This Is Why Margaret Josephs Loves Her Hilarious Housekeeper Marlene So Much

If you’ve been tuning into this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, then you’ve probably been cracking up, just like us. Why? Because of Margaret Josephs's housekeeper Marlene, of course! “First of all, I’m so blessed to have Marlene, I love her, she’s like a human cartoon character,” said Margaret on the RHONJ After Show. And we couldn’t agree more! Sort of flighty, but also always in on the joke, Marlene is the background character that seems to be stealing every scene she enters. (Remember when she was dancing during Margaret’s dinner party with Melissa and Joe Gorga?!)

Buuuut, the crazy-funny helper is just so-so when it comes to actually keeping the house together. According to Margaret, Marlene can’t make coffee. At all. And while she’s the best cleaner, she loses everything. “We can never find anything,” said Margaret. “Joe is always screaming about her behind her back, but when she comes to the door he kisses her every single day.” Yup: LOL.

More reasons we love her: She always asking if Margaret and Joe had sex — “She wants to know every intimate detail!” Margaret joked — and she talks behind everyone’s back, commenting on which of Margaret’s friends is nice or who’s gained weight. Oh, and she has zero boundaries when it comes to personal space, as Margaret said she often walks in on her when she’s naked and will comment, “Oh you’ve lost weight, you look great.” If this sounds like the setting of a sitcom to you, we agree.
