While I was studying at Columbia University, flying around modeling, writing papers in airports, and studying in hotel rooms, I was fortunate to have a writing Professor named Professor Zielger who encouraged me to start writing about my life: where I went, what I did, and what my impressions were. No filter. Just write. (My sister is my biggest writing fan. She was actually the one who pushed me to write.) From the day I started writing, I quickly realized that being a voyeur is what everyone is intrigued by. In my Socializer column that I wrote for Page Six magazine, I wrote about all the parties, events, and activities I attended. I love hanging out with my kids, watching all sports especially hockey, basketball, and baseball, and going to unusual parties like the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, or Stephen Sprouse's collection at the Deitch Gallery, or going to concerts at Madison Square Garden. I have attended even the car show, because of my love for cars. Whatever piques my interest, I check out.
The irony about me being the Socializer is that although it so sweet to be invited to parties, I can only stay for a short time because I have to take care of the kidlets at home, who always say, "Don't go mommy, stay and watch TV with us." (Ugh, how can I leave with that sweet comment? So, I go and come back "quick quick.") I also have the school of thought that stopping by and hanging out for a bit is better than not going at all, and sometimes I have more than two events to go to, so here we goooooooo.
Socializer ??? How quaint. If arthritis is cute cancer must be hilarious. Oye Vey !!!!
hi kelly
in the episode of the hamptons when you went to a party during the day, you had on a cute black dress and ballet type shoes that had ankle straps, i loved them and cant find anything like them, can you pleeeeeeeeezzzzzzze tell me where i can get them, thank you
Hi Kelly:
I think your love and devotion for your lovely daughters is great. It is so nice to hear you say how much you appreciate them in your life. That's what it's all about.
All the best.
and, by the way, if you went to Columbia...did you graduate? why don't you put to work all those student loans and really do something.....? Bethenny needed a "time out", who's mother are you?
Get over yourself.
At least Bethenny supports charities, realizes she's not perfect and won't let you own her.....
geez, kelly, didn't you know what you were getting into? i don't care if you've modeled, write for some internet rag, can drop names like gravel in your toes....you came off as an arrogant, self-involved, status freak by not showing appropriate appreciation for Jill's charity planning meeting last week....that was just disrespectful of the charity.....if you don't want your name on charities, don't offer your presence.....big to do over you.....if you want to self-absorbed, transfer to the Real Housewives of Orange County....
You are not a socializer hate to break it to you. you like to pretend and act like you know all these people and are such good friends with everyone when in reality they probably dont even know you very well if at all. and you are a good addition because I find myself yelling at the screen because of what you say.
Aloha Kelly! I have to say I'm quite impressed with everything that you've accomplished. I'm also a single mother of 3 daughter's (17, 13 and 5) and can barely keep up with my own bikini company (bikinijane.com). Between all the soccer practices, hula, piano, tennis lessons, homework, etc., I can barely keep up with any of it. How in the world do you find the time to organize it all and not be a crazy person? I live in Hawaii on the island of Kauai which is no where near the glamourous lifestyle that you live in NY. Sometimes I long for those days again. I also lived in Manhattan, although back then I lived in a crappy little apartment on 28th and Broadway and did the whole modeling thing. I loved all the parties and meeting all the "fabulous" people but unfortunately my career was short lived because I became pregnant within 6 months of being married and decided to be a non-working housewife and full-time mother. Do I regret what could have been? Yes, sometimes I do but I ended up on this little island out in the middle of the ocean with a very simple life. However, the island has become somewhat trendy and I've had the opportunity to meet some really great people from ultra famous to your typical local family that has barbecue's in the garage. I'm extremely grateful for the way my life turned out but I find your show so fun to live vicariously through. I have never watched a reality show expect America's Next Top Model but watching you NY ladies I find very entertaining. Keep up the good work! Also, congratulations on your new book. I will definitely purchase it. Mahalo and Aloha! Christie
You are a perfect addition to the show. A true socialite. you can give them all a run for their lives. The countess herself can learn a great deal from you on background and manners.
I speak for myself and other fans of the show, it has become "The real deal now that you are on the scene.
Please teach the others that being charming, discreet, and a good friend is where the
social skills , come in.
Bravo toBravo for finding the BEST of the New York 6. You are it.
BEAUTY BRAINS CHARM AND STYLE = KELLY
I lived a couple of blocks away from Kelly as a kid. I was friends with her sister Tracy. Kelly is really sweet, EXTREMELY funny and all natural beauty. The reason people think she is "boring" is because she is down to earth and sincere. We are very proud of her accomplishments and wish her good luck with the show.
Kelly,
I am so glad you are on the show. You are a great representation of fabulous NY. The others with those horrible accents YIKES and YUCK and the Countess is crazy about that Title of hers. My God she married someone with a bogus title and now she thinks she's royalty. I think she is bannans!! For awhile the show made me ashamed of my beloved NY. You are a breath of fresh air. I want to be you in my next life!!! You truly have a wonderful life and are very blessed. Keep up all the good work!
I have to agree with an earlier post. Although I liked you at first, the comment you made to Bethany was completely inappropriate. To tell someone, "You are here (pointing low) and I am here (pointing high)," shows just how little etiquette you actually have. Quite frankly, I was embarassed for you when I saw that scene. Although one may feel that she is above another, it is NEVER ok to openly discuss the matter or make rude comments. You should be ashamed to be acting in such a manner for a grown woman.
Kelly - Good luck with everything ! Opening yourself up to the world on reality tv looks like a challenging experience ( wow ! some of these comments !). Hope "Kimberly" has a blessing or two coming her way soon. Sounds like she could use it.
You are so DULL!! I was excited about you, because the other housewives on this show, with the exception of Jill, bore me to death. Liven up!!!
I have to say you are lucky you only hurt your leg and were able to get up after that fall. You have no business riding in the Hampton classic and it shows what money can do. Your trainer found you a packer to drag you around that very small course and all you could do was hang on that poor horse's mouth and jump half way up the horse's neck three strides out! You are all hands and no seat. Your trainer is either probably too scared to tell you the truth about your ability as a rider or is making a whole lot of money off of you! You ride like Chris Reeve and he got seriously hurt riding like that-be careful and be honest with yourself.
Kelly, I was so excited to see that there was another equestrian on the Real Housewives. You are so beautiful and glamorous...however, when I saw the Hampton Classic episode I was very disappointed. You were riding such a nice horse that tried to jump for you even though you looked like a rank beginner who clashing your riding aids and not even able to keep your heels down. I don't blame the horse for finally stopping at that fence! Some of us would kill to have the means to show at that level. For the sake of your horses, please learn how to ride soon or take up dressage before you really get hurt. Or just quit posing as an equestrian!
I'm pleased that you included some of your personal and professional accomplishments, like the college you attended and your career of choice. I just took the time to go through all of the oc and new york housewives bios and I am realizing the bios lack personal and professional information. Such as where they were born, schools they attended, and professional accomplishments. Some viewers are interested in why and how the selected women on this reality show came to be part of the show. Personally I feel like if you really have not accomplished anything in life, why the hell am I watching. Sure you go to great parties and you live a nice homes; but their should be more. Please take my comment into consideration as filming may still be occuring for this season or for next season. I'm a bit tired of seeing women partying and cat-fighting on tv. Socializing and cat-fighting occurs to every day normally women all the time. Bravo needs to come with more!
Hi
Warm up. You are way to up tight and no wonder you had a tumultuous relationship. I don't know how anyone can get close to you ...you don't seem like you are real.
kelly not only are you hot but you are ambitious which is even hotter, keep up the good work and i love your style
Kelly is the sweetest of all and finally a real ny it girl social finally
I found you a little awkward on the show. You don't seem warm and friendly. I hope you loosen up a bit.
Kelly,
You look amazing on the show! I wish I was able to see more of you! You are so beautiful!!! You are so much more classy then those other ladies! Keep up the good work! Go you and Bravo! <3
Kelly,
Bravo!!! I love that you came in nand put bethani in her place. Last time she was invited to the Brooklyn town hose of those two wacos on the show, bethani was very mean to the rest of the invitee. She did not spoke to any of them because she believe they were of a lower class.
You showed her that whatever you do in this planet, you will pay for it.
Kelly, Mission accomplished. Now, you do not do that to anyone else Ok. You are a very likable lady and on your path of life you will always meet people with more money or less money than you. for complete happiness, the best is not to compare youself with other. Believe me, we can see the diference.
Hands down Kelly you are the hottest on the show. Sorry to say that however no one comes close to Gretchen as the Hottest of the hot housewives your definitely second though.
I look up to you! You are a wonderful woman and mom. I too am writing 2 books that I hope will make a difference and help people in their lives. I can't speak of it, but, I would love to have the type of lifestyle you have, for both my daughter and I. I am currently a nurse, and exotic dancer, to support my straight "A" Honor Roll daughter, as she Deserves the Best, as she has Earned it, just like you have by being a hard working loving person. Welcome to the "Housewives" I hope it goes easy for you! Angel
Dear Kelly,
Just wanted to express my admiration for you as a savvy, sexy, but most of all, caring Mom. I think the Countess would benefit from your example as a "hands-on" parent and am looking forward to having you share more screen time with the other extraordinary women on your show. You Rock-
Your post was boring and verbose.
You'rr fortunate to have been born pretty as I suspect your looks got you the writing gigs. It certainly wasn't your writing itself. Your post is redundant, cliched, and awkward. Stick to what you do best - report on who's wearing whom - and stray away from anything that involves interpersonal contact with real people (aka anyone who's not a young male model looking for a "leg up") or writing for people who are looking for something a little more put together than Page Six. Bless your heart ... this show might not have been the best career move for you.
You are beautiful and seem to have a million things on your plate, career-wise.. Be careful.. you are starting to come off as a bragger/pretentious socialite, like some of the other cast ladies.. Was hoping that you'd just show us your nice personality/good mom, etc. Looks like we may be in for another woman who thinks she is above the rest/snob getting air time and promoting herself on this show??
Hi Kelly! You are my favorite "Housewife", you are so interesting and full of life; it's a joy to watch you! Cheers to a fun season, especially now with you aboard :) PS--your girls are beautiful and you are beyond gorgeous!!!
You are a great addition to the cast. I do feel the need to correct your use of the term "single mom". It irkes me when divorced women refer to themselves as single moms when their is still a father in the picture who provides financial relief and plays a role in their child's life. A single mom is a widow who is the " single" parent in that child's life and sole financial provider.
OMG!!! I look forward to watching you this season. You seem to be a lovely person and should add to the life of the show. I love Bethanny but it looks like you two don't get along. I hope that's not true. The rest of the NY Housewives are a bit boring. Bethanny is funny. I liked Jill last year but after the first show, I am rethinking that big time.
You are amazing, you have to be to deal with the countess...........lmao.....wow how did you deal with the princess.......she was blue collar, and now she is the.........countess.....wow again......you rock girl is all i have to say...you were my fav orite, and the most down to earth....god bless,,, and keep the faith........kelly
It was about time that Bravo show a real Socialite - and a real social juggler- yes they are terms that go together, when a woman like you has so much on her plate including motherhood as the main part.
I admire the fact that you recognize that your time is limited and that you can only be in places for short periods as your priorities are your girls.
I think you are a fabulous role model for young girls that have to multitask and be involved in multiple activities in order to be competitive enough and be taken seriously.
Looking forward to see you and a more sophisticated vision of NYC and its Social Life - the real one- and while I am sure the release limitations abound I am sure that with you in the cast there will be glimpses of it
Hi Kelley,
I really like you and glad you have joined the show. I have the same shy demeanor at large gatherings where I know nobody, too.
I noticed you running in the first episode and it looks like you work out. What do you do to keep fit?
Good luck on the show and don't sweat the small stuff ;-)
Kelly -
Love the peacock fan you were carrying at one of the Hamptons party. I'm a makeup artist and would love to have one of those when I airbrush , etc. to cool clients down. Can you tell me where to get one? Welcome to the show! I love your look!
You appear to be a refreshing addition to the show. I do not know you from a can of beans, however, from the looks of things, you are open-minded and out-going.
To Kimberly,
I think it is really stupid that you were quick to judge Kelly based on a 2 second preview clip. Have you never watched reality tv before? They always edit to make it look worse than it is. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge someone and say such horrible things when you don't know all the facts.
Dear Kelly,
I think you are a fantastic addition- I hope you put the 'Countess' in her place. But please do spell check and grammar check before you publish your stuff...it does get annoying to see all the mistakes - especially from a 'writer' :)
Dear Kelly,
I originally liked your until I coming on the show until I saw the rude display of your very bad manners. I as well as the rest of the world saw the complete disrespect of others displayed by yourself, who the hell are you to tell anyone "I'm up here and your down here? " What a jack ass, mean gross, display of behavior to Bethany. Get a grip, just because you think you have money, you are allowed to talk to others in such a gross manner, or not even introduce Ramona to someone you are speaking to ? You are a sick woman, check out the truly AVERAGE person your face!!!!!OMG Worn piece of leather, get a real bank account with at least a "B" in it and buy some manners lessons form the other women on the show,it will all come back to you for the disgusting behavior and the way you treat others. We all hope you fall off your pretend horse fantasy again. There is such a thing called "Manners" a way of treating people? Watch Jerry McQuire. You are pathetic.
Hi Kelly,
You have a very interesting and full life, it seems like you have a lot of fun. But we hardly see you on the show--I think you were on for 2 minutes last night. Also, when are you going to interact more with the other women? Hoping to see more of you this season.
Thanks!
Welcome to the show and I must say you look fabulous.
