Though it may seem like my social calendar is overflowing, first and foremost I'm a mother and a homemaker. I have a daughter, 12, and a son, 9, who keep me hopping, and a husband who travels a great deal on business. After keeping up with them, I make time for myself and my interests, which includes as much fun as I can pack in.
The whole of New York is my oyster. I love its diversity, its artists, its rapid-fire business, its cosmopolitan feel, its fashion and its tastes. I love standing on a corner waiting to cross and hearing three and four languages at once. We moved from Switzerland to New York some years ago for family reasons. I love Manhattan, but if we need to move on, I'll be ready. Rome was my first love in Europe -- hard to beat that city!
Otherwise, I'm just looking forward to snuggling in with the kids and Roseanne for tonight's premiere.
Until next week.... -LuAnn
Dear LuAnn,
I just think you are wonderful Homemaker. God bless you for representing women who do put their family first. You are so classy and I can't wait to read your book.
Dear LuAnn,
While I commend you on being a great mother, I have problems with the etiquette thing. In the episode where your daughter comes home from borading school - she's sitting in the kitchen while you are making coffee - please count the amount of times she says "like" while she is speaking. I stopped at 15 and that wasn't even 1 minute's worth of air time. PLEASE get after her and all the other kids of her generation to speak correctly and get rid of the "like" affectation. It's completely tired and boring. Thanks.
"This is the result of the devoted enthusiasm, the intelligence and the noblest sentiments which can inspire man. It is great in its conception, great in its execution, great in its proportions; let us hope that it will add, by its moral value, to the memories and sympathies that it is intended to perpetuate. We now transfer to you, Mr. Minister, this great statue and trust that it may forever stand the pledge of friendship between France and the Great Republic of the United States." - Thank you dear de Lesseps family for your history.
Ive been watching the show since it started..LuAnn, you are one very classy lady...and your husband is the most gracious man on the show...I see you putting your children first, and I cammend you for that... It seems like one could almost lose oneself in N.Y. and you not only hold onto your class...you cammand respect.
Its awesome..
Dear LuAnn:
I've just started watching the show recently and I think your husband is a very lucky man, because not only are you the hottest housewife on the show to me, you are a very good mother. I saw the episode where your husband missed your daughter's horseback ride and I felt bad for you because I know what it's like when someone misses something that's important to you.
