First of all, thanks so much for making this season a huge success. When we signed on for the formerly named Manhattan Moms, I was terrified it would destroy my career and the fans have changed my life.
I thought this was a boring, "debbie downer" episode.
As for surfing, I am by no means avid. It is a challenging, freeing, terrifying sport, and like yoga, it keeps me in the moment. I don't have the time to exercise that much anymore, so I try to squeeze yoga in 2 to 3 times a week. It calms my psychotic mind and relaxes my clenched up body from running, traveling and stressing.
Truthfully, I don't think it even crossed Luann's mind to pay. She probably thought it was comped. I'm not "stuck" paying, but I always err on the side of over-tipping or paying for others. I couldn't pay rent 2 years ago (I still always paid by the way) so now I'm so grateful that I tip everyone so they really appreciate it.
The Hamptons Classic isn't my thing. I'm a racetrack girl. It is quick, action-packed, there's gambling involved and an incredible group of hilarious characters. The racetrack is filled with degenerates. I'm a little bit of a degenerate at heart. The Classic is a bit stuffy for me. I find the horses beautiful, the sport elegant, and the clothes very classic, but it is just too disciplined and constricted of a sport. As I said in season 1, I'm a mustang and I need to run free. I rode English as a child and never loved it. Surfing or snowboarding are more my speed.
