Ready For A Rematch?
Jill talks tennis, charity work, and a possible rematch with Ramona.
April 7, 2009I was surprised that Kelly decided to help me with the charity, but was grateful. She didn't know me, or any of us for that matter. Kelly must have thought it over and realized that if she didn't get involved somehow, how could she stay on the show? It is called the The Real Housewives of New York City after all. The reason I invited her to begin with was to add her to our cast. Kelly told Christina she had a few things to donate. The only thing that was ever confirmed was the photo shoot with Giles Bensimone. The other items never materialized and I don't even remember what they were supposed to be. Bethenny was correct on her blog when she said that we have yet to confirm a date with Mr. Bensimone. We have been trying to contact him since October and finally returned the auction winner the $6,500 they paid. (It did not sell for the $25,000 estimate.) Kelly has said she is trying to get Giles to honor his commitment, but of course cannot control what he does. We will continue to communicate with his publicist and hope to reconnect the winner with Mr. Bensimone and donate the money to the charity it was intended for.
As I have said before, I did not want to play this match. Mario was dying to show off his tennis skills and was using me to do that and get a free membership at CityView. I did not want to get involved. I offered to step away a few times, but they kept coming back to make a date. I knew I couldn't win (theoretically) unless I played with someone Mario chose. First they said it was a friendly game (watch the Russell Simons event,) but kept trying to make a competition out of it. Which was it supposed to be? I still don't know. I actually have the emails from Mario and Ramona dealing with the date mix-up. It was a mix-up because his Production Assistant did not communicate with me or with my PA. The email trail shows how I was not on the original chain. It was late September before it was straighten out. But it was straightened out, so what is the big deal?

I must agree. You are the most down to earth of all the housewives. You and Bethenny are the only "REAL" women on the show. Romana has two faced issues. Kelly is off the wall. LuAnn , I have no clue where she is coming from and or who she is. Alex is as fake as can be. See right through her.

Jill - you are the most down to earth of all the housewifes and I love you!! Bethenny is my other favorite. Some are critical of your spending, but it really is your decision - if you have the ability to be able to spend that amount, so be it. Kelly is in serious need of some counseling and Brad would be an excellent replacement for her - he'd be a lot more fun to watch and wouldn't be as delusional as Kelly is. She's actually a very boring individual trying to be interesting. I can't wait for the next season and seriously hope you are the main focus of the show - you make Housewifes worth watching!
Jill you surely are my favorite on the show. I think you and Bethenny are the "REAL" deal! How you kept your cool during the reunion show is beyond me but you managed to do so very well. Ramona continually talks out of both sides of her mouth and is so vengeful when she thinks she has been crossed, and that Kelly is a true nut case. Whatever she is on must be quite strong because she really believes her own bs. Like you, Bethenny also tells it like it is. Don't let anyone ruin your friendship! You have a great family(including Mom & Dad). I can't wait until you are back on Bravo again!!

To all the house wives in New York you all are out of this world I love Bethaney, Jill, Luanne, Ramona, Alex and then if she comes back next season whats her name Kelly..... Kelly needs to watch herself on tv over and over again to see how she is not all that.....Bethaney you are all that and a bag of chips...Jill you are so funny and sincere....Luanne sorry to hear about your marriage.....Ramona lighten up ....Alex you and Simon deserve each other......But I hope to watch you next season...

I strongly feel that I need to voice my opinion...I think that you are one of the most interesting business persons I have ever had the pleasure of being exposed too. On the show, you showed the class that is "you" both in your personal and professional life. You and your spouse Mr. Zarin are an inspiration to those of us that wish to have both a happy home and business life.I wish only the best for your continued prosperity and the hope of walking into your store only to be greeted by you or Mr.Zarin in person.

By FAR you are my favorite on this show. I love your honesty and your very genuine friendship with Bethenny. Here's my personal take on the rest of the cast members.
Kelly- not evil, just a bit delusional and you are right, she is on her own planet
Ramona- nuttier than a payday
Luann-going through a lot, give her a break!
Alex- the most misunderstood person on the show and I think she is genuinely a good and solid person! She gets a bad rap.
Bethenny- a little on the two faced side, not really a "housewife" but I think she's smart, witty and funny
Mario- jerky this season
The group as a whole: needs to be nicer to one another and happier for successes. You guys are way too rough on each other!!! Try to hold each other to every single thing said and done. Enough! Jill, you said it best, your mother would be horrified.

What can I say..........None of you live in the real world. Such petty, petty, petty issues going on here. I never respond to these blogs, but this is just unreal. Here is a wake up call...all of you better hope and pray that all this that you have is not swept out from under you. I had my own business for almost 10 years and have had to close it down over the past year and half due to this economy - and my husband got laid off. We went from making $200,000/year to hoping to make the mortgage and counting out change for lunch for the kids. There are not many housewives in todays economy that can relate to your issues - much less spend $16,000 on a handbag. It is very hard to sympathize with you when your biggest issue is who said what about whom behind their backs!

Hi Jill, I am always a fan of (this show) it allows people to see that everyone in life is flawed and to embrace it,I do think that you get over things quickly and are concious of "humanity".We all obviously need to see raw and unedited stuff to escape the noise in our heads. I think all women in any type of pack, don't always run well together.You seem to live your life as a straight shooter.I think what people need to realize is everyone has different agenda's inlife and if you enjoy bags,clothes ect ,fine. I think we tend to measure what people like and do by what we ourselves like. this is something that americans are obsessed with actually. I pride myself on shutting out what other's think.If there is a serious character flaw, address it, if not who cares and just accept it.I am hoping for more
All of you people are getting on Jills case for buying that purse for herself because of the economy. Its her money she has the right to spend it any way she wants. ALl of you who are juding her for spending her money the way she wants have to be jealous because she is in the position where she can make such a purchase. I love the show. Jill and Bethanny you two are my favorites. If you all have such issues with what goes on when you watch this show why are you still watching it? Stop juding these woman for living the lives tey love and starting looking at what your doing in your life that makes you tink you have the right to jump on them for how they live theres.

Jill, Because Bethanny does not have a blog can I vent to you. First you 2 are my favorite housewives. The most honest and respectful.I think Kelly needs to watch the show before she makes comments, meaning she's crazy she most certainly she is the one that needs attention at all times, Bethanny went out of her way to try and talk to her at your apartment and she just wouldn't let her speak,(watch the tape Kelly) Bethanny is beautiful and very successful and she should be proud of herself, what I wouldn't give to have her success and beauty, love will follow and happen don't worry about it Bethanny. OMG Kelly get over yourself!!!! Now on another note What the hell is wrong with Simon?????Is he the missing housewife, cause wake up Alex your husband likes guys!!!!!! The conspicuous consumption is a little over the top, on that I agree with a lot of the comments here. I'm sure a little of it has to do with being on a reality show and wanting to exaggerate things a bit, but the $16,000 purse, that is something no one with any conscience should be packing their charity event agenda into.
I love you and Bethanny. You 2 remind me of me and my aunt. I am the single one. Every time I watch you and you come out with catch phrases I stop dead in mt tracks you remind me so much of my aunt. I love the NY Wives being 42 single and currently unemployed in NYC its my guilty pleasure. Love your daughter too she is a good kid you did good. Brad is a total freak love him. Throwing a group of women together is never a good idea since women are generally not nice. Jill, in your case, you are lucky and made a friend, Bethenny, who is a great. Both of you accept each other for whom you are. The other woman each have their issues and are trying to cope. Alex, is trying to find her way into NYC society and raise a family with the burden of Simon. LuAnn is all caught up in the countess thing and truly beleives that she is better than everyone else. Ramona is out of her mind and does not think before she speaks.It she isn't on drugs, she needs to be. Kelly, I have never seen a more phoney person and she shold be ashamed of how she talked to Bethennny. Lucky for Kelly,that she is not very smart, so she doesn't realize what a terrible person she is.
Love the show - can't wait until next season. If you ever need an extra from Long Island , call me.

I love love love the show and will miss it. I certainly hope you are all coming back for another season. Can you tell me if you are? I wouldn't mind getting rid of Kelly! I love Jill, Bethany Luann and once in awhile Ramona (she can get on your nerves). Alex and Simon do add an element of something, can't express what it is but I do think they are strange.

Jill,I love to watch you onthe show I think that you make the show even if you do have money ,you are a great person inside and out.you have a good heart, I adopted my granddaugther 9 years ago , I had her since birth,so she is like my own child.I am disabled and only 56 years old. my life has been very hard, I was a divorced mother of 2.and raised my children on my own.now I am doing it again.even with less money because I cant work now.but when I watch your show i see all of you spendso much money but your aways the one who helps the needie people in the world.all way doing good for others jill your a great person, and you have a great family. If you ever feel the need to help a mother and her child buy clothes or shoes or want to help her get her hair doneor just go to the mall like other little girls and shop with her mom which we have never done, because I am just luckey to pay the bills each month,and put food on the table.feel free to send some love our way. we love u. shirley

Jill, i loved the "b" bag episode! Also loved the way you handled the crew from England when they interviewed you in your apartment! Loved the question about whether you felt guilty about having money in this economy. You didn't miss a beat, good for you. The bag from bergdorf was georgous! I love the show and you are definitely my fav!

I just watched the reunion show and once of your last comments was that you mother would be ashamed of all of you for the way you all were acting on the reunion show. There was a lot of bickering on this show, but you held your own and you tried to keep the peace. Actually, I think your mom would be very proud of you!!!

You broke the mold and gave hope to those of us who are larger busted and curvier where designers are concerned. Now it seems you have caved under public pressure to decrease your size via surgery for fashion sake.

Jill - I love watching you, Bethenny, and Gloria. You guys are defintely my favorites. The way you laugh even when people are getting ridiculous is refreshing. I am an avid watcher of your show and personally love it! I will say that for being friends you do argue quite a bit, I have very few friends but I treasure the one's that I have and try never to argue because not everything is a battle somethings can be looked over. I notice that the bickering is mostly over small things that could easily be resolved (expect for the bethanney & kelly thing, kelly is very much in her own world) I admire that your all very successful women in your own right, it appears that your in the forefront of your business and would love to know how to make something in this economy that we're in. Advise would be great! And Bethanney always remember that you are amazing that your time will come and it will be wonderful, you will have an amazing life with an amazing man..

I am a huge fan! You come across as someone who is honest, direct, and kind-hearted. Unlike others, I don't care how much money you have or on what you spend it! It's all relative and it surely doesn't speak as loudly about you as the amount of time, energy, and effort you put into your charity work. Thank you for remaining true to who you obviously are.
Hello Jill! I was just wondering if you had ever been to Shelter Island??? I know that you summer in the Hamptons, and we are not far from there. Hi Jill..I just read your recent blog about how Kelly's donations never materalized, I was shocked (or maybe not so much, I mean it is Kelly after all) what is up with her. I mean this was for a very important Charity Event for you and Ally, how disrespectful of her, I don't get it. Was she trying to make up for her rudness at the charity meeting saying "she does not lend her name to anything" how full of yourself can you get. I was all for the comment that Bethenny made about the Madonna thing, she was right on. I feel so bad for the people who bid on those items, and that you had to return the funds for the photo shoot with Giles Benisome, those funds were for Creeky Joints a very important cause. I'm a huge fan of yours and Bethenny's, you do so much for charity (LuAnn as well).

This last season has alot more spice in it than the previous season. You are such an earthy person and people seem to gravitate to you as I have as a viewer. In fact my husband has sat down and watch the antics of the NYC house wifes and can't believe what goes on. But, we can't wait until the next episode airs to see what happens next. I must admit the other housewife series (O.C., Atlanta)don't seem to have the flair that you ladies generate. Thanks so much for the entertainment and for keeping it real.
Jill, I love you guys. Wish they would not bring Kelly back. Yes she adds to the drama because she is spiteful, ditzhead, but I really can't stand watching her. You are all so much fun to watch, GET RID OF KELLY. Find someone else who is deserving of this.

I think you, Bethenny and Luanne are indeed mean-spirited. Your mother was not the only one who is disappointed in your behavior.
There needs to be a Real Housewives in Texas, we are generally kind and supportive of friends and acquainatances....might work for your group.
Also, I have chaired a number of fund-raisers, hopefully none of my committee members witnessed the drama of your event. WE put the cause above personal agendas.
