No. 1 - Porcelain, Rainbows, and a Child's Laughter
Much like Chris Manzo as he was saying it, I cracked up during his description of Kathy. Allow me to refresh your memory, "I love Kathy Wakile. We say she's made of porcelain, rainbows, and a child's laughter." I personally would have substituted porcelain for cannoli, but otherwise I think that's probably accurate. Again, look at how she comforted Gia. Plus I don't think it hurt that she shows up with trays of desserts wherever she goes. This folks is likely the secret to making people love you -- baked goods.
Bravo Editor: Bravo seems to be anti-Teresa, don't know why, but the fact of the matter is that your slant is just sad and terribly unfair. And now Gia is the fodder for morning water cooler talk. I hope Aunt Melissa is happy because all of this is because Melissa had to get on this show, and the frosting on the cake- obliterate Gia's Mommy. Ya know, you can make all the lighthearted jokes you want about what happened with Gia last night, but it doesn't change the fact of what it was- nothing more, nothing less than: dispicable bullying from adults directed at Teresa through her child. It was so disgusting, when Jaq was reading that book draped in sarcasm to a child, he left the room. She did her sarcastic mode of operation that she does with Ashley to a ten year old. That kid has seen her mother publically flogged to the nation- of course she will be sensitive. I thought she handled herself with amazing grace and made a FOOL of Jaqueline and Caroline. Caroline gave it to her good, compounded with the talking heads follow-up, comparing Gia to her Mom. Jaqueline read that story so slow, with sarcasm, mocking a child. It was disturbing. I got news for you- it ISN'T those "tween" years; it's a very smart girl who saw through the crap, was trapped with two adults who have it out for her Mommy and absolutely handled it well asking for her "Mommy." Last night was a very sad day for RHONJ and the jealous JUNES. Aunt Melissa should be good and proud she saw her plan to fruition. ,There is no way in HELL now that Jaqueline would be allowed to be with Gia, Teresa wouldn't let it happen. But at the time, Teresa wasn't aware of how intricate, vile and manipulative the background plans were to take her down because she was the "it" girl. Look, we all know black water is going nowhere, the lawsuit is all over the internet. And we KNOW Caroline's talk show fizzled,we know she tried to do a cookbook and not ONE editor wanted it. Melissa is NOT goin to be a pop star and Kathy's bakery empire was gone before her husband could say "burn the bitch on a stake". ALL OF THIS turmoil and death of a family is sour grapes because Melissa came on this show to eliminate, and as her brother said "make Teresa fall," and the other women were all too happy to jump on board because of failure. Bethenny had the entire RealHousewives conglomerate in a hopeful stupor, and when Caroline realized it wasn't happening for her, and Teresa was getting there fast, MAN, it was Game On! Poor Teresa didn't know what 'was hitting her', and these current episodes, pre Teresa finding out, are painful to watch. She's walking through a mindfield, when she thinks she's in friendly lines. The witchunt zeroing in on her daughter is too much. Associated bullying on a child. It's almost as if they were setting up their "talking heads" --"children learn what they live" "she's competitive, I wonder where she gets that?" Bravo, it wasn't funny what two grown women did to Gia, but fortunately GIA is one smart cookie, just like her Mom. The worst part for me is KATHY last night saying on the clubhouse that "Gia has seen a lot" with a look of pity. Well Mrs. Wakile, there was nothing for Gia to see that would hurt her until you and Melissa came on this show with one purpose. You both wanted to be a Bethennys in your own right and for some reason, Teresa had to be in the GUTTER to make this happen. We watched it--the manipualtion was spearheaded by Melissa, but Caroline, Jaqueline and Kathy jumped on ship with eagerness and a mission beyond the likes of which I have EVER seen. Joe Gorga? I cannot even write about. I don't believe you will allow the words to describe him. He set up his sister and continues to do so. Imagine Gia's day at school today. Nice work Aunt Melissa and Uncle Joey. All of this is the culmination of you and your wife wanting to be stars. It was the perfect storm with the other women. If I was Teresa, I would never allow you near any of my family again. It was too much too far. Give Teresa her own show.
I realize the season has probably all been taped, but to see all of Gia's anguish after "Field Day" I believe it was over a lot more than her Uncle "cheating. On the last episode as well as this episode the look on her face while overhearing her parents' heated discussions is really tragic. I feel for this girl. The Tween years are hard enough without a camera following her around during some of the difficult moments. Same as last year when she tried to sing and couldn't because she was so upset. I hope you all at Bravo take a good look at this. I can barely stand to watch this poor girl, it seems her sisters are still happily oblivious! I may not like certain things about teresa, but I believe she is a good mother and adores her girls.
Watching multiple feuds within the family...Teresa & Joey, Teresa and Melissa, Joe G and the world, Teresa and Kathy and other mentions of in-law feuds, etc. must be terribly embarrasing for the children. Listening to adult conversations, cursing, swearing, drinking and violence must be tough.
FOR CHRIS MANZO TO SAY THAT CAROLINE IS LIKE KATHY IS INSULTING KATHY. CAROLINE IS NOTHING LIKE KATHY--CAROLINE & JACKIE JUST GANGED UP ON AN 11 YEAR OLD --CAN THEY STOOP ANY LOWER.... CHRIS MANZO IS AN IDIOT...
GOD! I miss Jay Mohr SORRY........Where are his blogs? They were the absolute greatest to read and laugh about!
Chris' comment about Kathy was cute...but, he is wayyyyyyyyyy off base to compare Kathy to his mom...that is laughable!
I wondered to how quickly Jaqs came out with that specific book.I was also stunned by the viewers poll on Andy. I live in Cali, I use to vote, then read a tweet from someone on the east coast and found out the show is live on the east coast. All that texting for nothing.I believe the polls would have swayed more towards Gia's side had the bleeding heart liberals of the country, left coast votes counted. Gia is a smart girl. She knows her mom isn't close to Caroline anymore. Caroline looks at Tre like she's a parasite.I'm sure it doesn't go unnoticed by Gia, I'm sure Gia has heard about the rift. Like my son says,"if you don't like my mom, then you don't like me." I guarantee that's how Gia feels. Why should she have to put up with being reprimanded by a woman who doesn't like her mom. Gia loves her mom, it doesn't matter what her mom has done to infuriate others, a child will always have their moms back. They can say whatever they want about Tre. One thing Tre takes pride in is her kids, she's a wonderful mom.No one can take that from her. Last seasons reunion Caroline stated she wasnt Tre's friend. All I could think of was the kids. How is that going to make Gia feel. What a loss it was going to be for Caroline, not having Tre's kids in her life anymore.
So, as we (well, I already know that since the producers of this show - I'm sure including you) are bonding with the Manzos - you seem to think everything they do and say is funny - guess what - I don't - never did. I don't like your snide comment "pain of having a book read" - obviously you are not a mother of a 10 year old and are not seeing the clear picture of everything this girl is going through!!! Truth is Jac (who, yeah, JUST HAPPENED to have this book right there) and Caroline were overbearing with Gia - NOT COOL. Caroline's hatred for Teresa is now being projected onto Teresa's children. Shame on her! Personally, the Manzos make me NEVER want to want this show again.
Maybe I'm just old-fashioned but when I was Gina's age I was taught to RESPECT adults. Would not matter what was going on within our own home, RESPECT for adults were ALWAYS important. Plain and simple.
Wow!! Andy must really want Teresa off this show! To attack a kid? Really? My seventeen year old son commented on the fact Joe cheated before Gia started saying it...BOTH TIMES!! Yes, Gia was correct, Joe cheated. Wouldn't it of been a better lesson to a young kid if the ADULT took responsibility and admitted to cheating?? And then made it about "it's only a game" No...the adults were smack talking...AND YOU EXPECT a 10 year old to get that?? Anyone with a brain would understand that Gia felt trapped, she asked for her MOM!! At that point it should of stopped. Caroline and Jacqueline manipulated that whole thing. ANDY, are you really trying to suggest that a 10 year old should be held responsible? Even if Teresa lets her kids run wild, ANDY, are you condoning this producer making FUN OF A 10 YEAR OLD??
Bravo, for the love of God, the bullys are now moving to Teresa's children. What's next? Her parents? Melissa has accomplished everything she wanted (except the pop star career, not gonna happen) she manipulated Teresa's friends against her, she tried to do that to the fans, but we were on to the "created" scenes from the little oscary worthy "singing conception" idea with amazing grace in the closet. She wormed and slithered her way through every facet of Teresa's life. BUT NOW, it's moved to Gia? Melissa's cohorts were all too happy to climb on board becasue Teresa was the "it" girl. We get it, but we're done. It's not fun anymore. I'm definately not watching the reunion. PLEASE give Teresa her own show. What these women are doing is soooo disturbing. I get you need the drama for ratings but now Gia? Too much,,,too far. Teresa raising her children could be its own show. I adored every minute of Teresa and the Gia scenes.Wanted more, more, more... BEEN a loooong time since I enjoyed RHONJ,Iwell, it's been since Melissa and Kathy joined...
This is my favorite of all the Real Housewives shows. Because you actually see the housewives cooking. I wish my television had taste and smell vision.
Please Mr./Ms. Producers, get rid of the Manzo's and Jacqueline. They add nothing to the show, especially Caroline and her three kids. A snoozefest is what they are. Kathy's kids need more air time, especially her son, cute and great personality. Enough of Rosie salivating over attractive young women, too. It is not entertaining for everyone.
Gia didn't want to go to field day - she wanted to go to the "shore". Combined with Theresa's team player comments, it makes one wonder why the two of them were there at all! The party would have gone on just fine without either of them!
Yes - bringing baked goods is always a sure-fire way to keep getting invited to the parties - now if Kathy could only get her husband picked for a team, field day might have gone a bit more smoothly for them all.
Bravo...love the show! However, I think it was in poor taste to show the scenes with Gia at the Field Day. If her mother wasn't going to stop the filming, then you had some responsibility to protect the kids. She is only 10. They don't really understand the ramifications of their behavior on national TV.
Just my opinion.
Really.
The most important lesson from Gia's breakdown -- do not read her books!
Bravo has sunk to a new low. Your poll has to be rigged. No one who has any intergrity should vote in one of your polls.
You people are turning viewers off. Not only that. I used to enjoy reading this sections of the blog but now you are to embarras a kid? Have some shame. Learn to draw the line. People are tuning you out with this type of behavior.
and who is caroline, really that chick thinks just because she has a no class radio show that she is licensed to give advice to everyone. Go to school and get a real license.
It is so funny how everyone at Bravo keeps bashing their cash cow. Teresa is the show, if she leaves so do a lot of fans. I would rather watch a show about Gia than all the Manzos put together. She has more personality than all of them combined.
Let's not make this into Jaq never reading a book again for Gia. She made the mistake of reading a book about poor sportsmanship when Gia was already so upset and wanting someone to call her mom. She's a smart kid who gets straight A's in school. She also participates in a lot of competitions where I am sure she loses in some of them. It was the cheating that bothered her. Not the losing. She knew Jaq and bozo were only trying to take out their anger of Teresa on a small child. How sad that Kathy has to bring desserts to be noticed and liked.
JamieBH, you took the long route, but I agree with everything you've written. Maybe Gia WAS being a bit over the top. But on what parallel universe is it EVER ok for two adults (who are not the parents) to harass a kid like that? Truth be told? The Manzo kids probably never would've gotten themselves in a situation like that as 10 year olds. But if they did you KNOW Caroline would've killed the adults reprimanding her children. And not to take a cheap shot, but maybe Jac needs to evaluate her own parenting skills (hello Ashley) before taking on someone else's child. Just a suggestion...
And one more time I find myself asking: WHERE'S JAY MOHR??????? I miss his blog!!!!!!
PLEASE! Clean the house! Keep Teresa and get rid of all of the others! Teresa is the show! TERESA IS 100% THE STAR OF THE SHOW!
Totally agree with the comments about the shameful behavior by Caroline and Jacqueline towards Gia. I'm no Teresa fan, but she's totally being ambushed by her so-called friends and family. This show has jumped the shark!
Whoever writes this blog needs to be fired!! The producers of this show and Bravo are way too close to the Manzos!! The blogs and @bravotv twitter feeds are so pro-manzo and anti-giudice.
And lets be clear, the funniest part of the show was Teresa and Gia!!! Not Chris.. Really.. Get a clue.. Time for some new blood at Bravo!!
I am so sick of Caroline and her family acting like their royalty. Caroline is so manipulative and so transparent in front of the camera she spins everything the way she wants everyone else to see it except not from the privilege of her high horse. All she ever does is tell us who she is when I've got a pretty good look at who she actually is from watching the show this season and previous ones. And yes, it totally looks like Bravo is editing the show to gang up on Teresa, with Caroline at the helm of the witch hunt. Shame on her and Jacqueline both the way they treated the situation with Gia "it's not always about you" is what Caroline told her, but I think what she meant is "it's all about me and my over broadcasted family". Don't get me wrong I am not a fan of Teresa either but I've had it with the Manzos .
Bravo, I would love a show involving the Wakiles, Gorgas, Rosie and the Manzos. Teresa and her family are in need of family therapy away from the show. Teresa does not make this show.
Keep Teresa and get rid of the rest - they don't really have a story without her and their stories are boring!
Jackie & Caroline...so wrong, there is no way they can watch this episode again and not see how wrong they both were. Caroline wouldn't even sit at the same table as Teresa at the solstace party and now she feels she has the right to teach Teresa's child a lesson because "she loves her". BS!
Gia. That uber powerful bra shopping young woman will someday rule the world! She didn't want a tank bra!! Dang it! She wanted it padded! PADDED!!
Why did you, BRAVO, bring melissa and kathy to the show, for the drama? You are playing with peoples families, you knew they had issues with Teresa when you brought them on, now you wonder why people are getting so turned off by the show.
Why not bring on Caroline's brothers and sister's that don't talk to her and let them air out their skeletons to the world.
And by the way making fun of Gia is not cute, she was being disrespectful yes, but she is no idiot. She knows Jacqaline and Caroloine have no respect for her family and she feels it. They should have gone and got Teresa and let her deal with, it was not their place.
I am so confused as to all the "Teresa should get her own show" thing. The only reason she stands out is because she is the queen of trying to be a spin doctor. I also don't get all the Manzo/Laurita backlash. Caroline admits to her own moodiness. Jacqueline already stated that she felt that she stepped over a line with the Gia situation (which I don't agree with as I felt like she handled it just fine). But what I really don't get is why the viewers feel so sad for Teresa when she is clearly causing the majority of the problems in her family. She is the one saying terrible things to her brother about her sister-in-law and then acts like it is crazy that a husband would talk to his wife about the situation. When did a brother or a sister become more important than a husband or a wife? She says that her brother runs and tells his wife everything like a pansy, but then does the exact same thing with her husband. She makes low-blows when it comes to the other castmates and their parenting but acts like a victim when she is clearly a problem starter. I would not watch a show just based on Teresa's life. I am actually blown away that she cannot see her own part in her family strife. I think you need the balance of people like Jacqueline, Caroline, and Kathy to balance the blatantly distorted view point of Teresa...and then, of course, you need Melissa because she is the "Younger, better version of Teresa" and that is just good TV. Please do not inflate Teresa's healthy ego any more than necessary by giving her a spinoff. Enough with the spinoffs in general. The Housewives are an amazing line of shows, but I do not believe someone should be rewarded just because they are full of the most BS. I love Bravo and the Housewives, but you need the good people to balance the crazies. PLEASE NO TERESA SPINOFF....PLEASE!
I agree with "JennyW'-- "JamieBH" laid out an excellent blog and hit every point with brilliant accuracy! WELL DONE "JamieBH" Well done! BRAVO, Give Teresa her own show. Melissa & Joe Gorga are so set on getting everything Teresa has at the demise of Teresa's family. Two more despicable people I have NEVER seen. That site that has the words fame and whorgas in it give you everything you need to know about those two. GIVE TERESA HER WON SHOW.
If Bravo really wants a record breaking show - play Melissa and Joe Gorga's audition tape at the reunion. End the rumors once and for all about their intentions about coming on the show!

Wow, Teresa could've gone a different, more appropriate direction with the whole bra/Gia thing. Kathy is incredible. She IS porcelain; check out that decollete...not a line or wrinkle! And that tray of desserts...OMG, I'd be a fatty if she were my friend.
