At the beginning of filming, I was extremely concerned about exposing my children, who are 8 and 10 and at extremely impressionable ages, to the cameras. I was adamant about limiting their exposure. Kids need to be kids and not scrutinized by the public when they are so personally judgmental. I recently filmed a TV show on Plum TV called Behind the Hedges, so I was OK with the actual filming. Except for in Behind the Hedges, I usually interview and I am the executive producer, so I have more control than a reality TV show that involves 5 other strong women. It's easier to interview the sharks than swim with them. Being an observer has always been my forte, but now I am the participant. We'll see how I fare.
When I first met the cast I thought that they were a solid "sorority" — five women, all with something to say. My first impression of Jill was at her charity event, which Luann had invited me to.
I didn't spend a lot of time at Jill's benefit because I had a dinner to go to, but I was actually really impressed with how enthusiastic everyone was, and how Jill handled the fact that the policeman marked her dress. I am extremely shy when I don't know people, so, I didn't have a lot of fun, because I was honestly nervous.
Kelly,
You may have been popular oversees but I don't know anyone who has recognized you or any of your work. You are attractive for your age, but your demeanor takes away from your looks. Your trying to shush people who are trying to communicate with you is very condecending and makes you look like an idiot. The fact that you could not recall your initial arguement with Betheny indicates that you may have a chemical imbalance (whether ingested or hereditary) and you may need help.
you trying to place yourself above others also indicates an insecurity that may also require professional help; your exagerated flirting with guys shows a sense of desperateness that shows you know your "good looks" clock is running out of time and you may end up a lonely used up money leaching shell of a woman.
Betheny is the bigger person of the two of you, at least she tried to reach you in an adult tone and tried to address her grievance in a civil fashion. Your shushing her (and other people) as if she was a child that you had authority over shows that you have a problem with reality. Get out of the picture and return your world of has been dreams. you have had your run at life; focus on your kids and let them have a chance at it.
What a soap opera ! I'd love to know what the 'ladies' are being paid for their acting. Dee
Kelly,
You are a WHINER!!! Please leave the show. I can handle just about everyyone's perosnality and find them to be entertaining, but you are not worth MY
TIME, which just like you is very precious to me no matter what I am doing. I am, which I think you lack, aware of other people's time. Get real. Who wants to wait for you for you to show, editing or not late it late.
Do not commit if you can not make an effort to be respectful of other people's time.
Hi kelly.. I love watching you on the show.. You live your life your way and your not there to hurt anyone intentionaly. Your happy, have good friends and you truely care for your girls. It doesn't get much better, unless you fall in love again!
Kelly, I don't want to sound rude but please, the comment's you make are so last season. Bethenny is such a sweet person and no one is better then anyone and I hope one day you realize that. I know from what I see on the show your more then likely going to blow my comment off but like i said from the start I'm not trying to be rude. I'm like Bethenny A very blunt person and you know what I would have made the same comment about you. I hope one day you realize that everyone you meet makes a difference in your life one way or another. I hope nothing but the best for you and your lived one's. I think your an amazing mother and hope one day you learn how to let people into your life with out being such a snob. Anthony
Thank you for providing me with some fab entertainment. You remind me of that drunk girl back in college, embarrassing herself at a big party. I commend you for subjecting yourself to this embarrassment (& my entertainment) in front on millions of viewers! Whenever I'm down I just switch it on Bravo and watch you destroy your reputation and it makes me feel so much better about myself.
Kelly,
Even comparing you to other women in New York (in addition to your tv reality peers) and every other city in the world you stand out as an ageless, classy, very seemingly happy and real cool lady type. That beauty comes from within. It is that confidence in yourself that other people notice. I am sure with your beauty status that you have never really had to get too close to little jealous types like Bethenny. She is so far below you yet only those who generally rise above such a jealous gossipy type like Bethenny can recognize who you truly are. I think it has just thrown you off course to have to deal with her. She would never run in your circles in a million years. She is sounding like Jill these days (yet Jill is the real Yenta deal!!) I think because she is trying so hard to get famous and become an A lister in New York. She is nothing. Those others women on the show each have a little something neat in their personalities that I think they definetly belong on the show and entertain us. Yet that Bethenny is such a little 7th grader and it is annoying. I know you don't have the aires that the other women have (Bethenny not included)and yes those aires are fun to witness but you have that WOW factor that people want and expect on a show like this. Rise above that idiot Bethenny every time so that she doesn't bring you down.
Having just tuned in this season, while channel surfing, I caught a few of the NY Housewives episodes. Decided to see what it was all about. My first and last impressions have been, ...what a group of shallow people! You in particular, I was the most disappointed with as you started out as shy and nice and then ended up quite the
bitch to Bethany. You two obviously are very jealous of each other, even though both have much to offer the show, instead you take away from the show by your cattiness. You and Bethany actually look like you are the most interesting if you're not being catty about each other. You need to redeem yourself by growing up, appologize to Bethany, ...give the two of yourselves a new start, you two have the most in common with each other.
Kelly,
I saw your daughter was wearing a ladybug headband on the episode 'New York State of Mind'. I was wondering where you got it from, it's so cute and I want to get it for my daughter.
Thanks!
He who reviles his neighbor has no sense, but the intelligent one keeps silent. Just keep that in mind next time you speak with Bethany because you seem like a great person until that one episode. Redeem yourself!
Kelly,
I liked you at first, during the first few episodes in the Hamptons, but then someone how when you went back to NY and different you came out. For some reason you seem more scattered when you are in NY. I was specifically dissapointed in your treatment and reaction to Bethenney during the fundraiser and ensuing dinner the next day. You came off as a bully and very distastful, contradictory, snobby and a miss know-it all. I think you owe Bethenny an apology and you need to come down to earth a few notches honey. There are more tasteful ways to say things and to act and behave and as of the most recent episode you picked all the WRONG ways to do and behave. I hope what we see is wrong and that you are really a nice person but just under stress, etc, etc
Shakespeare summed it up best: "Much Ado About Nothing"
Kelly, I just watched the episode where you said you felt "sorry for Bethenny"... I am no one. I'm a 21 year old student from Orlando, FL. Im no one, and I feel sorry for you. The way you twisted the situation to make yourself seem in the right was lower than low. I only graduated from high school 4 years ago, and i still shook my head in disbelief at the cattiness, and the incredibly immature way in which you handled yourself in that situation.
Kelly
I don't normally participate on these blogs but... after watching this episode I was just floored that when you re-told the story of what happened at the bar with Bethany I thought, " That wasn't even close to what transpired." You amazingly left out your response to Bethany as to the fact that you were late. Then you had to tell the story to Luann and Ramona. What was the purpose? If she meant nothing to you you would have taken the advice you had given Romana earlier. I sit on a few charity boards and I have to say that I would have asked you to leave. You should have told Luann your position clearly before you agreed to go. You clearly came across as someone who could give a rip about a very important cause. Gosh!! Who are you?
Well I guess I got all of this of my chest. lol
Bethany seemed rude to you, but I have to say you come off as the rude one to me...That's why you and Ramona are hitting it off so well, you two are in your own little
world in thinking you are better than everyone else..As
Bethany would say get over yourself....
Kelly, I think you're a beautiful woman, it is sad to me that you would treat Bethenny or anyone in such a rude way. I don't think I could have been as mature and graceful as Bethenny came across. Beauty is skin deep, true beauty comes from within. I hope that Bethenny gets an apoligy from you. However, with or without one Bethenny will be just fine :o)I'm not trying to be hurtful, I've just learned over the years to look in the mirror at myself instead of pointing fingers, and there were times I didn't like what I saw. Hopefully I'm better, but I have to check myself often to see if I'm treating people the way I would want to be treated.
Kelly - I like that you speak your mind regarding the use of your name in fundraising - but please don't feel you should apologize for it; I actually admire that you're willing to help without the recogntion - which for some people is the prerequisite for giving their time (and money). Good for you.
What was that junk to Bethenny about "I'm up here and you're down here"? You may have a lot of money and a famous name, but neither have given you any class. You're rude and snotty.
Kelly - You had SAM, the HOTTEST TOP-CHEF in Top chef history in your home preparing food for you and your girls. I noticed a little chemistry between the two of you. Go for it as long as he is not taken. You can't find a chef sexier that SAM. He is a rockstar!!!!
Yes, you are in a different league. Don't change. It's better to be real then trying to be someone your not, Alex!
Dear Kelly,
What a pleasure to see you join the cast. You are a naturally beautiful, classy, intelligent, and extremely accomplished woman. You are a terrific role model not only for your children but for young women everywhere! Having been in the fashion industry as a consultant/buyer for couture/better dresses years ago, I just love your choice of clothes, which you wear magnificently. At the same time you are not prissy or afraid to get your hair messed up in running or riding your horses. The way you look in your riding "habit" is "simply smashing" The other ladies can't hold a candle to you, and will perceive you as a threat. You are a lady, a free spirit that makes the lights flicker brighter when you walk into the room. I was very imporessed at "all the hats you wear" with interest in helping othes. It was wonderful to hear you express gratitude in having a priveledged lifestyle. As I have learned in life beautiful women evoke anger in other women. Hold your head up high and watch out for "catiness." I look forward to seeing you in future episodes. Also I would love to buy your"bikini book" I hope I will be able to purchase it at Barnes and Nobles. Best of luck and happiness to you in all your endeavors. Sincerely, Eileen Lebegue
Kelly,
Can you please tell us where you got the cross necklace you wore on the first episode to bobby vans? I love it!
Thanks
Kelly, How naturally beautiful you are. Stay strong; you have been thrown in with the sharks who will undoubtedly find you a threat. You seem to be graciously above all of the narcisstic silliness. I can already see it in the eyes of Bethenny, "the Countess," Jill, and Ramona who looks really terrible on my HD set. I don't know where she gets off thinking that she is a major fox. The "major fox" has finally arrived and her name is Kelly.
Kelly,
you are definitely a beautiful woman and a force all your own. But you're jumping 2'6"! let the horse do the work and relax your hands. Your are obviously a capable rider, just really afraid. Relax, have fun.
KKB,
What a breath of fresh air you are to the usual silliness of reality t.v.! I was impressed by your honesty and gratitude on the first show (loved that you said you are grateful for the privileged life you lead!).
Keep your head up high and stand by your values! Those women are a tough lot.
Welcome,
You seem to be in a different league from the other ladies. They seem to be very high schoolish. They will be jealous of you. I'm sure you know that by now.I like you.You are a natural beauty unlike Ramona that thinks she looks really great but always looks like she has a rash or sunburn on her cheeks.
Susan
You are me....I love that your are athletic..yet beautiful....i will meet you there soon...
"Fair" should be "fare". I'm just saying.
Hi,
Welcome to the neighborhood! As shown, your storyline seemed rather frivolous. Basically, you modeled for an old man photographer who married you, gave you his famous last name, then you dumped him to get his alimony and find hot younger guys and party, party, party... Is that about it - in a nutshell?
Kelly
I'm looking forward to seeing you in the show this season! I could tell from your body language at Jill's benefit that you were nervous/shy because it reminded me of how I react in the exact same situations.
