First things first: the lice. Any detailed horror tales about the ordeal?
My kids have never had lice. I had no idea how difficult it was to get rid of. The over the counter products didn't work. Thank God for Jill and her advice about Lice Enders -- I call them Lice Busters. I still have the scar on my chest from the lamp I used when trying to pick them out of their hair. So happy my husband wasn't there for the ordeal.
Is your neice Nicole the same Nicole that is on Bravo show called "Work Of Art"????
OK-Hello first off! This is just a curiosity question re: this episode and the new series on BRAVO-Work of Art: The next Great Artist. Your niece, Nicole, looks exactly like the Nicole on Work of Art. Is she one and the same? She is very talented. Just had to ask and BRAVO to you on moving on with your life. You are stunning! Ciao!

Hi LuAnn, love you on the show. My grandson had lice a few times, and thankfully for us the otc stuff worked. But I totally freaked out. I later learned that it is pretty common in schools now days, especially elementary schools. I remember that one of the old fashioned remedies was to just shave the head. OMG would my grandson freak out if I suggested that! LOL. Take care and strong everything will work out fine.
I have two daughters who got lice from someone at school at the end of the school year. They had lice all summer and have yet to get rid of it. I have tried rid, nix, and several over the counter products and they always come back. I have combed my girls for a month every night and have yet to find a answer on how to get rid of them. I was told by my doctor its a reinfestation. Why won't these things go away? I have tried the mayo, vinegar, and tea tree oil. I have a feeling its not going to work. I am so frustrated with this I even took my children to the hospital to find not everyone is simpathetic to our situation. I am going crazy and don't know what to do with it. PLEASE HELP MY FAMILY
Thanks for reminding your viewers that head lice happens to all of us. When my granddaughters had lice we took them to a local nonprofit that only treats head lice. Unfortunately this type of service is not available everywhere. I was so impressed with the care they provided that I now volunteer there. I wanted to share with you their new book- Lice Advice. They see hundreds of cases each week and are actively involved in clinical research. The director Ms. Shepherd is recognized among the top 100 lice experts in the world. Now she shares knowledge gained over the past 11+ years in an easy to read new book, that offers 154 pages of fact filled information and color photos throughout showing parents step by step the tricks of the trade needed to reach a successful end to their head lice problem. That way all parents can get the help they need even if there is not an agency in their area. I hope you will take the time to check out the books web site at www.liceadvicebook.com and I hope you will share this information with your viewers as well.
I love you LuAnn ! I'll be receiving your new book as a birthday gift in April. What a beautiful family you have. Blessed be.
