I can't tell you how indispensable a bidet is. I have them in all my homes. They are terrific for hand-washing items, and you don't have to occupy your sink while soaking your baby clothes or lingerie. I never put swimsuits or delicates in the washer. Then there is the obvious reason! Last but not least, I find it fantastic for tightening and refreshing the face when jet lagged, tired, or hungover. Beats the old Preparation H trick! I have a lot of tips at my old age. Believe me!
The Sherlock "cape caper" cracks me up. First, I don't particularly like the look on either girl! There, I said it! One of Charles Caleb Colton's most famous quotes. . ."Imitation is the sincerest [form] of flattery" he said this is because it is not based on art. So it must be sincere. People are not necessarily aware they are doing it. I always try to emulate those I admire. Pamela Harriman, Coco Chanel, Wallis Simpson, Jean Harlow, Diana Vreeland. I look to role models to get through tough times and to reach my own lofty goals. I was quoted recently saying I will be bigger than Bethenny. You have to dream. If you know how to visualize or meditate you can go far in life.
I LOVE YOU SONJA! your literally my favorite, you always put a smile on my face, you and ramona continue keeping it real. XO
You are my favorite person on the show. I love your free spirit! You have a kind heart and seem to be the one who everyone likes and can get along with. I just think you are so cool. You can let so much roll off instead of getting all upset, even at times when you could. Ramona was so rude to you and you just let it go b/c you know that's how she is. I just wanted you to know i think your a great person Sonja. I know you can toughen up when you have to, from seeing clips of upcoming episodes maybe we will be seeing that?
I always enjoy your whitty fun behaviour. You are such an individualist. But I have to say that the group you hired for the anniversary party was a new low. How inappropriate they were. The whole party seem to lack Sonja's touch. I think the trip to London should not have happened for you and more concentration on party planning with hands on from you would have been better. With that in mind, I still find you refreshing and an asset to the show.
I feel so sorry for Aviva and Reid, other than the sweet reading of their toasts to each other, the party was awful!! The venue was great, but there was no food or service fo the cake. The music was so horribly inappropriate for this couple and anyone that had met them for 5 mins would know that. What were you thinking? Cell phones work in London and you could have spent more time preparing for this party, especially since its a new business venture and being filmed for TV!
If the people who hire you to plan a party request a sit-down meal and the venue is not able to accomodate that request, then it is the wrong venue. Cut and dried, plain and simple. It really is not rocket science. If I had been Aviva and Reid, I would not have been happy with that party. The food was not what they asked for and the entertainment sucked.
Remember who is paying the bills next time.
Toaster oven idea: flame some jalepenos in it, let cool, slice and serve in large cup of V8, some drops of tobasco, lime slice, 4 large olives speared to a celery stick. At least u can use the toaster for a cocktail. :)
Oh Sonja ! That entertainment for Avivas party. WOW THEY WERE TERRIBLE ! And thats being kind. Oh so very bad.
People, hie yourselves to the Millionaire Matchmaker site and find the episode in which a shallow-but-harmless doofus named Jimmy D is set up on a date with our very own Cara Quici. He wanted someone hot, but he forgot to specify "... and free of any major mental problems." Watch as Cara drinks Champagne and loses her marbles, and JImmy D begins to learn that a woman's personality might just matter after all.
I think you're the best! You're so light, funny, fun and saucy! You're so entertaining to watch.
I didn't like you tons last season; it seemed like they put you just *with* Ramona, that you had no oomph on your own or something.
This season though, so far so wonderful! I am really liking the Sonja portions of the show. I like them showing you do your day to day thing. You seem to be able to give everyone a true chance, without cutting words or catty behavior and I really am enjoying that.
Kudos to you lady! I also wish you success in your business things. I think I will even splurge and by your toaster oven when it comes available!
LOVE you!!! Even more than my old favorite Bethanny. I've watched all seasons and loved Bethanny but I had to (for the first time) comment to let you know you are flawless. The epitome of a woman. I could compliment so much about you but that would take forever. While watching I thought to myself if your ex was watching this he would fall in love with you all over again. Who isn't?! XO!
Sonja, don't quit your day job! I don't think the "Party Planner" industry is for you...
Sonja, Sonja, Sonja!!!! I absolutely love your resiliance and You are such a hoot I think you are the reason I watch this season!! BTW if you would like a 39 yr old wife and mom of a 6 and 4 1/2 yr old from MI... Call me!!! ;)
Sonja, You are the best. Clever, glam and so very funny. 'Can't wait for the toaster oven and the cookbook!!!
I'm sorry but what we were you thinking with the entertainment at Aviva's anniversary party, there were horrible!! lol!
It is one thing to use a personal bidet from your own home to do with as you fit however the bidet from that episode was one in a public facility upon which complete strangers have used for only God knows what. I think that is extremely disgusting to splash water on your face from it! You seem like a very nice woman however I often times question your common sense. You are trying to get a business off the ground and you opted to traipse off to London when you really should have been focusing on Aviva's celebration with the free advertising you'd garner with being on a television series. Think a little bit, Sonja.
Sonja, I felt that the venue was very busy, but aviva liked it so good for her! I felt the party was really thrown together quickly, the yellow roses clashed (and r for friendship). No food service, no cake cutting. It seemed more about the show and not avivia and Reid, but Ramona was her old mean girl spoil the party self, so immature. I would think that u would say something to them both? The music, r u kidding, giving a newbie a big break, I hope she was free as it was so painful to watch. I hope at your next event, things go better for you!
How does one eat a "passed" entree? They sound lovely, but can they be eaten while standing?
The party was lovely....and you are lovely. When you spoke at the dinner in London, you did it so beautifully. I was surprised to see you all included at a business dinner as part of the yummy team. You are grace under fire....love you!
Yum! The food sounds delicious, wish they would have shown it! You're so gracious and loyal Sonja. I love how you own who you are and you're not afraid to make fun of yourself. You exude confidence without being arrogant.
For crying out loud, why on earth do you needs interns, you can't pay them, hellooo. Do the job yourself, everyone knows you have money problems, so stop pretending to be rich, be real.
Actually Sonya you are doing better this year. Not such an air head. And I was glad you did not perpetuate the Ramona vs Heather ordeal. You have truly stayed out of it and so far let it slide by you.
Sonja, I totally loved when you said that if you didn't tolerate certain types of behavior from Ramona, you wouldn't be friends. I have some of those friends too. They have big hearts and bad heads, but us Sagittarians like to mix it up a bit. If we don't illuminate the good in everyone, who will?
Aloha Sonja, greetings from California! you really brought a smile to my face with the Musical artists at Aviva and husbands party. so glad to see someone else who takes all kinds of supplements and vitamins( i thought i was a nut...Ha ha) your really cool and down to Earth in so many ways hope to see ya on tv alot more.. God bless ya
Wow all that food and we did not see anyone eating, just Ramona and Heather arguing. The bidet part was funny but hey is duable. I think that Luann is jealous of Carole, because of her ties with the Kennedy's, being a princess (not constantly throwing her title) and overall a woman who has achieved more than 2 songs and a etiquette book, who at times she does not follow. The entertainment portion I would say that could have been different but it was nice...
I'm not sure where you found the entertainment on last night's show for the anniversary celebration but it seemed inappropriate to say the least and the guests looked uncomfortable.
It took me a few seasons to like you BUT now I love you. You always look for the good in people. I love that about you and no matter what is going on you always have a good time.
Sonja, always fun watching you. You need to stay away from Luann. You know how she was at last years reunion show. She was a beast. You are fun and free. Stay with Ramona and Carol and AVIA. OH, STAY AWAY FROM HEATHER. Have a great summer.
I used to like you for your flakiness and fun loving personality. But last night...I saw a very devious side to you. It seemed to me you purposely made the party a flop. I feel really bad for Aviva that she was naive enough to trust you to plan her special event and you abused that. Obviously it is because your jealous of her due to your past relationship with her ex. It was a stupid move though because I don't know who in there right mind would ever hire you now to plan their event when it clearly shows you don't know what your doing or that you are not professional enough to separate personal emotions and business.
Honestly, Sonya, I love you to death, and only a couple of the others, but that performance was HORRIBLE! I could care less that it was tacky, or sexual blah, blah, blah. Too much for the Uptown crowd? OK for the Downtown crowd? It was just sooooooo bad!!!! But everything else seemed great!!!
You have the perfect venue to showcase your business (the RHONY show) and you failed to direct the guests to help showcase it! No one was seen eating your food or commenting on how wonderful everything tasted. The only thing that was shown was the God awful talent(less) that you hired. Believe me, their lack of enthusiasm for her bad singing had nothing to do with where they're from. It was a bad act according to anyone. If you're going to outdo Bethenny, you've got a hell of a lot of work ahead of you...and common business sense.
The entertainment at Aviva's party was a bit off for Aviva but not Sonja. It pushed people out of their comfort zones. Sonja, I am so relieved that you did not react to Romana's reacton of being
excluded from the England trip. She waned mutany. She needed to sit down with Heather alone and discuss her feelings. Maybe if Heather had told her about her concerns about inappropriate commets Romona could possibly say during her business activities that would shut her up (but not Romona!). She had that problem when Jill worked for Polaroid.
Eventuallyrepated mistakes should hit an "Ah HAH" moment.
Love Sonja!!!! But I really don't think she knows what a bidet is used for. Why would anyone stick their face where your a&& is supposed to go? It would be like taking a sponge bath in a toilet. She can use it for whatever she wants but it still is a butt cleaner.
HBeez The bidet facial was yucky, but she must be doing something right-- her complexion is lovely.
Oh Sonja..........you BOMBED terribly on your 1st party planning event!!!!! It was difficult to watch........especially the entertainment!!!! And I have to agree w/Heather.......where was the food to go along w/all the alcohol?!?! I saw a few shrimp cocktails & the cake, but that was it!!!!
This episode was defininetly entertaining! I was laughing at Carole's attempt to mess with Luann's one-upping. I can't believe Luann didn't "get it." lol That conversation was so ridiculous. I would be pretty annoyed too if everything I said, someone replied with "well I did this" instead of a comment or question about my experience. Real friends don't do that.
Also, the entertainment was ridiculous! Aviva and Reid were very gracious not to get mad about that. I would have been upset. But, I have no doubt you can and will throw fabulous parties. That was just a hiccup.
Sonja, your ability to laugh at yourself and not take anything too seriously is seriously needed on this show. A breath of fresh air you are, as always.
