although the nasty little bar tender girl egged it on a great deal. She was SO WRONG for that. Anyway, I can be reached at shawnmjackson@comcast.net if you feel like coming to Indy to do an appearance. It would mean a great deal to me and the girls. I'm doing my best to bring class and grace back to our girls. It has all, regretfully, been tossed out the window over the years.

I am so frustrated that this is how NJ is being represented. I am a single black woman in NJ and I don't understand why Bravo can't do a show that doesn't have woman that depend on men and a show about women really trying to make it and better themselves. none of NJ has not one black woman on it. Why? In addition why is everyone rich I'm a business woman and I'm trying to get climb up the latter that is real tv not these women who aren't doing anything and have gotten rich from men.

Jill,

I have watched the show from the first season. All I can say is that you and Bethenny seem to keep it real. I see no problem in calling a spade a spade. You should voice you thoughts. Opinions are like a--hole and everyone has ones. To me as a viewer I think you and Bethenny are the two housewives that most people would like to have as friends. If you can't be honest with your friends, then who can you be honest with. Hope you guys don't change.

Jill has always been my favorite, but who knew she had so much SENSE! New Jersey housewives, TAKE JILL'S ADVICE! She's right, you don't have do-overs with your kids. They will be obnoxious adults that no one will want to marry, much less be with. NOW is your only chance. By the time children are 10, most of their personality is set.

Jill, You are the classiest lady and the KINDEST person, someone whom I would love to know. I realize you have a ton of $ and you spend it lavishly, but you also seem to have a head on your shoulders that actually has a brain in it that you use. On these "housewife" shows, that combination is rare. And I love the relationship you have wth your daughter who also seems to be the most normal, kind and natural child on the show. (That poor kid Noel is so sad - all he wants is his mother to act like a mother and be home with him, instead of going out with a girl who is 20 years younger than she. What's with that? Tell LuAnn to grow up. She isn't "hip or cool" - she's a 40-something woman who is refusing to accept or act her age. The nanny is convenient for LuAnn - removes all maternal responsibilities from her, but her son sure is suffering! And getting rid of the daughter by sending her to boarding school was a brilliant move to relieve her of 50% of her maternal responsibilities. Noel knows he is next to go. Those two kids are rich financially but poor, no, flat-broke, emotionally.) Keep trying to teach those other women how to be adult women, responsible and empathetic.

Jill;
What I absolutely love about you is genuinely care about those close to you, and even those who are strangers if relate to their problems. If you realize this or not, that particular trait, call it "empathy" seems to be dying in this culture. I fear with times being so hard, people will forget altogether how to care for other, or remember why it is on of the most important things we can do in life. You are without doubt Gloria's child for certain from the little I saw of your lovely and hysterical Mother, what a gem she is, and how much you take after her! OY VAY!

My real comment here is I think Bravo should send you to the OC to teach thesse wonderful qualities you posses so abundantly with those who need your wisdom, caring and sense of fair play. I am speaking of Tamra and Vicki of course. Their treatment of Gretchen after the death of her "whatever he was" was beyond deplorable, it was classless, distasteful and downright ugly. It has bothered me ever since I saw the OC wrap show, and when I see Vicki's face, I feel sick to my stomach she is such a miserable and controlling shrew, I fear she screw up her life, and anyone else she can grab on the down if there isn't an intervention of sorts. Enter Jill, and be prepared my sweet thing, we are talking Class A 1 Bitches with almost zero understanding of accountability for their actions. It would also make an amazing special for us fans, a chance to see you give it to these two hens I would pay money to see that! Without you to show them the way, I will be forced to stop watching OC, they are just too cruel, and that's not fun to see when you know it's actually real.

My best to you, and see if there maybe is a chance to do this, if you are the brave soul I think you to be. Much Love.

I do appreciate the fact that you actually commented on the show, but don't like your "advice" to the NJ wives. Let them figure it out on their own. The only little girl of Theresa's showing out was the 2 year old, it's her age. Jacqueline will learn to deal with her own guilt and teenager. She'll also see Danielle for the pit viper that she is. Rich men do not seek out 46 year old women which Danielle will find out soon enough. She needs to get her own business going or a JOB. Dina and Caroline should be thick as thieves, they are family. You are still my favorite NY housewife, but the change Betheny has made during the two seasons is not for the better, she's a bully and you indulge her which doesn't speak well of you. Kelly is obviously mentally ill and it's not fair to pick on her. Also it's not your business to broadcast the cost of her house.

Let me just begin by saying that watching the show makes me mad at my husband for the night. I lovvvvve him but we are poor and I often say to him I wish I was one of the Real Housewives of New York. I live in RI and adore the few times I've gone to NY (I have been fortunate enough to go to Chinatown and buy knockoffs, I couldn't imagine buying the real things.) Anyhoo my husband hates the show since the next day I fantasize about your lifestyles and glare at him with slight resent. I assume you will think this is distasteful but if you ever wanna make a broke 29-yr old VERRRRRY happy send me one of your old handbags! lol, you rock Jill. Also, how would you feel if Ally covered herself in tattoos???

Jill:
I have to tell you that seeing your mother on one of the episodes where she talked with Bethenny, told me why you have been so successful as an adult. Please don't misunderstand, I believe that you are a very good business woman and just the kind of person that anyone would be priviledged to have as a girlfriend, but i could tell that your mom raised you with such common sense and instilled a lot of confidence in you. I didnt have parent's to give me that start in life. Do you think it's too late for me at 46 to find a man with business sense to marry so I can get off the loser line and start feeling like a winner, like you do? P.S. I agree, gay husbands make the good friends,:) Congrats on your success. You make me feel good and wish that I had a friend just like you.

Jill,
I have watched you from the beginning of Season 1 on the NYC show. I think you are a honest and caring person, BUT sometimes I think you need to take some of your own advice. You said Jacqueline had an over the top party for her son and that Ashley seems spoiled. You seem the same way! Who paid for your daughter Ally to go to Paris? And who buys her her designer clothes and shoes? I'm sure it is you..well your husband. And what's with Ally's last name all of a sudden being Zarin? I wonder how Bobby's real kids feel about all of that... hmm.

I myself was born and raised in Bergen County NJ however I still have some of NYC in me my father owns a 100 year old glass business and half of a block on W 17th St. You are a class act and so is Gloria she reminds me of my Jewish mother who I miss every day of my life! Jill,

You need to sit down and be quiet. How dare you tell these women to edit themselves on a show that is supposed to REAL. How ridiculous. I want them being nothing but themselves, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Season 1 Jill and Season 2 Jill were not the same people. I loved you and LuAnn last season. This season both of you seemed to let the RHONY go to your head and became caricatures of people we never knew. LuAnn was worse than you, but still. You changed. You need to go somewhere and work on yourself. You are so petty and child-like to be a woman of a certain age. The way you are always trying to one up Ramona and always have the last word is very junior high. You need therapy, you certainly aren't in a position to be doling out advice to other adults. You shouldn't be allowed to offer advice to small children or animals.

Love Always,
Ainsley

great take on things, Jill. and, yes, kind. I think the NYC girls are the best ones to be able to see the good, bad, and ugly/real of this show since you are so close geographically and in the crazy style of the East Coast "city" life. The NJ ladies are North Jersey ladies.. a whole different world from the rest of the state, believe me!! I live close to Philly and we have many women "close" to this, but, without the money and style of living in the (what we call the NY suburbs) of North Jersey.. These ladies are way over the top of the typical NJ scale of life in NJ. Maybe that's why Bravo didn't give the the "Tomato" as their fruit? The rest of us ..Jersey girls are often called the "Jersey Tomatoes" by guys in Philly. The North Jersey girls could never be seen planting tomatoes in their yard, of course. Their hair might frizz or they may break a fake nail.

Jill,

I personally find you to be the most enjoyable on the show, because I connect with your relationship with Bobby and your generous spirit. I love your Blogs, they are always very concise, clear and relatively accurate. I must however correct one miscommunication that happens every year around this time.

Although beautiful sentiment is appreciated, as the Widow of a Veteran who must watch her children mourn the death of the father; please let me enlighten everyone who makes this heartfelt mistake, Memorial Day is never, ever Happy. Although we understand your good intentions please educate everyone by telling them that the appropriate response to Memorial Day should be "With Heartful Thanks For Their Sacrifice" or In Memory of All Our Troops, Have a Blessed Day". It is after all a day to remember the sacrifices of many, including their families.

I really truly love you "Fabulous 5" women and can't wait for next season.

JIll.
I thought you were to blog about the show.
Why do feel the need to tell these women what is wrong with their children.
What kind of person are you to make negative comments about children under the age of 5.
How about keeping the comments about the show and leave the kids, their personalities and their behavior out of the comments.
You said you were scared of the NJ housewives keep putting their kids down and I am sure you will have a reason to be scared.
Mothers can be very protective.

Love, Love, Love you!

I think you are absolutely fabulous! I could not be happier that I am still able to enjoy your humor and wit. I was wondering if I was the only one who thought the P/A interview was unprofessional. I love Dina but she has set the pace for a very unprofessional relationship. As a seasoned P/A myself, I would not have taken the job. Hugs don't pay the bills.....Every word in your blog is right on target. I will look forward to your blogs!! ;)

As a life long Jersey girl, married to a CEO who happens to be Italian, I am totally disgraced by these Jersey housewives! None of my friends act or look like they do!
This is nothing more than another Italian put down and I am tired of people in other parts of the country thinking this is what New Jersey is all about. It's just taking over where the Soprano's left off. These women are pea brains who do nothing but shop, eat and have grown children still living at home! Get a real life all of you. The Manzo's are thick as thieves because that is where the come from!!! If you know what I mean.

Jill, you are always real and perceptive of people. I like the way you hold other accountable. I believe you went a little easy on Teresa but really, she hard not to like. Absolutely adorable. I think you were hard on Dina but she can take it, it seems.

JerseyMom

Hi girls,
I have a question. It's truly amazing no matter how hard some of us work, there is never enough money for important things. My son has 2 years of college left. I know $12000. a year is not bad but when you don't have it it's quite alot. How and what can I do to raise money for him to finish school? He is handsome, funny and loaded with friends due to his personality. That doesn't help pay for school...any suggestions? That's why it upset me so to hear Jill complain about a new car,"I'm not happy:! Come Jill....tell me that was for ratings!

Good job jill ! I think the jersey girls are boring, it's like watching the VIEW for hours on end.

HI Jill, What a great idea for all the housewives to auction off their clothes worn on air and other items of their choice for a favorite charity? What do you think?

Jill,
I am very surprised to see only one comment here of your mother. Jill's mom is no nonsense I can tell. I would love to have such a woman in my corner! I do have to say that Jill is by far my favorite. I love those who speak their minds but are cute and funny! People that are loved truly like she is and live and love that way in return. BUT only if one deserves it.

Jill,
I could never be mad at you and love you.
I do have to come to the defense of Danielle a little bit though. Unlike the other women on the show, she doesnt have a rich husband supporting her. In this economy, you must consicer the idea that she may not have the spare funds for a charitable function. Speaking as someone who works two jobs and careens from working like a crazy person to total exhaustion, it's tough making ends meet. There are so many worthwhile charities I would love to give to, but right now it's all I can do to keep body and soul together and roof over my head. Your reality check dear lady is that not everyone lives the priveledged life you live.

Jill-
Be expecting a homemade version of my reality homelife with my children. I need to hear it like it is.. Your analoigy of the NJ Housewives makes PERFECT sense, especially about motherhood and relationship with children. If anything YOU should be writing about parenting !!!

God Bless

Hi Jill, I mean Hi Jill Zarin! I love it how you introduce yourself it's so original and it suits you. Your very real and you have a big heart. I've grown to adore you on the show. Your Bobby is so wonderful and it shows just how much he loves you. It's very apparent how he adores you and your lovely daughter. I know your very busy with work and the show, But I would like to know if perhaps you may give me some pointers on raising funds / donations for sponsorships. My daughter has been chosen as a finalist in the Miss California Teen pageant and with your experience I would greatly take your advice and use it to help her experience this adventure. We misssed the chance to attent the IMTA contest in NY last July but hope to use your advice for the next IMTA in Los Angeles this coming January. Thanking you in advance. Rebecca E Davila. ps. My daughter is named Jena E. Davila and I would like to invite you to join us for the Pageant in August. It's in Anaheim,Ca. Thanks again.....

Jill, you are the best, a great lady named Gloria gave me very good advice also, most of my life. She was my Mother.
You are blessed with good judgement, a heart full of good wishes for all, and most of all you are Fair with your comments. It was a pleasure to watch you weekly.
I am a Real Housewife who happens to live in Orange Co. I work with seniors, who everyday give me insprition.
Keep up the good work for you charity, the kids need it. You got my attention, I now have a new charity to support. After all that's what its all about.
I would love to see another season of the RHONY.

Jill,
What you said is okay, and I think you're a nice enough person probably (except I didn't like your attitude on the reunion show), but anyway, all I want to say now is I am sooooo tired of people (ahem, you and Bethenny, and I suppose others) saying "I say it the way I see it" or "I call them like I see them", "I say it like it is", blah, blah, blah.
Those phrases are being WAY overused. Broken record, please get a new catch phrase.

Jill - I loved your remarks and agree with practically everything you wrote. Let me add I was a big fan of the Housewives of NYC (never missed a show & watched many of the re-runs). NYC & NJ may be next door neighbors, but they are "worlds apart" when it comes to which housewives have brains and class.....the NY women win hands down. The thing that stood out the most to me about these women is they all need to take a course in parenting skills. I'm really turned off by all of the NJ women and doubt if I will follow the show......BRAVO - PLEASE BRING BACK THE NY LADIES AGAIN!!!

Great blog, Jill! I like hearing your viewpoint and think you were very kind yet constructive with your thoughts/criticism. I do think that you are reading too far into Dina's interview with that "kid". I think she may know him (perhaps a busboy from the Brownstone?) and she was enlisting him to help her personally as well? I believe Dina was teasing about being paid in hugs instead of money...I think she was being "cute". (oh my - do I sound like Kelly? I hope not!) Anyway, I enjoyed reading your comments...I hope you continue commenting on this show.

Jill, its funny your comments about Danielle being on the "Cougar Show", I am not 100 percent sure but I think that Danielle and Dina were on the tv called Cougars sometime last year.. Kelly Ripa husband was on the show as the announcer, there was a younger man for the cougar women..Do you know if these women were infact on that television show?

You and Bethenny are awesome

Jill the NJ housewives are going to have to follow some big footstep it won't be easy.I loved the show before they put Kellie. She just didn't belong ,she didn't fit. I don't know where Alex belonged she was only on when with Simon. It was all about housewives but none of you where. When you say housewives is a married woman whose job is keeping house and taking care of domestic affairs.Sorry but I loved the show.

Iam in your court 100 percent Jill. After watching the episode last night of Ms. Cougar at dinner propositioning her date to go to the bathroom, I was floored. YOU ARE ON CAMERA AND YOU SAY THAT. I was thinking; "wow you are a mom and saying this type of stuff on national tv". If I was her kid and I saw that, I would be disgusted and fall into a deep depression. I would never look at my mom the same. I think a few of these women that have strolled onto the shows forgot one thing,,,,,their kids. The fact that their kids will have to live with the embarrasement of their parents actions and words. I applaud you and LuAnn for mainting some sort of diginity and self respect on the show. You not only knew you were letting America into your life but you protected your kids by not acting like some camera hungry, rich skank lol. YOU ROCK

Hi Jill,
Love that your still blogging!
I can't wait for the New York housewives to return. I miss you guys already! Something about the RHONY was more grounded and real. I can't really relate to any of these women but I am sure lots of people will enjoy the show.
