Heather explains the power of a good assistant and why she's not inviting Ramona to London.

By Heather Thomson

A talking intervention? I think a Gossip Girls intervention may be more in line. LOL! I definitely get it! I talk a lot! We all have our moments and its silly stuff.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Peacock and catch up on the Bravo app

I am proud and blessed to have an amazing assistant who helps me navigate an extremely hectic schedule and thanks to Shawna, I am able to keep a lot of balls in the air.

She manages my calendar, scheduling appointments, changing appointments, and yes, confirming appointments. And she does a hell of a good job at it. For a writer, this time Carole wasn't very observant of the written word -- because in Shawna's confirmation message, she introduced herself at the beginning, and her title, Executive Assistant to Heather Thomson, is clearly written in the signature of her emails. If I don't include Shawna on my calendar, I end up double booked, and it messes things all up.

It was actually funny, to see that moment, knowing all too well who at that table does not go into an office daily, or work at all, who has several nannies, and who has hired assistants/interns since that lunch. . .not to mention what they have those assistants doing. Hee hee hee. But, as my mom always says, don't judge another until you've walked a mile in their shoes.

After Ramona apologized to me about her reaction to my dad, I invited her for drinks to see if she was sincere? I thought inviting her to drinks would be a sort peace offering if you will.

If she is sincere, it may be an opportunity for a fresh start, and I am open to it. We all have issues. This is life. But in life it's about the quid pro quo, the give and take. Sharing is a way of learning about others and that what we do best as women. With Ramona, I find it's just all about Ramona, and that's okay too. But instead of trying to turn things around, Ramona comes in loaded with ammunition against me. After her intimate lunch with the girls, Ramona has to start in. . .

First, she accuses me of not getting back to her. Moments later, she acknowledges I've responded twice saying I will get back to her. Who can keep up with it!? I was stuck trying to recall the info in my mind (which was an exchange that went on over the course of one week BTW), and I am looking at her in disbelief -- that she would stir the pot again and over nothing! I had just gotten a new Blackberry that day so I could not figure out how to search for the exchange, but ya know what? Who cares? It is not worth it. Note to self: Be sure to tell Shawna to forget about trying to reschedule my original plans. No way am I going to her award ceremony.

I don't hold anything against Ramona, she is just not my cup of tea. I will continue to be friendly and cordial, and we have mutual friends, but it would be disingenuous to invite her on a trip overseas since, as you all can see, we just don't groove. I think in fact, everyone might enjoy a respite from the Ramona-coaster.

I am ready for your advice so keep those tweets and emails coming I love reading your feedback.

And, of course you can learn more about me and my shapewear business at YummieLife.com, HeatherThomson.net, Facebook, and Twitter!

Thanks for watching! See you next week!
xx. Heather
