Life Is Meant To Be Fun

I love living in New York and all that is has to offer. I grew up in the country, which makes living in the suburbs seem like the city. I had squirrels and deer in my backyard and apple orchards across the way. There were cattle farms everywhere; it does not get more rural than that. I came to New York first to develop my career, and then to find the man to spend the rest of my life with and have a child. I have to say I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful husband who understands me and allows me to be me. My daughter is beyond special and is wise beyond her years.

My mother taught me not only to be financially independent but also a great hostess and homemaker. I enjoy nothing more than having a get together with Avery and three to six of her friends whether it's for a Halloween, slumber or tea party.

Some of my most special memories with my Mom are of when we would cook together. Avery and I bake together, from scratch, homemade brownies, cakes and cookies. Our latest endeavor is to make homemade gnocchi, as it is Avery's favorite. I'll let you know how it goes. In the first episode you see me entertaining poolside in the Hamptons. We enjoy nothing more than having three to six couples over for lunch or dinner. When they bring their children it makes it even more special. After lunch we typically play Bocce and lounge by the pool. That particular day my girlfriend was teasing me about the way I dance -- accusations which were not true! I'm a very sensitive person, so I got upset with her comments and tried to push her in the pool. She in turn got back at me by throwing me in the pool. It was a lot of laughs!

But I am not just about play. I enjoy having my own business, RMS Fashions, as it gives me great flexibility with my family.
