Meet Baby Audriana!

Teresa recounts the birth of her fourth daughter, Audriana.

Welcome to baby Audriana’s birth day! I loved this episode. It was such a special day and it made me cry to watch it all over again. I don’t want to spoil a blog about my darling baby with talk about anyone else, so you’ll have to wait until next week to hear my thoughts on Danielle and her little brother in-crime Danny (same name, isn’t that weird? Dani and Danny? I wonder if she picked her new name to match her "good friend" from prison.) But right now, it’s Audriana’s week!

Even though it seemed scheduled and easygoing, I had Audriana naturally like I did all my other girls. No scheduled c-section or induction. Gia’s big Fashion Week show was the day before and I was dilated at it all day, so I knew Monday was it. Once the contractions started, we headed for the hospital. But I have done this three other times, so I knew I had plenty of time. Enough time to make French Toast for the girls and then some...

I can’t believe Bravo showed me getting that giant epidural needle in my back! That made me cringe watching it and it happened to me! I never had that view of it though! I don’t think the epidural took because I felt every single bit of pain afterwards (as you could hear). I actually forgot I was wearing a microphone, so what you hear is all live, as it happened. And yes, Audriana was born in a push and a half, but I was in labor for 10 hours (and they were really big pushes!)

You see how perfect she was when she came out? The cameras came right back into the room as soon as she was born. I wanted to get her out of that ugly blanket and put pretty clothes on her. I didn’t even realize she hadn’t been washed yet. She was so pink and perfect! We also didn’t know we were having another girl. We knew it was our last baby and we wanted it to be a surprise. I always thought it was a girl, and I was so happy it was!

Audriana Giudice was born September 14, 2009, at 5:56 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long. She doesn’t have a middle name. None of my daughters do. Neither do Joe or I. I made up the name Audriana (I’m sure I’ll hear from a bunch of Audrianas now! Hi! Love love love your name!) I never heard anyone with the name and I liked Adriana, but I wanted it to have the Italian sounding "u" in it, so I just added a "u." I like pretty and unusual girls names that end in an "a" of course! Audriana is the light of our lives. She just brought so much extra love into our family. The girls just love on her all day long. And she’s such a happy baby!

How sweet was baby Nicholas bringing her a rose (and lots of presents from Auntie Jacqueline)? I would love it if they got married some day.

I asked Dina to be the godmother, and I even cried watching that scene again. In the part of Italy where our family is from – Sala Consilina in Salerno – you pick a godmother who you would want your daughter to grow up and be like. So if you pick someone cheap, they say your child will be cheap. Dina decorates so well, maybe Audriana will pick that up from her! Just kidding. Seriously, Dina is a beautiful person inside and out. She’s so classy and beautiful, she’s a great mom, she’s got a great heart, she’s religious and cares so much for children. I would be honored if Audriana was like her in any way. You’ll get to see the christening in an upcoming episode.

Thank you so much for all your sweet wishes and congratulations! To answer some of your questions, no, none of the other Manzos or Lauritas are godparents to my other girls. We used family members. If you don’t have kids yourself and I freaked you out with my screaming, I’m so sorry, but I promise, it’s so worth it! And you can find the hat with the flower that Audriana was wearing on my website at: Click on "Shop with Me." Also lots of the jewelry and t-shirts I wear, and the headbands and bows my girls wear.

It was an amazing week for me regarding my other baby: my new book Skinny Italian. It hit #9 on the New York Times bestseller list!!! Thank you all so very much for supporting it! It means the world to me. I love love LOVE hearing about your adventures making healthy Italian food, how your kids are eating it, and seeing pictures of your wonderful creations. Keep sending them to me!

I hear the book is sold out in a lot of stores. The homepage of my website has links directly to the book on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, and Borders. (Only $12 too!) I’m also adding new book signing dates every day (here I come, Philly!), so check it out: Also follow me on Facebook or Twitter (@Teresa_Giudice) and I love to talk to my beautiful, fabulous fans!

Please, if anyone is interested in helping the family of the beautiful little girl with the rare form of cancer, Emanuela, to help the pay for treatments, go to It really would be so much appreciated. The family needs all the love, prayers, hope and help they can get. Thank you!

Tanti Baci,

Dina: What am I Doing Here?

Dina Manzo explains what it's like to sit on the reunion couch.

Hi all,

I kind of meant what I said on that couch -- this show is so f---ed up. As I sit and watch the reunion, I wonder what goes through people's head sometimes. Bobby literally spitting on me as he screams at a friend of 10 years, Jim whipping out his files and then of all things says I have a fat ass, LOL! For what? Fame? I literally sat there saying to myself time and time again, "What the hell am I doing here?" Again, not ever saying I'm too good, but just different. There is something really beautiful that came out of this though...I am seeing some real proof of my practices. Take a look

Sending you a ton of love for your support!

Dina xoxo
