Bethenny Frankel Surprised Some Drive-Thru Employees at the Window — and it Was Priceless

The Real Housewives of New York City mogul offered some unsolicited advice at Starbucks.

Bethenny Frankel stays prepped with sensible snacks on standby so she can eat healthy — and mostly vegan — when she's on the road fulfilling the duties of her nonstop life as a multi-multi-multi-hyphenate. And now she's found a new way of staying nourished on the fly — and The Real Housewives of New York City pal is pretty psyched on her latest discovery.

What's the newfangled convenience Bethenny just got on board with? Well, it's the Starbucks drive-through window. And while its very existence wouldn't shock most millennials, Bethenny is of a different generation, whose constituents came of age when the concept was much more limited.

Bethenny shared a glimpse into her revelation on her Instagram Stories, where she revealed her shock-slash-thrill as she rolled through the tricked-out Starbucks drive-through, with its digital menus. "Look at this s---," she captioned the clip.

"This is so exciting — I never did this before," she narrated.

Reaching the speaker, Bethenny delivered her order: "Ok, alright, I’ll have a matcha almond milk latte with a third hot water, please."

Next, she rolled up to the window and greeted the employee face to face. Doing a quick double take, the barista appears to recognize Bethenny — and cracks a big, warm, surprised smile.

And that's when Bethenny started dropping some knowledge on the youngster: "You know, back in my day, McDonalds was the only drive-through window. And Jack in the Box. And Burger King. So this is pretty modern for old ladies like me."

The employee is then joined by another in the window, and Bethenny continues her work of schooling the whippersnappers. "How old are you?" she asks. "I’m not hiring you, so I’m allowed to ask that. So you girls are like in your 20s? Younger than 20?"
Their faces don't register where she's going with this...

"Back in my day," she adds. "We used plastic straws!"

So old school, Bethenny. Kids these days — including 30something Khloe Kardashian — are way strawless.
