I feel that you have the most caring attitude and are more genuine and out of all the housewives the New York women seem to be more caring as you all do more charity work than the others. I'm just now getting around to reading your blogs....didn't know what a blog was until a few days ago.... I've just read your book, and I think it's the best book on lifelong weight management available. You are definitely my favorite housewife...you always make me laugh out loud.

I do, however, find it surprising that you were so easy on Tamra and Vicki, and not because of their treatment of Gretchen, but of their high school mean girl treatment of Lynne, who, though is admittedly not very exciting, seems very sweet. I found it hard to believe they could be so mean to her.

The NJ show will make all of the women on all of these shows look like kittens!! They seemed to choose the trashiest women in NJ for this new show.. I find it insulting, being from South Jersey. North Jersey is another world in itself.. the "suburbs" of NYC, actually.. "Sopranos Gone Wild"... BIG hair, BIGGER mouths and Bad taste.. to say the least. They will make NeNe, Ramona, Tamra, Vicki, etc., look like little teddy bears.. Kim (from Atlanta) looks "classy"/conservative next to the NJ cast. I don't know how long I will be able to watch/listen to the drone/"Fran Dresher" voices of the NJ women... and I grew up in NJ... but never had to deal with women like this... maybe one or two... but, these women are scary!!!

I love the Housewives show and never miss an episode. I live in the Midwest and I see a huge difference between the NYC and OC housewives.

NYC housewives= more intelligient, ambitious/career savy (except for Vicki), less makeup, less cosmetic work, more designer clothing, education for children is more imp't, more stressful, concerned with what other people think, more serious, husbands are more businessmen-like, men treat them with more respect, handle conflict with people by conversation, do other activities other than partying, less divorced?, etc..

OC housewives= more ditzy, more flirty, not into designers like NYC hw, more into home property value, less charity involved, big hair/makeup, more relaxed, party more, relaxed in childrens discipline, more selfish, talk behind people's back instead of confronting issue at hand, etc...

Am I crazy for seeing the difference? How do we want society to view women???????? I'd rather be like Bethenney!!! Bethenney may not be married with implants, but people respect her. And it's STILL GOOD TV!!!!! Bravo doesn't need drama for people to watch. Be careful on what type of women we want to represent America.

We hope that the Tamra bashing by bloggers will be over soon, now that the recent news have printed the truth about Gretchen's lies. There was a nice letter posted the other day by Jeff's ex. wives, Sharon, telling the truth about her children and their relationship with Gretchen. Today, the results of that Jay guy's 2 polygraph tests were posted showing that he was telling the truth about Gretchen. So, hopefully, now, people will stop trashing and saying such mean things about Tamra and her family. It wasn't Tamra's fault that Gretchen lied and the cast on the OC wives had to keep quiet and , in turn, THEY had to "lie" by pretending all season that Gretchen was sincere in her engagement/faithfulness to Jeff and his kids while the poor man lie in the ICU> don't care if he agreed to..or let her do it for TV.. if so, they were both wrong and it was very hurtful to his kids, the show, and the cast of the OC Wives... Why should all of them had to lie and suffer to make Gretchen look like the cutesy/innocent fiancee? A LOT of people were HURT by Gretchen's lies..

READ the very good letter written by Jeff's ex. wife, Sharon, posted today on the "Reality Tea" site. She talks about the whole Gretchen/Jeff saga and she also comments on how she thought Tamra was brave to expose Gretchen's lies even though Tamra knew she would, and has had to, take tons of Backlash from speaking out.

Bethenney: Thanks for giving me something to smile and laugh about. Some people who don't live in NY may not get the NYC Housewives personalities and how witty and just as easily sharp and able to rip somebody up with a single comment. What a great sample of life in the most eclectic melting pot in the world.
Bethenney congrats on your magazine cover, you are what real life is all about for a woman trying to be successful
in NYC. Be careful though, us so called strong and witty women are targets for gossip and mean comments. As strong as we have to be on the outside, we do hurt and are sensitive which most people dont realize about us. You have the been hurt in the past and that makes you vulnerable and people like to take shots at anyone they see has talent and beauty, it's like people prop themselves up by taking cheap shots, trying to knock you down. Don't stop doing what you are doing, its working and you will have the things in life that you need the most. I hope that you have one good friend who you can allow yourself to be open and show your weakness to. I read some of the comments viewers wrote above, didnt bother reading once I saw the tone of the blog, its a shame that women cant be supportive to each other and get past all that name calling and envy, we need each other and wont make it in this world as long as we get our kicks taking pot shots at people like Bethenney, instead of congratulating her success, witt and natural beauty, as women we remain in the dark ages looking for that white knight to ride in with his diamond Rolex. ^5 B

it's funny how you found the OC dull bc i find the NY housewives duller.
For some reason you guys seem to have a permanet stick up your ass. I just don't understand why everything you guys talk about has to be in "surround sound" you would think everyone in NY was 80 and freaking deaf!
I would much rather sit back and watch the OC(cali being a place i've lived and loved) where the women are layed back and down to earth and much much better dressers then watch everyone in NY looking as if they were going to a funeral, with let's not forget! the giant stick up their butts!

I have to laugh because in your so called circle of friends they are "wowed" and strickingly "shocked" by all your "ISMS". The thing is most of your "isms" have been around for many,many years. "check yourself before you wreck yourself" "oh no you didn't" " I don't play that" it's comical to my friends and I. In fact I recommend we have an old drinking game..for every old "ism" you use on every episode we must take a drink/shock so maybe we could actually find them funny again . If someone owned the rights to those old sayings..then you'd be in court everyweek. Come on, tell the truth, do you own the urban dictionary of street language/sayings? I think you just might? lol

Boy has this show been an eye opener. I am a Mid Ohio housewife with a lot of good friends , money and fun. We do seem to lack one aspect of all your lives, it is called envy.
You seem to all ! lack the most basic aspect of being a well off, successful women of today's world, morals.

I hope you stop focusing on other people and what is wrong with them and start focusing on yourself.
Please try to find positive things in other people because this constant trashing of Lynne and Gretchen shows such a negative side.
I don't live my life filled with negativity and am disappointed to see women so judgemental and harsh with each other.
No one is perfect and every time you point a finger you have three pointing back at yourself. (The thumb in not a finger in case anyone thinks I'm missing a digit)

Don't listen to these stupid people who actually believed the whole "fake" Gretchen saga and her making Tamra look mean/jealous. Tamra's the only smart one who pulled the plug on Gretchen's "fake" sympathy ploy to get attention/cry those fake tears and act (better then Anna Nicole ever did) by dragging Jeff's kids,5 ex. wives, and the cameras in on her every move. But, anyone with a brain had her number, including Tamra, Vicki, and, in the end, even Jeana fessed up to her facade with the boyfriend.. his clothes on her bedroom floor...She's been a total fake since episode one, just a good enough actress to fool the foolish with her "beauty", fake nice tears, etc., while she spent the man's money and dragged his kids into the awful cameras to make her look good/ "need a break" to go out and flirt with any man who would look/party, drink, have burlesque parties, buy sex toys, and spend money on clothes, bling, motorcycles, gym ownerships, a bigger house (episode one), spas, and act "dumb" in Vegas, when talking about "the will", etc., etc. So, before anyone blames Tamra, or you blame Bethenny for not thinking Tamra's so "dumb"/jealous, look back at Gretchen...She ruined the whole season with her fake story and for making the cast look mean/jealous.. These ladies were probably biting their tongues every week when they had to work with this fake vamp and what she was doing to Jeff and his kids for her own fame/glory/ TV time... I was appalled from episode one when I saw that they put a woman like Gretchen on this show.. I immediately saw how awful it would be for Jeff's family and how gross it was to air someone's illness for the fame/glory of some young, obviously gold digging woman. What a poor role model for young women!!!!!!!! And, the sad thing is... so many people fell for her story!!! I just couldn't believe it and I sympathize for the people who still defend her actions/behavior, especially people who have actually had to deal with loved ones with cancer.

Oh bethany you were doing so great until you figured out Tamara will be blogging about you and your upcoming shows sooooo you turned nice so she won't be "mean" to you- You HAD me till then- she was awful at the reunion show and you know it- you sold out to get the heat off your as*. Bethenny, I've watched the NY version of this show. Being a 'real housewife' in Westchester County and a NYer, you're the only one in the cast that has any degree of reality. Seriously, when we get into the royalty / former model / socialite things it starts to get rather nauseating & is very far removed from anything that 99% of us here know to be real.

Bethenny, You are my favorite housewife, of OC and NY combined. To me, if it weren't for you, NY wouldn't have a chance. Frankly, watching the other NY housewives, eventually makes one want to vomit.

I love how you are accomplished, yet simply normal. You own yourself, admitting your assets and flaws. You stand up for yourself, as well as others, and say what needs to be said right then and there. Sometimes, that's not an easy thing to do: to come up with just the right thing to say at that precise moment...but, you do it often.

Not sure I'll be watching NY this season...if I do, it will be with one eye, and if you enter the scene, I'll tune in. I'm sure it will be enough to catch up on the whole enchilada.

It's about time they are finally posting some of the truth/comments about Gretchen's fake story. Many of us have felt this from the start and all we ever read were the "poor Gretchen" comments falling for her story!! Tamra is the only one who has had the guts to speak up.. You called it with Vicki, Jeanna and Tamra; they are the heart of the OC cast. I don't find Gretchen or Lynne to be particularly genuine or interesting. I also think Gretchen is the one clogging up the comment boxes because I cannot imagine that she has that many fans. People who are that fake do not garner that much sympathy which is why she has to holler and cackle every time she sees a camera near her.
OK New York, let's see some class! A little east coast seems very refreshing after what we went through on the left coast the past few months.

Wow... Can't wait to hear your take on the OC reunion show!! It was amazing to see that Tamra is the only one with the guts to call out Gretchen on the fake story she pulled with her Jeff story/exposure of his poor family to get all of the attention from the rest of the cast this season. Many of us saw through her dumb. blond Barbie act from episode one... but, so many young fans fell for it and it changed the tone of the whole cast and story lines for the entire season. She never belonged on this show. She was closer in age to their own daughters and I am sure they felt uncomfortable being forced to befriend this girl. How would they have felt if their daughters came home with a very ill 60+ yr. old man? I didn't blame them for being suspicious of her. But, Gretchen made it worse by being so loud/attention seeking/such a flirt and constantly having to stick her "real" boobs, butt in everyone's face, steal the cameras every episode that she made them look mean/jealous. Then, the "dumb fox", would start with the crocodile tears and gain the sympathy of all by crying over how hard her life was caring for Jeff.. in between shopping sprees...?? It was awful/sad to watch his kids and his poor health being filmed while she was dressed for the bunny mansion and spending his money every other episode. But, she got away with it by putting on that cheerleader smile, or crying, and excusing all of her behavior on "needing to get out" and acting like the victim of the girls who didn't believe or accept this facade. I don't think Tamra and Vicki would have had such a mean streak this season has they kept the cast with women of appropriate age and real housewifes/mothers/career women instead of that awful gold digging role model, Gretchen. It worries me that many young fans fell for this story and thought she was so hot/sweet, that they didn't think there was anything wrong with using an old, rich, ill man for the money/fame...and still flirting/hanging all over other men while she was supposedly so in love with/engaged to Jeff. What does that tell young women to search for in a man?

Bethenny, It bugs me when you "cut" Alex and Simon for being at the Social Life party, saying, "of coarse any party called the Social Life party Alex and Simon would be at." You're there too, HELLO! Why do you have to be so critical of others? Can't you just be secure enough with yourself to let others be who they really are?

Whatever transpired between Gretchen and the five-times-married-but-still-held-onto-his-fortune-Jeff is their business. The relentless attacks and nastiness towards Gretchen by Vicki and Tamra (who were each also very cruel to Lynne, treating her as an outcast) shocked most viewers, and the blog comments and emails sent to Andy Cohen, if the previews can be believed, were overwhelmingly critical of your 'girls' Vicki and Tamra.

You are not being a smart girl, or an urban-tough cool girl, or wittily contrarian by aligning your sympathies with people that conspire to make others feel like garbage. You're way too long in the tooth, in the face and in the implants to honestly believe differently. It gives credence to the majority commenters here who are speculating that you, like your 'girls,' have envy issues. Please grow up.

I believe that all the OC Housewives are like any other group of women who come together for one reason or other and happen to do what women do best, critic one another to no avail. With your own character and personality, comes the way you leave a signature. Each housewife has done this. So, like them or hate them, we hope to remember this is television and entertaining to watch. I look forward to the new season of New York - Alex and Simone are a bit odd but play great characters!

Wow... so now your season is starting, so it's "make nice" time with the ladies huh? Because it's their turn to blog? Hmmmm. Normally I love your blogging, but I definitely disagree with this one. I loved the ending to this episode with everyone back together. Regardless of if Gretchen truly loved her fiance or not, Vicki was mean and spineless when it came to making fun of her purse gift--I truly think Gretchen wanted to make friends with those girls, and not everyone would spend too much on a Rolex for themselves. Gretchen is intelligent and beautiful, and obviously you're jealous as well---yep, one can look young and gorgeous without fake boobs and anorexia, Bethany. Which is how you looked in the first episode back. You obviously work out, but your face looks skeletal and drawn (and OLDER) because you need to eat something. You look way too skinny, not attractive.

I agree with the thoughts on Jeana, though. Hopefully she appreciates that you'll be sending her your "get anorexic" book though....

I love ya Bethenny, but Girl Please. Whatever arrangement Gretchen may have had with her late fiancé was between them. Tacky Tamra and Porcine Vicki were so envious of her it was palpable. I'm mad you're making me stick up for Gretchen, but let's call a spade a spade. She's young and gets the kind of attention they'll never get again so they sip their Hater-Ade and talk s--t about her all day like the aging, leathery, straw-haired Mean Girls they are. I love to read your blog and also very excited about the new NY season. I am a little confused on how Tamra could be a favorite of yours? I think she is self-absorbed, self centered and fake!!! She cannot stand having her spotlight taken away. How could you miss the white trash family reunion dinner? Tamra just had to squeeze her breast together and give the chef a "show" and then her creepy cousin hitting on Ryan, who by the way reminds me of a troll or some character from the Lord of the Rings movies. Ok, maybe I am being a little harsh, but Tamra is not someone I would ever want in my circle of friends, she is not trust worthy and has more hurtful things to say about every one.
