In this episode you see the designer was not upset with Ramona. He had a great time with us the time before when the girls were upstairs dressing. I was just trying to cheer Ramona up bringing her there early. I felt bad. She took a beating from the girls over and over, the past couple weeks, all while working hard at her businesses, and taking care of her family and homes. We were just borrowing the dresses. So they didn't actually fit perfectly. Of course LuAnn and Kelly are tall as the day is long, so everything looks fabulous on them! I ended up giving my dress to Jill because hers didn't fit well either. I was happy to wear my magnificent Sarbu Kaftan anyhow.
I believe that sometimes Kelly misreads emotions. To say Alex is sad not angry is not fair. It's for Alex to say how she feels Again, I think she just wanted to make the heated situation go away. She didn't mean to belittle Alex's feelings.
Alex is certainly not known for her timing but she was coming from a good place and standing up for Ramona and no one really cared to hear it. I felt bad and was surprised Cindy cared. Maybe this is how Cindy feels when she blows up. Maybe I have the key to Cindy?
We didn't know about dinner. LuAnn did not tell me about dinner at 8 pm. We only had a snack at 4 pm. We thought it must be a buffet like breakfast since no one came to us. We became ravenous upstairs and said lets go down. "Where is dinner?" When I have guests they can join or not, as Kelly said but I make sure everyone knows what time. Seriously, who wants to miss dinner?
Kelly's gets a strange read on things at times, and doesn't feel others pain. She said last season that emotions are so 1970s, and that she is not comfortable with feelings. She is totally missing the boat in this situation between LuAnn and Alex as well.
I find it hard to believe that Cindy hasn't seen other ladies react this way. We've all seen her fly off the handle in inappropriate places and times in an aggressive manner. This doesn't make her a bad person, but I'm just sayin'.
I don't understand why LuAnn continues to berate us when Ramona comes in. Alex had just informed her that we were not told what time dinner was. So weird.
I love to see the show just for you and Ramona, you guys make me happy, the other girls look like the people where I work two faces, you anr Ramona are happy girls I like that
As the saying goes. " You have more class in your little finger than the countess does in her whole body"
I believe during most of this trip, you were the most sane of all. My hat is off the way you can seperate the personalities. But I have to say when LuAnn gets on her high horse, I just don't get it.
Sonja! i adore you so much. You are the only one that is rational! which is hilarious because youre also a party girl! i love it! one would think LuAnn would be the rational one, but beware of her.
you are a great friend to Ramona and Alex. I really enjoyed seeing more of you this season. Keep doing what you do!
Sonja, you are great!! Agree with EVERYTHING in your blog!! You are wonderful, lighthearted, and don't take yourself too seriously! You see the good in all people and have the ability to see each situation for what it is! Kudos to you!!
I agree with everything (observations of the the women and situations) you've said here. You and Alex are my favs! (Ramona too).
This was a very nice blog. I hope you get Cindy laughing, like you make me laugh. You are so much like my sister. I get you even if those ladies don't. You were dead on about LuAnn. Once she asked Alex to stay, she should have listened but, it seems she can't ever hear anything negative about herself and take personal responsibility. Glad you are part of the show, especially for Ramona and Alex when they need comforting. You helped Kelly too on Scary Island. I think she forgot.
Great Blog, Lady Morgan! I mean Lady in the highest sense of the word! Insightful, well balanced and informative. I wish you all the best. It's hard work re-creating oneself after life's mishaps. I have faith in you. You're going to be fine. There is a spark about you that I am certain lights up any room you walk into. It's something you either have or don't have. It can be neither taught nor learned. The elusive "it" factor. You have it.
You are the peacemaker Sonja in such a wonderful and cunning way. Kelly is cookoo for sure. She was rude and condescending to Alex in her shushing of her feelings. She knew what she was doing. LuAnn is so controlling. What sign is she? Taurus? She is bull like. LOL Thanks for being you and for a wonderful blog.
Sonja, I really gained my appreciation for you back this episode. You can be so reasonable and rationale with how you handle people in uncomfortable situations. You make so many valid points in your blog. If all three of you women stated that you did NOT know about dinner, why would LuAnn not give you the benefit of the doubt? As you said, "who wants to miss dinner." lol
I also thought LuAnn did not give you credit as being the co-host. From your blog, you put together many of the activities that we as the viewers did not know.
Sonja, I agree with so many points you make in your blog. LuAnn never misses an opportunity to take a dig at Ramona. She talks about how Ramona dresses in Morocco, but does not say a word when Kelly goes out running half naked.
I loved how you showed Ramona support and friendship. You came across as being very "authentic" as Kelly continually says. In prior episodes this season, we have not seen that playful, funny, witty personality that you have. Thanks for reminding us how Fabulous you still are.
I'll tell ya, the only time I laughed was when you & Ramona were sneaking out to go try on the dresses, that was funny & cute! The other scenes were very annoying, Luann & Kelly made it very hard to watch. I'm curious, did Luann pay for the entire trip? It sure sounds that way. Anyway, thanks for the laugh. Last weeks laugh was when Luann was getting bucked around on the camel, lol
Sonja-I think the Countess needs to attend your class on Class. You have a lot of it, while being a whole lot of fun.
I loved seeing you and Ramona sneaking off to look at the dresses. It really looked like a moment of pure fun and silliness, and that you two enjoy each other. I wish we could see more moments like that between all the women!
You are a beautiful woman, but I think you can't get past your former life. You need to move on. You aren't married anymore and this is 2011 not 1999. Things have changed and your life is different now. Look to the future and not to the past. Most of the time you really seem to try to get along with everyone. Luann took over the trip and didn't seem to consult you much at all. You were gracious enough not to get upset by this. I wish you the best!
I just think the Blondes where rude from Day 1...it isn't about who the hotess is, it should have been you all were to vacation together. Romona got what she wanted to stay away from the rest of the crew and with you in tote her mission was complete. Sad that you haven't remained neutral as in the beginning you were a bit of fresh air; now you are acting as wacked as Romona! At least LuAnn tells it like it is unlike Romona who just speaks /cries to hear herself and no one else.
I really like you, Sonja! You always seem like a LADY & you always are up for a good time. Good for you! Best of luck in all that you do! I hope you are also in the next season!
You were so real and sweet the whole trip. I told my hubby, I would definitely dye my brown hair blonde to hang out and party with you and Ramona. You two just seem so much more open and willing, not so staid and stuffy, not so sure YOUR way is the ONLY way... I love that about you. Peace! XOXO
LOVE, LOVE you Sonja! You are beautiful and funny. I loved watching you and Ramona sneak around like school girls. You are right to question LuAnn's timing and motives. She may smile when she's being rude but that doesn't make it any nicer. A hostess doesn't scold her guests. Or talk unkindly about one to the other.
And why did she keep on acting as if no one else had ever left the U.S. before when both you and Alex had been to Morrocco previously?!! And YOU were a co-host on the trip.
YOU are the one with class!
You rock!!! Would LOVE to hang out with you on one of your organized trips. So much more fun than the brunettes!
SONJA ..you are right on point!! I love you and think your great on the show! You and Ramona are truely being yourselves and enjoying your vacation...geez LLuann...take it down a notch! shes so annoying!
I respect your friendship with Ramona and I understand your loyalty but Ramona is insulting to others ... For example, calling the bellydancer fat and stuffing money down her garment (rude), her behavior toward the Moroccan designer, calling LuAnn a a weekend mom. I can go on but Ramona hurts people with her words and expects no one to bite back.
I wish everyone on the show, not naming names, behaved as well as you. Thank you for not behaving in a patronizing and condescending manner. That is the mark of a lady.
Dislike Facebook but will reconsider .... I want win that phone call. To quote Joan Rivers (happy B day Joan! ) ...."Can we talk?"
Love you Sonja and your blogs...make LuAnne read it....she was just so rude to Alex multiple times in this episode...
I like you, Sonja, but you DO have a tendency to see all of life through the Sonja-lens. Sometimes the perspectives of others are just as valid.
I think it is wonderful that you are such a great friend to Ramona....a true friend! You really stayed out from under the radar in last night's episode and must feel great about that because it appeared that LuAnn was on the warpath or something. I had never seen that side of her come out and you handled it all beautifully under the circumstances. As always, you are fun to watch and always so sweet! I love your toaster oven recipes too! You may have no idea how many single moms are out there who use the toaster oven regularly! It is great! Cant wait to see you next week!
Enjoyed you so much on this trip! Wish you could have received more credit for you part in planning activities on the trip but LuAnn seemed to want the cudos on everything as usual.
Now, THIS, is the Sonja I remember from last season. I like this Sonja and I really enjoyed this blog because you do get it. You do see what is going on around you and don't respond by taking shots at others. Welcome back Sonja!
Sonja ,I so love you girl , you are such an awesome and real friend to Ramona , So sweet to see how much fun you guys have together , leave those brunettes in another room , they are such a buzz killers . LOVE YOU!!!!
Sonja you're beautiful inside and out. LuAnn acted like a spoiled child with a new toy. It was very uncountess like. Acting as if she was the only one who planned the trip was just the tip of the iceberg. I'd rather go on a trip with you and Ramona any day of the week.
It cracked me up to see you and Ramona sneak-run past as the camera focused on the Alex and Kelly debacle.
Sonja what's great about you that you care about people in general. Being a public figure with your past is difficult but you moved on which may or may not be as easy but you don't let it boil to the point of OMG. I truly enjoy your blogs as you like to give us a real insight whereas the others write a page as if it's a bother to them. Your summary and your questions to others gives us viewers another look at your life and experiences. Jill and Ramona have been friends since the end of time, they are going through a bump in their road that in time they will fix. Alex is funny as she too speaks her mind. LuAnne wants everyone to treat her like the countess but she is just LuAnne now and it's a shame she can't understand that. Cindy is too new to get it. And as for Kelly....Poor Kelly....enough said....Thanks for caring about your fans.
Sonja you are a far more preferable host (and friend) than LuAnn will ever be. I hope nothing but the best for you and your daughter. Glad you're on the show!
