This Is How Real Housewives of New York City’s Dorinda Medley Does a Caribbean Cruise

There were bumper cars and caftans.

Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley is just back from a spring breather in the form of a cruise with longtime love John Mahdessian. The star sailed onboard Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas, which is based in New York. It's a pretty new ship, having just sailed its maiden voyage last year around this time, and it has room for nearly 4,200 vacationers, plus 1,500 crew. (So that’s just a tad more than Below Deck Mediterranean’s staffing situation.)

Their itinerary was a 12-night southern Caribbean cruise, though the couple didn’t sail from the beginning (a departure from Cape Liberty, New Jersey). Instead, they actually boarded the ship in Puerto Rico a few days later. So the remaining ports of call they got to check out included Phillipsburg, Netherlands Antilles; Fort de France, Martinique; Bridgetown, Barbados; and Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; and it all wrapped up back at Cape Liberty.

While on board, the couple checked out the panoramic views from 300 feet above sea level in Anthem’s glass attraction known as North Star, a jewel-shaped capsule that soars over the sea. They also channeled their inner kids and rode bumper cars.

The pair lounged poolside in the ship’s adults-only Solarium for some grown-folks’ time. On the ship, Dorinda was all about her colorful caftans — perhaps taking a page from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Dubai?

As well, the pair checked out a preview of the Royal Caribbean’s new Royal Suite Class, which is just launching this month. The new class level provides an elite set of experiences and amenities — apropos for a Bravolebrity — and even includes a so-called “Royal Genie,” who grants exclusive access to one-of-a-kind experiences, like private shore excursions and VIP seating.
