Fun episode with Lu Lu's video. Turned out I couldn't go. Anyone who knows me knows I'm geographically challenged. I don't like going to Tribeca, Govenors Island, Quogue, and now Atlantic City, when I can just be ensconced in my home with family and the menagerie of pets! I really am married to my house!
My daughter didn't want me to leave her overnight during the week. Or even a whole day away. I am with her everyday after school and it's precious to us to have that time. The after-school snack when we perfect our toaster oven recipes for our book, homework, and then the time we relax together until bath/dinnertime/bedtime is priceless. I want her to know I am there, though not perfect. They grow up so fast, and I hear eleven is crazy! There will be a time she won't want me around so much?
I also have so much going on in my life right now with my divorce, and movie deal that went south, on top of managing my household, that my time is strapped.
I can see Alex and Ramona are not dying to support LuAnn and her video. Let's face it we are all so busy with our families, business, charities, and we just can't attend everything we are invited to. One really has to streamline it down to have anytime left over for themselves in fact. Me time is so important!
I was glad Jill and Kelly were going. That should make a good video! Very glamorous at minimum. How funny was it when the director couldn't say anything but great? Come on! Wrap your arms around this project.
I love working out at the Equinox. I do the spin, yoga, and mini trampoline classes and it's within waling distance, of course. Ramona can be hard core so I play it up a bit so she doesn't push me too hard! I have her number after all these years. LOL!
OK, so I am not such a big fan of yours, but have to agree completely with you re: Cindy. She was incredibily RUDE, first to have her assistant show up and second to "shush" you while you are making breakfast!!! You are 100% correct in your assumption that she simple doesn't "want to be your friend". Move on she is a waste.
can anyone please tell me what the name of the pearl and leather lariat style necklace is that Cindy is wearing in some of the interview portions of the show? I have searched and cannot find one similiar. Even the designer name would be even better. Pamela .
Ok, please, with all the burlesque, booty out costumes, and sexual remarks u make....u can't b serious about Luann's video and morals. U spend too much time bashing other people n imagining everybody wants u. It's funny really. I think u really do have the ability to b a really genuine person. Perhaps the camera makes it difficult.
Sonja you are so right to spend quality time with your little girl, the time goes by to fast and is something you cannot get back, i know my little girl is now 29 and i dont know where the time went. You are a firecracker and just what the show needed! By the way Cindy was so rude and off course maybe she should take a lesson in being a good friend. good luck with your affairs!
I am so sorry for what you are going through I can't imagine on TV. I know that was your choice but still must be stressful. I do think you should give up with Cindy she has no manners, you are invited to someones home, you take calls outside if you have to take one. But to me you can turn your phone off for an hour. Also it is her business she can take time out. Needs to take time out.....
But love that your on the show.
Sonja, I wonder the same thing about the director and his comment about the song being "great". He was at a loss for words.... Luann did not have to get upset at Ramona at least she gave her a good reason her daughter was not thrilled. Sometimes as parents we have to take a step back to see what is appropriate, you have a 10 yr. old and chose to think wisely. Even though I think that you guys would have made a great addition to what seems to be a "boring" video.
I don't believe LuAnn was taken back by Ramona's comment about not being in the video but her insinuation to LuAnn's parenting skills. She said LuAnn's skills were "different", both women are good mothers I am sure. If Ramona didn't want to be in the video she should of just said what she later said about LuAnn's needing them to make the video better...NOT. The song mentions all of you so it makes perfect sense that all make a cameo at least. But the green envy bug enters the scene and the blonds all back out...like high school. Lol! But seriously, if they didn't want to do it that is fine, it's a free country. LuAnn said it was fine too, but it was the parenting comments made by Ramona (and her foot-in-the-mouth disease) that sparked the heated conversation.
OMG! How did you not throw her out on her butt!!!! Cindy has no manners - and she was not polite about the call, she dismissed you like you were her assistant's assistant... You are amazing! I commend you for trying - throw in the towel, she's not worth it! :)
after how rude you were in past episodes why would she want to get to know you? Remember the pecking order!
Cindy was soooo Rude. If she couldn't afford the courtesy of her time, then she should have declined. PERIOD. You are right, I don't think that she really wants to be friends. You tried. Team Blonde all the way.
Love You Sonja.....Cindy is rude and should have let you know about her call ahead of time, plain and simple......you tried more than once, just let it go....you have bigger things to take care of.....
I was thinking the very same thing about Alex at the fire, she looked stunning :) ...your cocktail dress was gorgeous, and you looked extra gorgeous in the Art Show scene!
You, Ramona and Alex all seem to have your hearts in the right place...the season has been really fun!
I completely understand you need to spend time with your daughter. Mine is 17 and she still wants to talk my ear off after school to tell me about her day, have her snack and drink and go grocery shopping for dinner. I appreciate this time because it is so short a time that they want our advice and undivided attention. I relish the time. Sorry about the breakfast with Cindy. She is the most rude person I have ever seen. You are right. It is a message. She would never have done that to Jill.
Hello :) Just had to say that I couldn't believe how rude Cindy was when you had her over for breakfast. She brought her uninvited assistant and had a conference call, unbelieveable!! She seems to be very unaware of her behavior. Sonya, you were very good at standing your ground with her to let her know how she acted.
Had that happened to me I don't believe I could have handled it as well as you did.
SONJA, I USE TO LOOK UP TO YOU, BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT THE OTHER LADIES WERE FIGHTING ABOUT, YOU ALWAYS STAYED OUT OF IT AND LOOKED FOR THE GOOD IN PEOPLE, BUT KNOW YOU SEAM TO BE TAKING SIDES, WHY NOT STAY FRIENDS WITH EVERYBODY AND LET THEM KNOW, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET IN THE MIDDLE, LUANN WAS YOUR FRIEND TOO. KNOW IT SEAMS LIKE YOU WANT TO HANG WITH RAMONA, WHO IS NOT A NICE PERSON AT ALL, IT'S LIKE SHE IS TRYING TO BUY YOUR FRIENDSHIP,AND KISS UP TO YOU, AND ALEX IS THE SAME WAY. I KNOW YOU HAVE ALOT GOING ON, AND I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, JUST DON'T FOR GET THE OTHER LADIES ARE THEIR FOR YOU TOO. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Wow. Cindy was very rude to arrive with her assistant and set up her office at your breakfast table. That she thinks it is okay because you were "friends" is sad. She doesn't seem to know how to be a friend.
Sonja, you are such a lady. You don't put others down, know matter what has happened you seem to stay neutral. We all could take a lesson from you.
You looked great at Alex' party...Brian appears all the time where you are...I hope you're enjoying him "company" because the man is HOT!!
So...I'm confused. If your daughter doesn't approve of you being in a music video; how does she feel about the burlesque performance.
I agree...Cindy was soooooooo rude during your thoughtful breakfast!
You and Ramona add so much fun to the show! Thank God you and Ro didn't do Lou Lou's music video! UGHH
Sonja,,you're the only one out of this group that I would spend any time with. The rest are just toooooo damn fake, pushy, and down right snotty! Call me anytime for toaster oven breakfast,,I will come in my jammies and bring the champagne. And! I promise to leave my cell phone at home,,ha!!
Sonja you looked great in this episode!!! I do think Cindy was being ridiculous...I understand she's running a business but if that is your priority, then why bother coming from "breakfast"? If you are the boss, then they can schedule around you...
Hi Sonja I just LOVE LOVE LOVE you, you are a breath of fresh air on this show, always keeping it classy. You are beautiful and fun and a free spirit, elegant and crazy. i wish you were my mother or sister , an aunt or friend. you really are a terrific person and ALWAYS outshine everyone because you always try to stay in the POSITIVE . every women should have a female like you in their life to show them how to LIVE IN every moment and not let life pass by . Thank you for being YOU
Love you, love you, love you, Sonja!!!
Taking a conference call while a guest is indeed rude. Cindy not only seems to be having a hard time finding her spot in the group, she has a real problem with boundries as well.
I hope all of your worries are soon behind you. Keep loving yourself.
Sonja, all i can say is that you are fabulous, how you react to the people around you that just want you to fail (JILL) is amazing.you are stronger then i could ever be, kudos' to you. keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer seems so easy for you, you are good! keep it real, we love that about you!
I think you are my favorite! You aren't afraid to be yourself! You are direct and classy. Through all the destructive things going on in your life, you keep it together. That is what true class is about! I think you have a wonderful future ahead of you, keep your head held high and take care of business. Your true friend are there beside you to help if you need it. I too thought it EXTREMELY rude for Cindi to take a conference call in your kitchen! What was she thinking?? If she had business to take care of she should have cancelled!!!
I hate the way Luann treats you, she is no friend. I don't think she knows what the word means. Jill clings to her because she likes hanging with a "countess". I still can't believe Jill doesn't see that it's because of Luann's interferring that she and Bethany are no longer friends, so sad!
Thanks fro keeping it real, we love you and wish you nothing but the best!
You are so real and funny. Your my favorite on the show. Keep your chin up things are going to work out fine for you.
Sonja, it was great to see you and Ramona working out at Equinox! I laughed so hard, because I've been on those same treadmills. Great gym, and great job last night! Keep up the good work.
Sonja, Congratulations on maintaining your priorities through this obvious stressful time. Your choice to not break your routine with your daughter was mature and loving. Good for you for having the sense to stay grounded. Good luck to you in this trying time.
I love that you chose to stay home for your daughter. The others will find any reason to criticize and justify themselves doing what they want, regardless of others. Love that you stay close and connected with your daughters!! xoxox
Love watching you Sonja! Out of all the NY ladies, you are the most relatable for me. You seem to be a very well-grounded, free spririt. I can't wait to get your toaster oven book. I am into easy, quick, healthy meals. You rock!
You are one of my favorite housewives, I love watching you! You are such a character and fun-loving at that.
I just love you Sonja, I really do. I find in you a generosity of soul...a certain kindness that comes from within you. You are a good egg!
I am amazed how well you handle multitude of your responsibilities. I think you are forgetting that many of the viewers work for leaving! LOL
Sonja, I love that I can always count on you for honesty, fun and positivity. I enjoy watching you and reading your blogs... Stay just the way you are! :)
I think you are 100% correct in your perception of the other women and their motivation, as well as your explanation of your own personal course direction. You really do not have to explain yourself, but it may be insightful for those who are less informed. Go Sonja!
