Doggone It, People Like Me

LuAnn holds her head up amidst the ladies' chatter.

By Luann de Lesseps

Welcome back my friends. After an episode like this week's, I need to remember Stuart Smalley's affirmation that "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me!" Remember, if you can't laugh at yourself, you can't laugh with others.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Peacock and catch up on the Bravo app

It's annoying to see Carole talk about me behind my back, and I wonder why she never confronts directly. Funny, I don't ever remember being condescending to Carole in London, do you? What does a girl have to do to be friends with Carole? I can't seem to win no matter what I do. Even though Carole and I have different personalities, I hope we can find a middle ground as time goes on.

There's something a little creepy about Aviva setting up Sonja with her sex addict father. That's like saying, I'd like to set you up with my brother who has a little shoplifting problem but you like to shop, right? Weird.

Even though Ramona drives me crazy sometimes, I've never completely disliked her. I think her situation with Heather has made her realize that, while we might not always get along, at least she knows where I'm coming from and what's on my mind. We have a certain amount of respect for each other even when we don't agree.

When we had Ramona blindly test her own wine, it was to have fun, not to embarrass her. She analyzed her wine perfectly and that says a lot about the effort she's put in to her product. She had a good time at the party and it wasn't until Mario and the Dreschers got her all worked up that she felt like we did something wrong.

Ramona Knows Her Wines

Aviva has the right to invite whoever she likes to her home in Miami and space is always a consideration when hosting overnight guests. I think that Aviva considered this a family trip rather than a girls' trip and she shouldn't have to defend her travel plans to us or to anyone.

Designers lend us all dresses for photos shoots and it's a win-win situation so I was surprised to hear that Carole disapproved of me mentioning to Naeem that I'd be interested in wearing one of his dresses. What people didn't see is that, I really hit it off with the Khans and that Naeem was happy to let me borrow a dress for a photo shoot. I did purchase jewelry from Ranjana and I love her jewelry collection.

So my friends, as Stuart advises, I'm going to "trace it, face it, and erase it."

Bisous!
