How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Hello again, another Monday, another blog. So, did you miss us last week? I think I needed the week off to gear up for this blog. As I sit here and type, I'm still not sure what to say, I think I'll let my "automatic pilot" kick in and see what happens.

Let me begin with Albie. Many of you have asked how he's doing and if he's back in school. I can't answer those questions right now, but keep watching, his story plays out over the next few episodes, and I will give you all a final update on the Reunion Show. Thank you so much for your letters of support and encouragement. We appreciate every single one of you for taking the time to write. It would be impossible to answer them all, but I promise you that we've read every single post, whether it was on Facebook, Twitter, my Bravo blog, snail mail, and even emails via The Brownstone. Each and every one of you have played a part in building Albie's confidence back up, so I'm sending you all a "virtual" hug and a HUGE thank you. Can you feel it??? Xoxoxo :o)

OK, ughhhh, time to talk about the fashion show. What a mess. I find myself struggling over what's right and wrong, what's good and evil. After watching the episode, there is no doubt in my mind that Teresa's intention was to say more than just hello. I have to imagine that viewers would all agree that Teresa was "stirring the pot." Here comes the BUT. There was a method to her madness. It is a long, sordid, ugly story that is Teresa's to tell, not mine. Remember, I made a promise never to speak on a certain subject matter again, right? To tell the story would be going back on my word and a promise is a promise. Trust me on this one folks; it all makes sense in the end. I'm not saying I agree on the delivery, but I understand the motive.

Ashley... I'm trying to put myself in her shoes. If I thought that someone had harmed my mother, what would I do? Would I immediately confront that person or would I try to find my mother to make sure she was OK? I'd probably do the latter, but then again, I'm not 18. I'm also questioning whether Ashley's behavior was a planned attack or a knee jerk reaction. Here's a kid with a huge chip on her shoulder towards a certain individual for a multitude of reasons. Did she reach her boiling point and was this the straw that broke the camel's back or did she seize the moment and go for it? Like I said, good/evil, right/wrong. Ashley's facial expressions told me she was clearly upset and I certainly don't believe for a minute that she was playing to the cameras. I have to believe that it was a knee jerk reaction that felt really good. That doesn't make it right, nor does it make her behavior excusable. I think Jacqueline handled the situation as best she could given the circumstances and the chaos at the time. I agree 100% with the position that Chris and Jacqueline took with Ashley regarding the whole situation. They clearly stated that they didn't condone Ashley's behavior and she would have to face the consequences of her actions. I would hate to be in Jacqueline's shoes. Thank you for protecting me, but what were you thinking? I can understand Ashley feeling that Jacqueline was going against her too. In her mind she was protecting her mother. Like I said, what a mess. Unfortunately the story doesn't end here. Keep watching.

I am not proud of this episode. Did it make good TV? I suppose it did. At the end of the day, when our "15 minutes" are up, all we'll have is our names and reputations. I'm hoping that when the smoke clears you will have a better understanding of the hows and whys of that night. As for myself, a promise is a promise ... UNTIL THE REUNION SHOW.

I'm polishing the Academy Award now.

As always, thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you back here next week!

Xoxo C.
