As the Stomach Turns

Sonja gives her take on Ramona/LuAnn's tiff, explains her tough couple of years, and talks GLAAD awards.

Welcome back to hurricanes, harassment, and hot guys. . .and heavy on the hot guys!

Here comes Countess LuAnn smirkin' with a Birkin (Hermes purse)! It really pains me to see LuLu and Ramona still arguing about the supposed threat. I care about them both, and it's not healthy for them or their families and this comment was made so long ago. As we heard in Reunion Season 4, Ramona apologized for her comment that LuAnn was a weekend mom, because it was wrong. I asked Ramona not to got there, but she had to get it off her chest for some reason at that particular point and time. They threw me out of the conversation when I tried to break it up. They have always had an undercurrent that is actually bigger then what they are talking about.

When Ramona feels her words are challenged she feels she has to defend her integrity with the facts. Ramona had told Lu, "If you keep bringing it up I will have to bring out the particulars regarding your parenting, so don't push me. Drop it." Does this constitute a threat?

Ramona's comment was that LuAnn was a weekend mother, not a bad mother. Still, Ramona should have never gone there. I still wish Luann would let it go. It's all getting old. You gotta laugh when Ramona vacillates and says "I don't have time for this! I don't even have time for my nails. I get these shellacks now. They last three weeks!" Okay, so now we have time for petty fights with our girlfriend! You can always count on us Housewives for comic relief at just the right time.

I really see myself in Carole at times. I like fashion, but I don't like shopping. So if that boy walked in the store, you can be sure that my eyes would be all over that. I so get the long distance relationship that Carole is speaking of. When you're dating a rock star, it's not about commitment and marriage. Let's be realistic -- he's on the road. They make great boyfriends though! I agree with her 100 percent. It's very sexy to miss each other and appreciate the time that you do have together. When Carole's ready for a commitment again, she'll be on the same coast as her man.

I have been through some really hard times for the last seven to eight years between a miscarriage of my second child, a divorce, a failed movie deal, becoming a single mom, lack of settlement in my divorce, and the possibility of losing my home, so when Hurricane Irene paid a visit in August and the repairs didn't start until November, you gotta laugh or you'll cry! I have learned as a child of a single mother who worked and supported four young children to take things in stride, enjoy the moment and the people around you who are helping you get through the day the best you can and helping you to building a future that you can be proud of. Sometimes that's your intern, your contractor, your contractor's brother, the gay decorator. . .I think you see that in this scene.

Oh, and we still don't have a boxspring for the bed, but this way we know Millsaps will roll out of that bed before 10 am because interns do not move to New York from the Carolinas to miss out on all the fabulous attractions New York City has to offer. Millsaps has not gotten her boob reduction because there's no time for that right now -- too much work to do and sadly she'll be leaving us in August. After she finishes her Masters degree, she's going to come back to do another stint with us because she learned so much here in the world of "As The Stomach Turns."

When I see Heather's house in the Berkshires, it says to me that she is a secure woman with good upstate values like myself and Ramona. She does not need a house in the Hamptons to know that she belongs. I'm looking forward to getting to know her more. Having said that, it's going to be a bumpy ride because she is strong minded and very opinionated just like Ramona and I.

I was just saying this with Ramona today again at PIX 11: The green rooms are NEVER green! Why is that?

I was so happy to be presenting at GLAAD with my dear friends the fabulous Beekman Boys who have moved from Planet Green to the Cooking Channel. They only live a block away, and Dr. Brent comes over all the time to cook his family recipes with me in my toaster oven! You'll be seeing more of them with me on future episodes.

It's too bad that my escort's earwire thingy wasn't working because he didn't know that they were calling me to come up! But as I said I learn to roll with things. This is not the end of the world for me. The show must go on.

Thank you for tuning in again and getting to know the new girls and their families. It's going to be an exciting season!
