Carole Says Dream Big

In her final dispatch of the season, Carole encourages the viewers to apply their kindergarten teachings.

By Carole Radziwill

Dear Friends,

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Peacock and catch up on the Bravo app

Thank you for taking the ride with me this season, and welcoming the new cast members and for all of your funny and inspiring comments, emails, and tweets. I appreciate the support because when I told my real life friends I was thinking about being on a reality show they tried to stage an intervention. It was a risk, but in life we all know there is no reward without risk. And like my Grandma Millie says, “Sometimes you have to jump in scared.”

A little voice inside me said "buy the ticket, take the ride," so I did and I’m glad. I am shy by nature and private by training so it was out of character for me, but I believe these are the times where you learn the most about yourself. Sometimes you have to fly when the window is open, take the open shot, throw for the end zone, eat the little cake.

I hope you’ve learned through watching me that there is value in every life experience even if it seems counterintuitive at first. You should take chances. Sometimes you have to bet on yourself to win. I feel like a winner because I never compromised my integrity or lost my sense of humor.

To all you loyal viewers, my wish for you is to get acquainted with that sense of adventure within yourself. Dream big. Don’t listen to people who say who do you think you are? To steal from Victor Hugo, jealousy is an admission of inferiority. Look for similarities in people but remember to celebrate their differences.

Robert Fulgham wrote a great book called, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. He said to play fair, clean up your own mess, and don’t hit people. Take a nap each afternoon, say you’re sorry when you hurt someone, wash your hands before you eat, and flush.

But above all, be aware of wonder.

This concludes the final dispatch from Radziwill headquarters, Season 5 Episode 20.

Best to you,
Carole
