Luann D'Agostino: Instead of Fighting It, I Let Sonja Have a Little Smooch

Luann's hangover wasn't stopping her from taking on yoga, surfing, and, yup, more tequila.

Sonja's Straight, but When She Drinks...

It takes more than a little hangover to stop me from working out on a beautiful Mexican morning! In fact, yoga with Dorinda was just what the doctor ordered after falling into a bush... and emerging without a scratch! When Bethenny offered a surfing lesson to us, I figured, why not? I’m always up for anything, and I felt so much better after being in the ocean. They say Vitamin Sea is the best medicine, and I agree. Sometimes you just have to surf it off.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Peacock and catch up on the Bravo app

Ramona was laying on the charm with Bethenny trying to get on her good side and it worked! We had such a good time shopping together, and for sixty pesos, Ramona bought a lot of love with those burlap bags. After shopping and lunch, we went back to the villa to relax before dinner out that night. Dorinda always comes through in awkward moments, whether it is with a joke or a fun gift. I loved my mug and the sentiment behind it. We ended up having a fun dinner, and everyone packed it in early for the flight out to Tequila the next morning.

Bethenny said before our excursion, it’s like a “tequila cotillion,” so we’d better be good... and we were! Everyone boarded a helicopter without incident, and Ramona somehow got on while blindfolded. She really did look like a bad MTV commercial from the 80s! When we arrived in the town of Tequila, our reception was amazing. The native dancers were terrific, and the little boys with roses were too cute. Drinking tequila out of a horn was a new experience, and I was really surprised how smoothly it all went down. It was such high quality liquor that we felt buzzed but not drunk. Perfect.

Every time Sonja gets hammered on our trips, she kisses me! Instead of fighting it, I let her have a little smooch, which seems to satisfy her enough to leave me alone. As for Sonja bringing up Ramona’s divorce, I agree with Ramona that what’s done is done. We should learn from the past but look towards the future. Ramona, in spite of her quirks, knows that moving forward is always the best solution.

Until next week, Namaste!
