Here we go!
For those who are following: Jill Zarin is back! Don't pretend you didn't miss her. Come on! She is a character like no other!
I think Kelly can handle Ramona. I wanted to "play" Ramona so she would be prepared for the "Ramonacisms." Kelly is very sensitive, and I don't want her to take everything Ramona says so seriously. I think she handled it very well considering I really laid it on.
My heart was pounding! I wanted the best for Ramona and Kelly, but was I going to act like this was a cinch so Kelly didn't get unnecessarily nervous? I know this can work.
Aside: Kelly is 42 years old? She looks much younger.
Yes, Ramona! I love that you are taking back the comment. But Kelly is still on the wall. I still believe she should take Ramona with a grain of salt. Ramona deep inside is a nice person. Her intention was to protect Kelly on that trip -- I know, because I was there. We have to try and understand the other person. Tolerance folks! Don't be so fast to judge. I meet people to like them. If they prove otherwise, so be it. I couldn't be happier that Ramona and Kelly are speaking again.
I want to be friends with Cindy. We have all just met her through Ramona, and I wanted her to know that if she were not going to be more tolerant of Ramona, who has been very nice with her, that there would be a wedge between us. Ramona was very upset after the last time she saw Cindy. I also made it clear that I didn't appreciate her telling Kelly that Ramona was going to dropping in for my toaster oven cooking class. It would have been fun for the kids, and Cindy squashed it. Ramona got cut out completely with no chance of dropping in.
I ran downtown 35 minutes away from my home to Cindy's neighborhood, in the middle of my business week, to meet her for lunch while she shows Vivienne Tam (and the whole store) her teeth. She shopped just fine, but couldn't have lunch with me for 30 minutes?! I was starving and didn't even know we were shopping first. Cindy described a trunk show at the restaurant outside. I was not happy. I can eat alone uptown in fabulous restaurants.
I have been noticing Cindy's comments about my businesses, homes, and my staff. It seems like she is judgmental. It is not respectful to dance with people you don't know when invited to someone else's home. It was awkward to say the least.
Well, sorry to hear LuAnn and Ramona bickering. I love Ramona's jewelry and know that LuAnn took home a beautiful bracelet that night -- compliments of Ramona! Glad the Countess admitted that Ramona's wine is delicious. It is very good!
I just want Cindy to be comfortable around me. But at least I stand for something. Stand behind someone, and don't criticize everyone and everything. I will tell you personally how I feel. I have had many friends and colleagues for decades, and for better or worse they know they can count on my word and that I say what I do and do what I say. You may not want to hear it, and I don't blame you! I can be a lot to take at times.
Regarding Jill's, Cindy's, and Kelly's comments: I know they like to pick on Ramona, but it's just not fair.
I have been supporting the ASPCA for sometime now, and we placed three dogs with families that day! What did you think of Anthony, Mr. January? His mother brought him up wonderfully. He is gorgeous, but he also has the best manners. We have done some fundraisers together since then and I have to tell you, he is the drawing factor!
I really enjoyed having Kelly and LuAnn over for the toaster oven lesson. LuAnn can't help but critique. She's spoiled, and so am I. I am just happy the girls said it was delicious. I love the fact I can cook while entertaining the girls, and not have clean up afterwards -- all under 20 minutes or less.
Jill goes to Brooklyn. Yes! I need a helicopter to keep up with these girls. Quogue, Governors Island, Tribeca, Brooklyn. I am spoiled. Everything I do is with within 10 blocks, and I spend most of my day in my house.
I agree with Jill that Alex looks so much better! I especially love Alex's hair now. Of course Jill is nervous. It's too stressful. I agree!
Here's to letting go! Thanks Jill. Alex, how do you feel? So do you want to go back to the fun place? I do! Especially if this group is going on a trip together in the future.
Ramona, just take your pinot with you next time, even if people laugh! I had champagne for Cindy, even though I drink the cheap and cheerful prosecco myself, and she didn't even thank me. Why does she want to fight with Ramona?
Why is Cindy saying Ramona is not authentic? That her core is not good? That's not nice. Ramona says Cindy takes things too personally. Maybe she is right. I don't know Cindy, but I know one thing, no one should take anyone's time for granted. We are all busy, with our businesses, charities, homes, family, friends, and pets. We all have passions, and ways we want to spend our free time. Be gracious.
I hope Jill and Alex and can move on, and be friends.
Thank you for reading my blog and watching our show. I posted some toaster oven recipes and some floral arrangements on my website blog.
