Bethenny Frankel's Daughter and Dog Have Post-Divorce Reactions To Her New Man

The #RHONY mogul looks back on her divorce--and teases what's next for her love life.

Back in July, Bethenny Frankel finalized her divorce from Jason Hoppy, nearly four years after they announced their separation. And while she may have closed that chapter in her life, she recently told Us Weekly that "there are still some bad parts that I definitely thought would be gone."

It's been especially difficult for Bethenny to deal with the divorce given that she and Jason have a daughter, Bryn, 6. "But the hardest parts have been anything that seems negative for my daughter. Anything that is unnecessarily negative for my daughter is really challenging for me. You know, you kind of have to look inside, find your strength."

But, The Real Housewives of New York City mogul is dating again. She's been dating banker Dennis Shields, a longtime friend of the Skinnygirl founder. "He’s exceptionally brilliant and funny and a very major family person," she said, adding that "my dog and my daughter like the guy."

As for what qualities Bethenny now looks for in a guy, she shared, "Integrity and kindness now are so much more important than I ever even realized, because I didn’t realize how many people don’t have it. I think I’ve been pretty sheltered in my emotional estimation of people. I’ve gotten pretty surprised."

And if you're wondering if she has any plans to walk down the aisle again, well, this is what she had to say about that. "I finally got to the place where everything is settled. Why start to, like, throw it up in the air again?" she said. "I'm not looking for helicopters to fly over my house while I wear some big, white poufy dress. I don't feel ready for that right now."
