I want to apologize for not blogging last week. We taped the reunion show last Tuesday and it took me several days to recover. I felt as though I was beaten up (verbally that is) and I am scared to see the footage. So fans, GET READY!

My daughter is my pride and joy and has turned out to be a remarkable young lady. I have always treated her with respect. I've spoken with her about my trials and tribulations in business so that she can learn from my experiences. That is why when I was doing the tape for HSN she was making me nervous. I knew I would be taking long pauses, but would eventually pick up my momentum again, and of course being my daughter, she noticed it immediately. I would expect nothing less from her, as she has learned well. There is a lot of truth in the saying: "The apple does not fall from the tree." The tape came out great and I am looking forward to my upcoming show on HSN in the beginning of June.

I think many people are too quick to go under the knife. There are so many alternatives to plastic surgery. I always pursue subjects that interest me, and I have researched anti-aging skincare and methods to maintaining a youthful face and body. Working out regularly is important, but a little help from the vela smooth machine is a great way to tone and eliminate cellulite. The vela smooth method works with a laser and has replaced the Endomology machine. In this episode I visit Dr. Sharon Giese, who recently made the top cosmetic surgeon list in the New York Times. She is a plastic surgeon who also offers many procedures that do not involve cutting. I think that plastic surgery should be held off as long as possible. I have already reached fifty years old, and I am proud to say that I have yet to go under the knife, and maybe never will. Maintaining the overall quality of your skin is so important - that's why I developed Tru Renewal anti-aging skin care. I worked and consulted with Dr. Sharon Giese on my skin care line.https://www.ramonasinger.com/tru-renewal-landing.aspx

Everyone gets brown spots on their face, no matter how much sunblock they use. That is why the IPL machine or the newer Matrix machine is so great. I could go on and on about the alternatives to plastic surgery and the importance of keeping your body and skin healthy. Some people like buying expensive gowns or purses, but I enjoy spending my money on ways to stop the aging clock as long as possible, or rather be in the best physical shape that I can for my age.

Ramona--
How do you feel about hyulronic acid for skin care. I know I misspelled that word, but I have been using skin care products for years and I know that I am not nearly as wrinkled as I would have been without it. I started using eye care products in my thirties and I have no crows feet as a result. I know a big part of how you age is also hereditary but I am a firm believer in doing what it takes to slow the clock. Your face is very impressive. How long have you used skin care products?

There is a part of me that does not understand why you must pick people apart. Underdog, married to a much older man, Jill likes underdogs. Don't you think Jill liked Bethenny for being herself? You have no filter. Even your friends at the party you had was trying to smooth things with the comment of Bethenny being an underdog. Did you not see the look on Bethenny face showing how hurt she felt with the comment? I don't understand why people just want to hurt others. Since you seem to do it all the time my question is what do you get from saying the hurtful things that you do and why do you do it? Wouldn't it be better to keep some thoughts to yourself? With friends like you who needs an enemy.

I think that you are the rudest person I have ever seen. You think that putting people down makes you look good and you don't you look like a jerk. Also you have said a number of times that you don't like alex and simon. so you are not friends so why would they tell you that alex might have a nude picture coming out in a paper. You have been nothing but rude and bitchy so why would they say anything to you. You are one of the only housewives that i think really needs to grow up and maybe learn some manners so have a talk with luann

Hi, Ramona.

I think you look great, but I wish you would consider a hair makeover. I think you should go a little shorter and change the color. On tv, the hair color is not complimenting your skin tone. I think you should give it a go for next season.

In fact, only LuAnn has a hairstyle that is complimentary of her face. Betheny, Kelly and Jill and you wear hair that is too long and stragley. I thought New York women were more stylish.
Don't get me wrong, you are all beautiful women. I just think that a hair makeover day would be a good move.

Hi Ramona,

All the housewives have beautiful skin. Do they use your product line? Would love a free sample? I love beautiful skin, but am never sure what to buy. Are you hiring any help. Love the show You are a hoot!!!!

Dear, Dear Ramona:

I have known women like you in my life, fortunately that was twenty years ago in high school. Does is really make you feel better about yourself to be so rude and bash everyone else. I just don't get it. I have a feeling you are an extremely insecure person striving to come off as confident at everyone else's expense. So sad. I hope one day you figure out what true kindness and confidence is. Good luck!

Ramona, I admire that you take care of yourself so well. But, I must warn you about Duzoxin. It contains very harmful and dangerous stimulants. I urge you to stop taking it (if you are currently) and implore you to stop selling this dangerous supplement to others whom may look to you for advice on looking so good at your age. It is one thing to sell face cream, another to peddle dangerous and harmful stimulants.

Ramona, you are a very verbal person, I like you, but sometimes you should think before you say somethings, however I loved it when you made the comment to Luann about her and husbands age difference. She should have never opened her mouth, you were talking to Bethenny anyway.

Ramona,

I hope we see more of you and your family next season! You are my favorite of all the housewives, you're the most genuine and don't pretend for the cameras.

It's too bad how you are held to a different standard than the other women. It seems like you are bashed for anything you say and they are praised while they trash everyone.

You look great and it's nice that you share with the viewers how you stay so young looking. It seems some folks don't understand that a quality face cream is necessary, having a treatment with your dermatologist doesn't mean you no longer need to use face cream! Duh...

There will always be people that love to judge and point fingers, just remember that living well is the best revenge. It's clear you have a wonderful marriage and family life, it's nice to see on this type of show.

Ramona,

On Saturdays, episodes of NY Housewives are usually on back to back for hours. I have seen every episode but have the show on while I'm doing my work around the house. As I watch these episodes I am amazed at how you find it necessary to criticize all the other housewives, especially Jill. You berate and belittle them all and then tell anyone who will listen how wonderful and smart you are. You are a friend to no one. I watched a clip of you and Mario at an outdoor restaurant and you were just ripping on everyone. A minute later the waitress spilled a drink on you. All I could think was KARMA. Maybe if you weren't so self absorbed you could see the good in people. I'm sure if you had to say just nice things about people you would never speak - I would like that.

Hi Ramona,

I think you look great for 50! I was surprised to hear that you were 50 also. Good luck with your skin care line. I just turned 49 and people think I am 42. I had to actually show one co-worker my license! I have very few wrinkles, and use nothing. When I wear makeup it is very light, and I try to minimize my face to sun exposure. Maybe we are just blessed with good genes!

Ramona,

First let me say you are a beautiful and ambitious woman who has a lovely daughter. It is quite obvious she is the smile in your heart.

Having said that, you need to stop taking yourself so seriously and think before you speak. Some of your comments are so insulting I have a hard time believing you didn't know what you were saying was offensive. I give you credit for being more intelligent than that so I don't buy the widen eyes as a sign of true confusion on your part. You are definitely an instigator in life which must be very tiring for those around you.

And, is Mario such a fashion expert and ignorant that he feels compelled to criticized (attempting to humiliate Simon on air) someone's attire? Mario is a nice looking guy, but his obnoxious personality cancels out the looks. He makes Bobby positively handsome in comparison. You don't see these outburts coming from Bobby and I would expect better from Mario who appears to be a successful business man. You need to tone him down BIG TIME!!!

To end on an up note, if you are using your skin products, you are an excellent advertisement for your products. Good luck with your new skin care products. I agree with Bethany, however, in keeping the same logo for all your products so they are associated with you. Tru? True? Pick one and stick with it across the board.

It's weird, I like you but I don't. Sometimes I think you are a bit of a witch and other times I think you are funny cause I like your truthfulness. I don't however agree with the things you said to Bethenny at all. I mean seriously, who the heck do you think you are?? Bethenny is way better than all of you women and she doesn't need to marry a man for his money so that she can start her own businesses like the rest of you. She is doing very well for herself all on her own. You other ladies could learn from her.

Hi Ramona,

I've been reading the posts after this episode and am enjoying all the comments immensely. I too have had a problem with excessive perspiration as does my teenage daughter. Ramona,

I have to say at first you were a bit much to take in but you have grown on me and I think that you are a pretty cool lady, maybe a little crazy, but who isn’t these days. I also have the same problem with perspiring like you and like you said it is very embarrassing and I ruin almost all of my shirts. I have never come out to talk about it with a doctor or even my family even though they do notice, I just say I have menopausal hot flashes at 25 years old. It has made a huge impact on my life and not in a good way. I am very insecure about it and I feel like I have no control over it. HELP!! What was the secret???

If your skin care line is so great - why do you need to visit the plastic surgeon for laser and botox treatments? You're just another hypocrite out to take advanantage of people. I'm sure this won't be used.

You truly seem to have a genuine heart. You sometimes may not say things in the best way, but you seem to mean well. You hit the nail on the head with Kelly, she is so confusing to me. ~Lady Singer,

I just wanted to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being so bold as to share with the world about your “sweat issue”, if you will. I too, have the same problem and until I saw the last episode I thought I was the only one who had this problem. I’ve had it my entire life and it is SO bad that I am forced to ware tank tops 24/7. This last winter was hard, I was ill ten times, no joke, because I can’t ware warmer tops. It felt like I was pretty much ill all winter. I’m 24 and veryveryvery feminine and this curse of ours really just holds me back from daily life and makes me feel so self cautious to the point that I hardly ever go out. It’s so beyond embarrassing, especially for a girl, to have fountains of ickyness pouring down your arms and what makes it worse is there is nothing I can do about it.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I am very grateful that you had the balls to share your curse and for making me feel not so alone. Thank you Lady Singer, you rock!

Peace and Love,

Abigail.

Hi Ramona,
I also suffered from the same underarm problem you're having for years until I found Certain Dry. I ruined enough dresses and sweaters to fill any closet. It is easy to find and even easier to use. I now use it a couple of times a month and never need a deodorant or any other underarm product. It's miraculous. Give it a try.

Ramona,
I enjoy watching you on the show. I like to hear what your opinions are on beauty procedures, etc.
Each person will have their own opinion about Kelly... I tend to think that she's a Space Cadet, and she wanted to make Bethenny look bad on TV. She made herself look bad instead.
Speaking of looking bad... I liked your husband until he just posted his nasty little blog. Not very nice. You should ban him from blogging.
Lots of luck to you with your skin care line. 'Hope to see you ladies back next season!

Hi Ramona,

I recently watched episode 11 where you visited the plastic surgeon and complained about profuse sweating. I am a medical student and I wanted to know if you have had your thyroid hormones checked? Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include sweating, eye protrusion (exopthalmos), neurotic anxiety, fine tremos, brisk reflexes, weight loss and/or increased appetitie. If you think you have some of these symptoms I would suggest haveing your throid hormones checked either by your regular doctor or an endocrinologist. Hope this helps.

I love you and Mario. You guys are not the best at expressing your thoughts to say the least but I love how you stick by and care for each other. I love how Mario came to your rescue (whether that was intended or not) to combat Jill hhhh. though honestly you guys are no match for Jill - did you see how well she took on the offending questions thrown by BBC interviewers? she knows how to make herself likable by putting in those mature grownup comments. Whereas you guys in comparison are immature at expressing your thoughts - filter them for the show! though it won't be as fun to watch if you do that hh.

Anyhow, I think you are the luckiest woman on this show. You are a successful woman with your own business (not like Jill who works for her husband and just spends his money). You are gorgeous. Have a hot husband. Lovely daughter and a luxurious life ...despite having imperfect personality. Now, that's a life to be envied. :) cheers,

I love the City and enjoy watching the show but cannot understand how you all are friends. Bethany is just too much, she is the type that seems to be someone very hard to be a friend. Jill in my opinion is just so funny. She is honest about her feelings (spoiled). I only wish my ex would have treated me like her husband during the 34 years I was married. She should really learn to appreciate what she has. Kelly is just into herself. Ramona seems to be more down to earth. I like her and Jill the best on the show. I come from Brooklyn and am very familiar with Cobble Hill as my grandparents lived there when it was called downtown Brooklyn. Their living room is gross! Where are there kids? Do they have a nanny? Not too well behaved in Zarins store. I had two kids and they never ever behaved like that. The episode about Alex driving around the City to make a special Birthday was very sweet. Girls enjoy what you have, because most of us have never had what you guys have.

Ramona,
I think by far that you are the most real housewife on the show. You pull no punches and I love that about you. I know being a mother is one of the toughest jobs out there and it takes a lifetime to create a relationship with your children, I have a pretty good relationship with my daughter because I also talked alot to her since she was a baby, she is the most important person in the world to me, and I respect her and her point of views. She gives me advice sometimes, she's very wise for her age, just like Avery. You need to continue being yourself and not pay attention to the rest of these ladies, which by the way I also admire each for their own individuality, I don't necessarily agree with everything they do on the show and how they treat people but all the women have something to offer the show and all women out there watching. Just keep being who you are. I admire your hard work, I have recently ordered your product line and look forward to trying it all. Good Luck and keep being Ramona!

Ramona,

I really have tried to like you this season, but you really contradicted yourself. You said you don't like being around people like Alex and Simon b/c of their negative energy. Wow you and your nasty husband really need to take a look in the mirror! So many rude/catty comments from the 2 of you about everyone else, you both must have major esteem issues to put everyone else down like that. Ramona,

Sorry to hear the reunion taping was difficult for you, it seems you are held to a different standard than your castmates.

I'm very tired of Jill's behavior towards you and the nasty comments she makes. She acts like she is better than you and loves to tear you down at any cost. It seems like she is treatened by you and is desperate to make you unhappy.

You and Mario seem to have the best relationship that doesn't revolve around money but love and respect.

Maybe that is why Jill is so upset, it must be hard to watch a happy, loving couple considering her husband said he knew she would find something to complain about when he gave her a car. Life can't be all that great when your own husband makes such a comment. Poor guy.

You've become my favorite this year, I think you are fun to watch and have a great life. Hope to see more of you next year and less of the one's that love to talk trash behind everyone's back.

Ramona!
I just recently started watching your show and am totally hooked, I could watch you gals for hours. I have a question I hope can be answered, I completely LOVE the paint color in your dining/living rooms-a smooth, calm yellow. Could you PLEASE let us know what brand and color it is???? Tahnk you!

Hi Ramona,

Too bad we did't see more of you in this episode, but it sure was fun to watch, many laugh out loud moments. Can't wait to see the reunion episode and it might be longer than a hour??? I wanted to tell you about a prescription product that would rid you of the excessive perspiration. My 14 year old daughter has the same problem and her pediatrician recommended Hypercare. It has worked wonders and is topical and not invasive. Take care!

Oh my goodness, Ramona, you look beyond incredible for your age (and way to put your age out there)! I'm so pleased to hear you are working with what God gave you and have not altered it surgically as so many other women even half your age have done. I can only pray I look half as good as you do when I turn 50!

On another note, my 15 year-old daughter also has a perspiration problem. Please tell us more about or post on your website about what you are doing to control it. We have yet to find a viable method.

I'm glad to hear you are finally seeing thru to the real Kelly. Can't wait for the reunion show and sorry to hear it was so rough, but it makes for good T.V. for those of us HW junkies! ;-)

Take care!

Thank you Ramona for being on the show; you are one of my favorites. I can relate to you more and I like your way of thinking. I saw what Kelly was saying in that episode as well. I think Kelly is just misunderstood and doesn’t know how to express her self in a confrontation. But, that doesn’t make her a bad person like most think. I do not like confrontation and get nervous, and end up saying something really mean… I wish you great success with your businesses!!! Just watching and listening to you has motivated me to go back to school. Hope to see you next season.

Ramona, I love watching you on the show! You and your husband are simply perfect together! I love how you always seem to have each others back...right or wrong...you just seem to stick together. You also seem to be a fantastic mother! Your love for your daughter really shows! The only thing I wish were different is your relationship with Jill. She seems to be so fun and down to earth. Good luck with your new skin care line! You deserve success!

It was very nice to see you compliment Alex's kitchen. I agree with you, the red living room is a bit much. I think you handle your life better than Vicki of the OC Housewives. At least you have romance in your marriage; she could take a lesson from you. Don't stoop to Vicki's level; she is flaky like Kelly. Good luck with your business.

I like you, Ramona. Thank you for being family-oriented. Thank you for motivating women to engage in business. Thanks for great tips on anti-aging subject. I am a big fan! Have a great day and please, do not let other's comments bother you. My advice/approach: What other people think of u is none of ur business:-) On that note - just ignore it. You are better than that.

Ramona,

will cringe watching the reunion show if you are roasted. Granted, you come across somewhat abrasive, but I think you are just an honest person. It may not be someone else's reality, but you are true to yours. I would have been pissed at Simon's appearance on girl night (last season), you said what everyone else thought. I love Jill as well, but the secretive bs and lack of trust in Mario was insulting to you and you were spot on to offended. Simon, oh dear Simon, what a mess of guy. I really have no super bad thoughts, he is harmless really and loves his family, kudos for that, but I can see how might annoy a straight shooter like you. I'll be rooting for you on reunion day. Why do like Kelly? That's the one thing I don't get. She is unnecessary.

Ramona,

I must say that I loved your blog this week. You and Mario have a lovely daughter, congratulations on being such fantastic parents.

I also like the fact that you would rather try other alternatives to surgery. I plan on purchasing your skin care line as soon as I can.

I don't really like Mario's aggressive behaviour towards Jill, he digs at LuAnn or his attacks on Silex; that being said, you guys make a good couple as you compliment each other and work together on the same goals, which is what all good marriages should be about, regardless of outside opinions.

Keep up the good work and don't let others get to you, just remember we are all human and make mistakes and TiVo catches everything!!!!

Best Wishes for your continued success.

Hey girl,
I got that scene with Avery. My daughter is a great friend, but she has an eagle eye. She knows me too well and I cant hide anything from her. So, yea, I get that Avery made you nervous!
As for Kelly - I think you hit the right note on her. It's thoughtful of you to give Silex their due on the lovely kitchen.
Cant wait for the reunion!

Ramona,

Sorry that the reunion was rough for you (you are far from being the hardest housewife to watch--hello Kelly, Countess). I think you have a great family and seem to have so much going for you. You are vulnerable to criticism whenever you indelicately express your certitude from time to time because people who have insecurities will feel attacked. Sure you may on occasion lack tact and grace, but it's obvious to any objective person that you have a great heart and mean well. Stay above the fray, but keep in mind that it's endearing to sincerely apologize when you've been wrong or hurt someone's feelings (For example, you're apology to Luann was the perfect tone even though she overreacted). Best of luck with your business ventures, and I look forward to seeing you next season.

Where is Mario's blog this week? It's my favorite. Why are you taking advice from Vicki? She is awful, and treats her husband so badly!
p.s. just saw the RMS fashion bonus clip. How does Mario feel about you flirting to "get a better price"?

Hi Ramona!

I totally agree with your philosophy about aging and the natural approach. Surgical nips and tucks should be avoided unless all other routes have been exhausted. Amen sistah! Getting a zap here or there is fine too if you can afford.

I am anxious to try your new skin care line. My own mother used to tell me to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize and don't forget your neck! I smiled when I heard you say the same thing recently. It's very true!

I think you are probably the most down to earth housewifey on the show. You are not ostentatious by any means. You say what you mean regardless of how it is perceived by others. That's REAL! You don't seem to play to the cameras either and I totally agree with you about Jill liking the underdog.

Love ya Ramona, have a great summer and can't wait to see you and your family next season!
Hugs!

Hey Ramona, Was it Simon or Jill who picked on you at the Reunion show? They are both troublemakers who always think they are right. Your a good person with a great family, don't let bad karma disrupt your life.

you are fifty?!?!?!?! I cannot believe that...you look absolutely amazing and would never thing you were fifty!!! Your skin care routines really have payed off!! You are great Ramona, I love how you tell it like it is!

NO WAY YOU ARE 50!!! You go girl! I'll be 45 this year, and still have people tell me that they think I am in my 30's. Moisture is the key! Slather it on, drink tons of water...keep it moist, baby...keep it young. I'm blown away that you are older than I am. You DO look fab-O!

Hi Ramona,
I have to say that I also have a sweating problem.I was kind of mad at your doctor for wanting to do surgery before trying other methods.I use this stuff called Hyper care, your Dr. can write you a scrip for it.I have used it,and it works great so far.You can use it anywhere you sweat. If it stops working I will then opt for the surgery because it is a really embarassing problem.

I was happy to see you on the show apart from the other housewives. Your skin really is beautiful, so I take your recommendations to heart on that subject. I am sorry to hear about the verbal assault coming up on the reunion show. I think Jill, in particular, just has it out for you. You would do yourself a favor by just ignoring her, but you rarely do.

Your entire family is amazing. You have a strong personality and some people do not react well to it. The whole Simon issue is understandable. There is always someone who you constantly encounter who just irks you in every way. Simon is your "gnat" that buzzes around you all the time. If you have a comment about him when he is bugging you, then make it. Just do not get too aggressive and loud. It makes you look silly.

Are you jealous of Alex and Simone's relationship. Back off from them, They have more class in their little finger then you and your husband put together. You are about as nuts as Kelly.

To begin with, despite your on air antics, I have to give you props your your faboulous skin, and was considering buying it when it comes out....that was BEFORE WE SAW YOU GETTING EXPENSIVE FACIAL TREATMENTS AT A MANHATTAN PLASTIC SURGEON'S OFFICE.
Of course you have great skin you get little treatments to help this along. Most of us "Real Housewives of, (insert suburb here) are lucky to get a pedicure once in a while and a plain and simple facial is a luxury bestowed upon us in gift certificate form once or twice a year.
We don't have access to little treatments invasive or non. You are a complete fraud if you get on camera and sell your cremes using your face as an example of how well it works. In this ecomony especially you should be ashamed of your self selling snake oil, to use the profits to see your plastic surgeon.

Ramona, I am glad to see someone explain the initial "Kelly vs. Bethenny" confrontation so well. Kelly telling Bethenny "You're down here; I am up here" was not in reference to society - she was referencing their behavior. As for why Kelly does not like confrontation, who does? Honestly. But Kelly's constant shutting down is because she is not receptive. She is too defensive and shuts down, which then prevents her from forming a coherent thought.

Ramona, you have a little of this in you, too. Be more receptive. You are free with the tongue. Be free with the ear, too.

04/29/2009 - 5:32am
Disappointed...

Romona...that was pretty Wicked!!! Why are you causing fights between Jill and Bethenny?(Jill and Bethenny are BFF's!) Jealous? Jill let Bethenny set up a bar for her skinny drinks at the last charity they worked together on.... Romona, I think your still upset about the tennis match...and your paying Bethenny and Jill back by starting trouble...you have your "Tru or is it True" skin care samples as give outs for your promotion to get your line out there(at Jills Charity)...so why isn't Bethenny aloud to get her drinks out there?(Pretty Selfish Romona!)

I don't think that was very nice Romona...if anyone you should be getting back is that Witch Kelly...how come you didn't pay her back when you invited her to that fashion show and then she wrote and took all the credit for it and said she needed to teach you a thing or two about fashion...

Oh, ya...there nothing to be jealous about with Kelly, so you didn't need to get her back (most of the viewers Do Not Like Kelly)... Wow!

That really disappointed me when I saw all the trouble you were causing for Jill and Bethenny...that was mean Romona and you looked very catty and childish doing that to them...I know you have more style then that...
