Victoria comes home most weekends, but it was the first time she was home after going away to school, so it was great. She has adjusted beautifully and has made great friends. It was so nice having her all to myself for the day. We really enjoyed ourselves!
Victoria is a lot like me. She is very respectful of me as a parent, just as I was with my mother. I'm very lucky. She is easy-going and fun to be around. She has a gift of making people feel comfortable.
We didn't really know anyone at Kelly's Halloween party. It was a strange group of people that none of us had ever seen before. We had many great parties to attend, but we went to Kelly's party to be there for her and she wasn't there. I couldn't believe that she would host a party and not be there to greet her guests! She never apologized to me personally.
It's amazing and so exciting to see my book on bookshelves! If someone told me 20 years ago that I would have a top selling book I would have said, "You're kidding." I've always wanted to write about my experiences as a young girl growing up in CT and moving to NY to model and making a life for myself in Europe. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to share my life experiences.
To me honest, I don't think Luann is all that polished. I just read that she is something like 42 years of age...shocking, she acts and speaks more like she is in her 70' or 80's. No disrespect. Just a boring existance. Wonderful invites to fab parties - but she acts like she doesn't even know her true self and I am still seeing if she has any "real" friends/relationships in her life. I find her a turn off and find her book amusing. Luann seems lost to me. Rich but lost. Sad....
LuAnn- I have to say that you are growing on me. I was not a fan at the beginning with the way that you would push the Countess thing on everyone. I never know if it's the editing or you're really like that, I'm sure it's a bit of both. I thought that the embrace that you and Victoria shared said a lot about you as a mother. You are showing more and more that you only want the best for both of your children even if that means sacrificing time with them. Please accept my deep compassion for what you are going through in your life now as I know it is a difficult situation for you and the children. I know you are a strong individual with a bright future. Just know that god never gives you more than you can handle, an be there for your children as much as possible.
Good Luck to you!
LuAnn, I hope you see who your true friends are and finally see Kelly as the shallow person she seems to be. I know you never say an unkind thing about the other castmates... and its good to see that you have the mother daughter relationship as Jill does. More parents need to have that. God bless! ~ Mary Kellerman
I was very offended by your choice of costume for Kelly's party. I am a Proud Native American Woman and don't have the luxury of pulling on a 'costume' whenever I want, I wear mine day to day. You have made some very disrespectful statements in the past, especially when you told the little girl that she would have to lose weight...what were you thinking?! You were supposed to be helpful and encouraging, instead you showed your limit of taste by opening your mouth and inserting your foot. Please quit saying that you're a Native American...as a federally recognized tribal member I find it very offensive!
It is so refreshing to see someone on a reality show who has manners and class. You are a beautiful person and I wish you all the best in your personal life and professional life. Your daughter is wonderful, it was great to watch your shopping day, how fun!! My teenage daughter and I also have quality time together shopping and we love it. Stick with Jill and Bethenny, they are the best too.
when you were on the lounge chairs with Victoria talking about boarding school-- you came across as real and loving mother
but every other interaction with her has looked really contrived on your part
and a mother and daughter should never have an interaction that looks contrived no matter how many squabbles or issues.
I'd love to come see you on 60th street tomorrow, but the link for tickets you posted doesn't work!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed it can be fixed before 7 p.m. tomorrow! :)
Looking forward to your book signing, I hope it stops raining by tomorrow night!
Kelly will never apologize to you because she is embarrassed for what she did to her friends. As well she should be. I know you never say anything bad about anybody on your blog so I won't either. I'm glad Victoria is doing well in school.
I really enjoyed the clips with you and your daughter. It was so cute hearing her recount the Goodwill story. Looks like you are doing a wonderful job as a mom. Hope you are keeping your spirits high.
Countess keep up the clasy way you are. I love you can say you are sorry to a friend when her feeling were hurt. That's the true character of class. I loved you with your daughter this week. I sorry to her about your divorce, please handle that with the grace and class you have shown all season. I love you honesty, keep your head high and good things will come your way.
I think you are absolutely fabulous!!! The relationship you have with your daughter is great! She seems to be growing into a wonderful young woman.
Why did you not bring Aston to the Halloween Dog Party? He would have been the most dashing dog!
Another Westie Owner
I still think Luann is one classy lady and what Mario wrote about her on his blog was just disgusting! I think your great Luann and will always look at you as the classy countess!!
Hello, Countess! You've been my favorite since first viewing the NYC Housewives. Being born & raised in the South, I have deep appreciation for your class & etiquette; it's so hard to find these days. One major thing that has struck out through all these episodes is this: You cannot buy class. No matter what you strive to financially... if you're not stopping & paying attention to courteous, respectable, & adult behavior- you're nothing more than 'the oblivious with a seemingly-full wallet'! I hope I don't come across as too sharp. I'm 33 years old & realized this very early on as I ventured into adulthood. People like you need to fuel this nearly lost way.
Thanks for showing your grace via television & please, visit us in the deep South!! :)
I was hurt to see u dress as a Native American woman at a costume party...Did u ever think the Tribe where u came from may find that a little lack of etiquette......Hmmmmm
US Magazine stated that you and your husband are getting a divorce. Is there any truth to that??...if so, it's unfortunate to hear.
LuAnn, Victoria is a very beautiful composed young woman--it's apparent that she was raised properly. Somehow, I don't think that she would invite people to a party and not show up, then not even apologize to her guests (and I'm talking about her at her current age, not when she becomes 40-something and should definitely know better). Best of luck with your book.
It was a strange group of people? Really, is that what a person with class would utter? Who do you think you are? Is that how you make people around you feel comfortable, what a complete snob.
Yeah, Kelly was late but you witches were stirring the brew. Gosh, what a bunch of snotty, back biting women you are. I was so sick of hearing you so called ladies complain and act so important.
Why did any of you complain about buying a drink for a charity, who do you think you are?
Congratulations on the book!
and it has become more than apparent that Kelly isn't a victim of editing. There is no excuse for her consistent tardiness...
I have already received my copy of your book in the mail. Great job....you truly are a classy woman and you look fabulous. You just seem so comfortable in your own skin and with anyone.
How classy is it to write one paragraph on the shows events and an entire page devoted to self promotion?
you make a living, go girl but you have to give us a little too!!
Countess - I just love you! Your daughter is a beautiful young woman and you should be very proud of her. When are coming to OHIO for a book signing?!
Your time with Victoria reminds me so much of the times my daughter comes home from college. We do the pedicure, manicure, haircuts, eyebrow waxing, shopping - like I am polishing her up to send her back out there. So funny, why do we do that? Probably because, like you and Victoria, it's great to have that girl time together. Kudos to you, LuAnne. Victoria is lovely inside and out.
Does your book tour include a stop in Washington DC? I hope so, my daughter and I adore you and would love to meet you.
LuAnn, You are really a classy person. Kelly could use a few lessons or should I say alot of lessons from you.
Hi LuAnn, I would love to see you come down South for your book tour. We would love to have you come for a visit. You are one classy lady and your children seem delightful. Love to watch you on the show.
LuAnn, I just wanted to let you know that I think you are great! I can't wait to read your book - and I plan on making it required reading for my pre-teen daughter as well. Congratulations on your success! And just between us girls, living well is the best revenge. ;-)
LuAnn, like I said last week. You are one hell of a woman and appear to have your family (your kids) up there on your priority list. God bless you and keep your head up.
I cannot believe people are actually buying your book. The crap you pulled with Bethany and the arguing over petty stuff while supposedly helping cancer patients, show you have no class whatsoever.
It will be interesting to see how many books you sell after your husband dumps you.
LuAnn, I'm so happy for your success on your book and your kid's are so lucky to have you as a Mom. I'm a Mom also and I know how it is to have closeness with your kid's. You are my favorite housewife on the show you don't let petty jelousy get in your way, you go for what you want. I know that you mentioned on one episode that you were a taurus. I'm also a taurus and when we set our minds on something positive and help others we do it. Goodluck on all your endevers.
Victoria is such a beautiful girl! She seems to have her head together much more than a lot of girls her age. Looks like you all had a fun day together--those are precious times that will mean a lot to her as she gets older! Please also tell Rosie that she looks fabulous. Three lovely ladies in your household :)
I loved seeing the bond you have with Victoria. It reminds me of mine with my two daughters. Victoria is lovely and poised. Luanne, I'm not exagerating when I say you are far more beautiful than Kelly. Really. I've become a fan of you because you do have class and are a nice person.
Please expand your book tour to the West Coast. I know so many people who would love to meet you in LA at a signing.
I loved the scene when Victoria came home and you rushed to hug her. It reminded me of when I went away to college and came home for the first time. I remember saying how much I missed everything, my Mom, Dad and the home cooking.
Your daughter is lovely and you are doing a great job as a Mom.
I'm sorry you are going through such personal difficulties right now. I'm sure you will handle all of this with the same courage, grace and class that you've displayed on these past two seasons on your reality show.
One more thing, about Mario, he's no prize at all and Ramona has nothing and I mean nothing to brag about in the husband department. Sorry for that catty remark, but it had to bee said.
God bless you,
You are raising a lovely daughter.
She was so excited to tell you about her Goodwill finds, and that was a great opportunity for you and her to clean out your closets and do some charity.
I wish you hadn't felt obligated to take her shopping to the expensive stores, and especially the 80 dollar necklace from a street vendor.
I feel like you may have trounced on her newfound thriftiness by doing that splurge.
Hi, my daughter who is also named Victoria is in college and when she comes home we are the same way as you are with your Victoria. It brought tears to my eyes to see what a respectful young lady you are raising. Congratulations!
LuAnn, Your daughter is truly delightful. You have raised a good kid in a bad world. Congrats!
PS Did you catch Elliot Spitzer and his wife in one of the sidewalk scenes, just before Victoria got home?
I've checked every list I can find, and can not find your book listed anyway as one of 100 top sellers. Can you tell me why you insist that it is a top seller? Did someone check your grammar while "writing" the book? You might want to hire someone to check grammar while you are speaking on TV.........Oh, I did find Bethany's book listed among the top 100 at NY Times' Best sellers.
As many other viewers, my favorite scene with you was when your daughter came home. I loved that when she did tell you about Goodwill, you didn't automatically shun or laugh at her for going. You even wanted to see what she got for a whole $9-! Sure you didn't encourage her to clean out her closets, but the fact that you were excited about her finds and supportive-that's all that matters. Stay strong!
