Bethenny Frankel Had the Best Sense of Humor About Her Sheer Dress Mishap

Bethenny Frankel's sense of style is always spot-on, and so is her impulse to give back. On April 30, The Real Housewives of New York City philanthropist spoke about her charitable efforts at the DoSomething.org gala. For the occasion, the B Strong Founder wore a lacy black cocktail dress that feted the arrival of springtime with appliqued butterflies and flowers. 

The dress was a perfect mix of elegance and whimsy. Bethenny's beauty look — which paired a smoky eye and a nude lip with a gorgeous, glossy blow-out — was the cherry on top. But while the Skinnygirl mogul posed on the red carpet, The Daily Mail picked up on another detail of her outfit with its cameras.

After the publication ran a close-up photo of Bethenny's sheer dress, the RHONY pal remarked on Twitter: "If you want to see a very special Barbie breast nipple cover wardrobe malfunction, tonight was my night. Without them, I may have just gone topless. That will be next time." She then quipped: "Well it was @dosomething so I did. #nippleeffect." 

The witty New Yorker then tweeted again, thanking the British tabloid for not mentioning the nipple covers she thought were slightly obvious. "People are so afraid these days that we can’t enjoy a good old wardrobe malfunction," Bethenny quipped. "Why I leave my house I’ll never know."

Well, we're certainly glad she does leave the house — and puts out the witty barbs that keep us laughing.
