Ramonas Never Lie

Being honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women's Venture Fund was something I was extremely proud of. I spoke from my heart and for my full speech you can go to my blog. I will also be posting it on YouTube. I have worked hard at everything and nothing was ever handed to me. It was also a great feeling to show off my newest pieces for True Faith. I was so happy that my family and friends were all there to support me, which now brings me to Kelly…

In St John's I went out of my way to take care of Kelly. I wanted to keep her calm and be there for her. I continued to do so after the trip. No one is perfect, not even me, and I have learned to accept Kelly for who and what she is.

So, you can imagine my shock when I had emailed her about this event months before and two days before she says she can't attend. No reason. No explanation. Just can't come.

I was really hurt! So when I got home that night, I looked at my phone and got "Ramotional." I answered just as short and cold as she did: "If you can't support me don't ever expect me to support you". Yes, I should have said I was hurt that she couldn't come and talked about what I was really feeling, but I didn't, so I have to own it.

I was so excited when David Meister told me he was doing a fashion show to help scleroderma. He wanted to have all the models wear my jewelry for HSN. Then he asked me to be a celebrity model in his show! Well I needed to take my past fear on, as last time I was like a deer in headlights. I did it again, and I am happy I did! If you fall, get back up -- always a good motto in life and business. If there is a next time I will just be my smiley self and not try the serious looks the models do. LOL!

I wonder what LuAnn's reaction will be to Kelly saying that she and LuAnn have similar backgrounds as they "both married much older men." I got crucified by LuAnn for saying the same thing to her face?!?

Am I just listening more to what the women are saying behind my back or were they always this catty? Why would LuAnn say to Kelly, "until they stab you in the back like the Ramonas in the world"? I never stab anyone in the back. I have the opposite problem. I, at times, have an unfiltered mouth and will say things right to your face, and I never lie. The truth, I know, can hurt and at times it should not be said. I need to work more on this. I know.

And what's with Kelly saying, "how can she be friends with Ramona?" Wow! I admit I at times was rude to Kelly, and she was never my favorite person, but I never would say to anyone, "Why are you friends with her?" Everyone has a choice to be friends with whomever they choose. To say I am very disappointed in LuAnn and Kelly's words behind my back would be an understatement!!!
