- Is the Countess the authority on etiquette? Ramona's not so sure.
Eventually I would like to write a book. I have gotten numerous emails with questions from so many people on how to start and be successful in business. Also people have wanted to know how I stay in shape, especially after the surf scene when Jill commented on how nothing was going south. Also I'm asked how I keep my skin so youthful looking. Having great skin means skin care products, which I have now developed. I am working on distribution, but until then it is available through Tru Renewal at www.ramonasinger.com
I think LuAnn likes to think she is an etiquette expert. But in this recent episode, she was chewing, or should I say chomping food and talking at the same time. Does everyone remember that at the Hampton Classic she was telling her daughter and other young ladies that her pet peeve was watching the way Victoria chews her food?! What about at the charity event in the Hamptons when she got up and made a fuss for everyone to be quiet, yet she sat back down and kept talking!
I am really not a big shopper and I was very upset that they stated retail prices on the screen. I have worked very hard for everything I have and I have never flaunted it or bragged about material things. I never take for granted anything I have, as I grew up very simple. What is most important to me is my family, friends, and health. When Avery put on those high boots and was taller than me, I choked up. Yes I know my Avery will fly from the roost, but it seems as if it is going way too fast for me. As I am writing this my eyes are welling up with tears. I love her so much and wish time could be frozen, or at the very least go slower. I am going to have a very, very difficult time when she goes to college.
For those of you wondering, my daughter and I were shopping at Steven Dann. It's a fabulous shoe store with amazing selection and service. Please go to www.stevendann.com to see their fantastic collection of shoes and bags.

Ramona I like your tell it like it is style. At least you are not a phony like the countess. And yes you should be proud of your accomplishments. Continue to be you. It is the honesty thst is making the show successful.

Ramona...
No, the 'Countess' is NOT the authority on etiquette and neither are you! Etiquette is something one learns from childhood and is raised with every day... it is NOT something that one 'marries' into because she is married to a Count.
Your 'wide-eyed baby browns' are wide for a reason... now open them wider and then shut your mouth. You might learn a whole lot more about etiquette and life... and how to treat those you call friends.
And furthermore, if you're putting yourself out there as an authority on etiquette... don't go around calling your friend(s) an "under-dog". Bethenney is anything But an under-dog. She's got more class in her whole body than either you or the 'Countess' put together.
You both could/should take lessons from Bethenney!

Is Luanne really Native American? Sure don't look like both of here parents are full blooded. & if she is does she have a chairty for them? If not thats a shame. To boast like that & not help your own people.

I think the countess has the nicest demenor of all the actors in the show and the others are not so nice. They go around picking fights and saying mean things. I also think the Van Campens are very nice. Simmon is right Romona was kissing a former playmate at her pool in the Hamptons on live tv. So what is the big deal?

My dear Ramona, you are an exceptionally unpleasant person. I don't think I have ever seen anyone as rude and confrontational as you are. It's like watching an attack dog that doesn't know it is misbehaving. Stop it...please stop it. I can't imagine what you thing you are accomplishing by insulting people at every turn.

Ramona,
Major improvement of who you are as a person is being revealed this season vs. last season. My friends and I had thought the Count was in the 65 to 70 yr. old range and the Countless (oops meant Countess) was in her early 50's. To witness the reaction of LuAnn was priceless. She has become an embarrassment to any person who knows the true meaning of etiquette. I would read her book for entertainment purposes only and will not buy it but see if my library has it in stock. As far as Simexlaxative....call them out whenever you see fit and make sure you have a protective invisible shield to deflect their insane energy that surrounds them. Be careful of your mouth which can be hard, believe me I know, but stay true to yourself. Not everything done or said by you can be condoned but i've never met a "perfect" person. We all have some faults. Enjoying the show...except for Kelly - I know you seem to like her but she really is a bore.

Ramona;
Just wanted to say that I LOVE, LOVE YOU! I think you are so forthright and honest, and I love that about you, no BS with you and that is what most people like. Please do not pretend to be something you are not, and that is not you. I also love Bethany and Jill, they have honesty in common with you, Im not sure if they realize that, but if they watch the showing of your show, they will see that. Im not sure about Simon and Alex, their all about trying to keep-up with the Joneses, but their trying so hard to be someone their not, so sad. I think your a wonderful loving mother to Avery, and Im sure you will always have that close loving relationship with her, as a mother I know the feeling you were talking about when you wish you could freeze time, I have felt that way so many times. Good luck and God Bless you and your family.

As a successful woman you need to use the Engish language more succesfully. You constantly say "Her and " instead of " she and " and it makes you less effective and seem less smart to those who know better.

i find you to be one of the better houswives. I dont always agree with what you say, but the one thing i must agree with is your feelings to Alex and Simon. they are odd, and they most definetley shouldn't wrote a book. they'll probably only sell one copy, and that one will be the one i buy, but ill just buy to draw all over it. please advise them to not write a book and get them to stop.

I have to say last year I wasn't for sure if I like you, but you are my favorite this year. You seem like a genuine person. I like the fact that you call it like it is. Everyone knows LuAnn's husband looks older. I don't know why she made such a big deal out of it. I have thought that many times. I got the feeling you bought the shoes because as they say- when the shoe fits....so yes, who cares what it costs since you work very hard and do a great job. I noticed too since I have daughters how fast they grow. Avery was such a wonderful young girl last season and now she is coming into her own as a young woman and yes you have every right to be so proud of her. You and your very handsome (and young looking) husband have done a great job and I would not want to ship her off to school either!

It has been a delight to watch your contribution to this season's show, and many of your messages (about making people feel comfortable, and so it goes, are refreshing to hear amid the sometimes cruel banter which these women flail around so lucidly to one another). Hi Ramona, Last year you were my least favorite, but this year you are growing on me. What started the change was when you confronted the COUNTESS about sending her daughter away to boarding school. I LOVE that you want to be with you daughter & that you'd miss her every single day. I don't think Luann is doing it because it's the right thing to do, I think she's doing it because she's stuck up & that's what the elitists do! She's so different this season, all the publicity has obviously gone to her head. She thinks she's really "special" and honestly, she's not all that.
I hope you will keep close with your family. Right on!

Did I miss something?
I don't understand why Luanne would get upset that Ramona said her husband was older. Isn't he older? And why such a big deal about saying it "in front of my daughter?"
Does her daughter not realize her dad is older than her mom?
I know a lot of couples where one person is quite a few years older than the other, and it isn't a big deal at all.
I don't get it; maybe someone can explain to me why it was so wrong to say that in front of the daughter.

Ramona is my favorite, she seems to be the most genuine of all. I believe Jill and Luanne have a lot of issues there is something fake about them, and Behanny is a nutcase who turns me off when she speaks. I am no sure of Alexis.

Ramona, I have to admit that I did not like you much last season but I am loving you this season. We're finally getting to see something the cameras did not capture last year...the kinder, gentler side to Ramona. I wish the same could be said for Luanne. Last season I thought she was a class act but regretfully I have changed my mind. Just ignore her and stick with the positivity in your life.

ROMONA......YOU ARE AWESOME. I love direct, straight to the point people. You, Jill and Bethany keep it so real. I wish someone would tell "The Countess" this is 2009, the slaves have been freed and all the attitude is not "tasteful or becoming of her" her poor daughter and friends looked like they could DIE while at the luncheon, YUK. It would have been a great luncheon for the retired.
DIRECT AND SWEET...you are a JEWEL. HUGS!!!

Ramona, I like you on the show! Your comments are always real, no fake stuff! I believe Luanne reacted so emotionally to your comment relating to her husbands age difference with hers, because it struck a cord! She too probably feels he looks much older than her and is embaressed about it! I was very impressed that you handled her wild comments with just apoligies. Luanne's hissy fit in front of her daughter was in poor taste. I too don't care for the Vancampens(Simon and Alex). There does seem to be something very fake about them. No matter how much they may say they are not social climbers, it seems to be the only thing they talk about.

You are my favorite. I love the fact that you are real and stay who you are. I tell it like it is also. Alex and Simon are creepy... I love Jill also. The Countess needs to get a clue and come back down to the REAL EARTH. Continued good health and love.

Ramona, gotta love ya! You speak what you think, you are not a fake person, you tell it as you see it, however, there is a time and place for some.... I too, however, would have spoke up with ol' Simon on "girls" night along with he and Alex acting as if they are inseparable. I have been married 17 years, we own our business as well, but when we need "our" time, we need our time. I believe that is why God made us differently..... I love being with my husband, but I love being with my girlfriends when able as well and would not want a man spoiling it, I too have had that experience, I did not handle it as you did, I just went with the evening and knew better than to attend another outing with the one woman only due to the fact that her husband HAD to be there. I loved you and Avery along with her friends spending time with one another. It does show that you and she have a loving relationship and believe me, it will be your lifelong achievement! I feel for children of wealth where they are raised by a stranger of the family, they tend to abandon the families and live their own separate lives and you can be one to say you and Mario will be a big part of her life! Congrats!! I do agree with Avery just a tad though, I know we all want to stay youthful but we do have to think of our childrens perceptions as well. NO, no sweats, but just tone down a bit when around her friends. She will appreciate it, especially around boys in the event, she decides not to be such a dressy person. The world does take many to revolve.... but again, Kudos!!

Ramona,
While LuAnn may not be the penultimate authority on etiquette, she does know better than to insult someone's husband to their face. Regardless of whehter her husband is twice her age or not, what you said is rude! What if she had said your husband looks GAY, and then follow with, "Oh, I call it like I see it"! You would be furious!
Think BEFORE you speak!!!!!!!!!! Maybe if you didn't speak so fast, you might be able to watch what you say.

Ramona,
Love the fact that you tell it like it is! Please stop apologizing for that.
As for LuAnn, you are so right. She is no authority on etiquette. And, her husband does look TWICE as old as she is.

Ramona,
You have heard the expression "Out of the mouth of babes". You have no clue how to speak to people. Do you ever think before you open your mouth. I think not. 80% of the time you should keep your mouth shut, the other 20% give people a laugh (at you).
Seriously, it is nice to speak ones mind but your mind is too stupid.

I think Bravo has a heart and only wants to print the nice emails to you... You are SOOOOO friggin' irritating to watch. You may have Tourette's syndrome or something b/c you seriously can't control what comes out of your mouth. I would never send my child to boarding school, but that is a personal decision, one that you have no business judging. Luann wasn't arguing that YOU should send Avery to boarding school, and yet you reacted like she was questioning your choices. That's like arguing about what kind of religious education you give your child. It's not anyone's business except you and your family's. THINK RAMONA!! Watching you is worse than nails on a chalkboard. It's really maddening to watch you. How blessed you are to have such a loving family and patient friends. Your daughter btw is elegant, intelligent and lovely, so good job with that.

I love your jewelry, but I wanted to know if you would be making other religious pieces like Jewish Stars? Also, would you be making non-demoninational pieces? I think we should all appreciate what we have. I am very fortunate and we live a great life where we can travel, but not everything is extravagent. You should hang on to your children as long as you can. I have four and my older two are at law school and undergrad right now. Once they leave for college, it is never the same again. It's good but different. Keep up the great work.

Ramona, Ramona, Ramona;
Where to start? I must say you are a confident woman...and you would have to be to be so judemental towards other people. When The Countess Luann (I don't want her to correct me) said her daughter was going to boarding school...ok you would never let your daughter go. But to ask if there is somehting lacking at the house?? Wow you have some hervos. As for you having class and making people feel welcome...let's see...season 1 you grilled Simon forever for being at a dinner. So far season 2 you've said Simon and Alex make your skin crawl and you'll do nothing with them..So having CLASS means making only the people you like feel comfortable? I think it's the other way around...making someone you don't like feel comfortable.

With the tax bills you pay, the majority ought to be kissing your shoes.I can understand why you don't like Alex and Simon, we are finally seeing their real life style and it's not what they have tried so hard to portray.

Hey Ramona ~ The scene with you and your beautiful daughter in the store clearly showed how much you love her. When she was trying on the shoes.. the way you looked at her.. I mean, so many motherly emotions were showing through your eyes and on your face. She is definitely a good hearted, sweet, well-behaved girl.
Despite all the drama on the show ~ one thing that I have seen on both seasons with you is that you adore your girl. Real love like that needs no words. I just wanted to share with you that I can see it.

Ramona, You are one of my favorites to watch. Dont listen to what any of these negative people have to say about you. Its not your fault you dont want to pretend that you like anyone. I hate that, and refuse to do it. Least you speak your own mind, have your own personality, and know who and what you want out of life. I completely understand why you have your tiffs with the Vankemps. That co dependent nonsense makes me sick. :) lol Stay true to yourself. you are a beautiful person.

couple things about your daughter Avery: 1) love her name! 2) she's absolutely beautiful and definately gets yours and Marios good looks and 3) she seems like a very pleasant, smart, well-adjusted girl. These are direct testaments to your hard work in raising her. If I had a kid like Avery I wouldn't want her to go off to boarding school either! You're a rock-star of a mom and kudos to you for that!

Ramona-You blame everyone else except yourself..when you made a commment about LouAnn's husband age, it was her fault and you did nothing wrong..what would have happened if a comment like that was made in front of your daugher.you would have gone off the deep end..the siutation with Simon and Alex is just rude, you are so rude to them and think it is funny. I feel sorry for you, you must be jealous of them about something, i think it is their friendship and marriage..i fast forward everyime you are on because it is sad.

Ramona, the only explanation that I have for your cruelty to others specially to Simon and Alex is that you are not mentally well. You talk about everybody. You don't have a real friend. All you are looking forward is to benefit from the show. Your daughter has real class and kindness. I am sorry for you.

Ramona, I have been reading the blogs and watching the show religiously :). I just wanted to say that I find YOU the most likable person and I believe you really try to be friends with the others and I can see your point on "certain" behaviors of others that tend to be so "uppity". Bravo to you as a mom, wife and business woman. I just ordered a St. Christopher medal for my son Christopher and a cross for myself. I just can't wait to get them. Good luck to you, you a tremedous asset to the show. Love & Peace.

You and Bethany are my favorites on Real Housewives. I have to say that it was very hypocritical of Luanne to get upset about the comment that you made about her husband's age because for one it's true he's much older than her, and Luanne is always making very condescending remarks about the other ladies (ie. Bethany and the retouch comment). I also have to agree that Luanne might not be the best person to give etiquette advice, since she can't keep her rude comments to herself.

Ramona,
You have every right to buy whatever you want. It is not your responsibility to give your hard earned money away. I am sure you give to charity but that doesn't mean you need to give all your money away or not enjoy what your have. Also, I think you are a great mom too.

Ramona,
Would you please, please, please stop bashing Alex & Simon? It is just simply rude. We know how you feel about them because you make a comment on every episode. The funny thing is that we never hear Alex or Simon bashing you.

Ramona,
Your new skin care products sound wonderful and I believe that you know what you're talking about -- Your skin is beautiful. My friends and I are skin care junkies -- always in the market for natural products that work. But TruRenewal is priced pretty far out of our league. Any chance you'll be selling special kits like Jennifer Flavin does with her Serious Skin Care lines? Somehow she is able to price her products so that most of us can afford them.

My husband and I own several businesses and make a good living - I also come from a simple background and have worked hard to get where I am. Why should you feel quilty??? There will always be haves and have-nots in this world. Sometimes the Have-nots should look at their life chooses and realize that they themselves might be why that are not more successful."Money does NOT equal success, Simone! Just because someone is not making 500K per year does not make them any less successful than the one who is making 500K. Look up the word and maybe you will understand a bit better!
I can definitely see that you did not do well in school. My guess is your "success" that brings you a decent salary, does not require you to have decent spelling and grammar. What a shame. It does go a long way!
Be careful with the attitude you have. I know many right now that sadly, due to the economy, are not in nearly the same tax bracket they were in two years ago. Many that had very successful businesses, lost their businesses because of this economy.
How about being humble and not having the attitude you have? You will go further...trust me!

Ramona:
I haven't figured out if I like you or not. Sometimes I think your growing on me, but then you do or say something that just annoys the heck out of me. However, I do agree with you about the Simon and Alex Creepy Thingy, they creep me out too and wish they were not on the show. I'll let you know at the end of the season what the final conclusion of my likability for you is.

Ramona.
I would like to write a book too. My book would be all about ME, living in Manhattan, the madcap adventures in taking them to St. Ignatius Loyola School on the East Side and being involved in their activities. I would also give women advice on how to dress like a classy mom, you know..oh..no you don't. Well, it would be advise on dressing age-appropriate so as not to embarass your children. In my book, I would also state the importance of descretion, something you don't know about, and being a good friend--something NONE of you housewives know about.
One thing you did right though--you have a great daughter!

Ramona,
You're my favorite on the show. It's pretty clear you have a great marriage and relationship with your daughter, that is nice to see.
Last week LuAnn seemed like she was trying very hard to degrade you with her constant put downs, you did react to that, yet you were the only one to apologize. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to hear her drone on and on about how perfect she thinks she is, it's painful to watch.
No one is perfect and I like the fact that you acknowledge this and don't put on an act for the cameras. I think you're genuine and funny.
Kind Regards,
Brad

I don't know what it is and can't quite put my finger on it but something is fishy with those two !!!

Ramona, I like Luann in general. But she was COMPLETELY off base to react as she did when you commented that her husband appeared/seemed to be much older. If she didn't like the comment should could have said, "I like older men.", wink sweetly, and carry on.
Truth is, he DOES appear older. Perhaps because we rarely see him or hear him, but that's more Luann and her family's decision to keep him off camera.
You (Ramona) were only voicing what many/most viewers were thinking anyway about her husband. Again, Luann's reaction,---> way out of line and overboard.
Her reaction could have been because she's gotten comments about Alex's age many many times before and you just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when her fuse blew on this subject. It blew on the wrong person and frankly, what would her daughter care if her mom married an older man. So what? Who cares? She's happy and that's all that matters and that's what she should have said. Anyway, you were fine. Luann was out of line.

Ramona is very rude and says things that she should not say. She doesnt have tact and needs to think before she speaks. She also thinks she is very hot, she is attractive but not a beauty.

Ramona,
You & Bethenny are my favorites - you have really grown on me. And thank you for putting a much needed Bee in the Countess' Bonnet this season - I am loving it! And you are not malicious about it, which wouldn't be so fun to watch. You are devoid of guile which is quite an accomplishment in NYC. I wish you well.

Just a quick comment to remember that most of the people that watch your show are middle class. I have worked hard to raise not only my two children, but a friend of my daughter. My son is living in Manhattan and is doing some acting. my daughter is a grad.from Duke law school. her friend I raised is a stay at home mom with a wonderful husband and 2 children..she has her teaching degree..So most of us have as much class as any of you..it doesn't take money, to have class.

ramona, you contradicted yourself when you said "you always try to make people feel comfortable" hmmm i beg to differ on many occasions. or how about disagreeing with jill posting a gripe in a local newspaper on how rude and hurtful that can be to someone, yet your gripes on alex and simon for millions to see don't count. and while you might have a mild mannered child, what you don't have is 2 happy boys full of life and will learn respect as they grow from 2 seemingly charming role models...as i believe it is better to model how to act instead of how not to.

Ok Ramona seriously needs to chill and mind her own business. Also, she totally should mind her manners, not to sound like "The Countess", but leaving a party without saying goodbye or showing up super-late is just downright rude. Although I'm sure she is a nice person in real life, the say she is showed, she is completely oblivious to just about everything. Her dancing at Bethenny's Social Life party- I don't think she noticed that people were walking AROUND her. No offense Ramona- just constructive criticism!
