Where to begin. I am your bigest fan. I just commented Tamara's blog with my view on her behalf, but that is a different story. Put simply, you are eveyrthing she wishes she was. You are truley beautiful and some just can't accept that others are betther then them, and Tamara is one of those. I hope you life your life not letting anything that has been said about you affect you. The tact it took to not attack Tamara at dinner when she insulted you shows your true, graceful character. I truly find it hard to believe that you really loved Jeff! You really loved the money. I am embarrassed for your parents and family. You may have the looks but you are trashy. I'm still not quite sure why you are on the show.....you aren't even a housewife!

You can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl. She is just insanely jealous of you. She looks like a washed up hag. I do not know how you do it, even being around her makes MY skin crawl. Do not ever forgive her, she is a venomous cobra!

I just wanted to say that during the premier when you were at the beach missing Jeff, I had to cry also as I miss my father that I lost recently. It is really hard and no one knows what that is like. Tamara is a very jealous, insecure person and if your own Daddy doesn't really want you, then who can you expect would. Her son is going to jail and her husband hates her. Of course, the pretty, younger woman is going to be an ultra threat to her. Why she and Vicki spend so much time gossiping and worrying about what you do only solidifies the fact that they are super jealous. Hope your life gets better!!!

Vicki and that horrible Tamra are two of the most un-classy, jealous, old, not happy women ever! Keep being you in all your beauty and charisma! Show those broads who the hottest housewife is and laugh all the way home!

First off-- like Gretchen has said, not many people could possibly understand the heartache she endured when she lost Jeff. And hopefully, for most of us we will not have to deal with that at such a young age and in the eye of the public. Gretchen, you are a beautiful woman and deserve to do the things that make you happy. I loved the first episode tonight and think it was about time that you put Tamara in her place! She is definatly not the hottest housewife anymore! You only live once and Jeff would want you to be happy, I say to forget about those who scruntinize and move on with your life! I don't like that people are so harsh with you. It's not like all the other "Housewives" on your shows or elsewhere in America have actually "earned" their ways into their mansions and upper crust lifestyles. I believe that you loved Jeff and even if he gave you money to be by him during his last days so what. That would still make you a descent person in my books because you gave a bit of life back to a dying man.

No one is in a relationship and doesn't expect to receive any rewards from the relationship. People always expect to get something from someone else. Whether it sex, love approval, money or companionship it doesn't matter. People are double talking.

It's pretty clear that only "good" things can be posted here. I thought things looked fishy when I first read through it. If you are going to have a blog to tell "your side of the story", you need to be accept "the other side" that doesn't agree with you or like you. In fact, I know many people think you are a gold digging whore and I know they are right. Deep in your heart, you know it too. It's okay to admit, it's the "Im so innocent" act that really pisses people off.

This show is as fake as your face: have you done a good google search lately. Post some of the REAL comments made to you, not just the ones praising you.

I just saw a re-run of the reunion show (season 4) with my husband (he usually never watches the show). We both could not believe how mean and cruel Tamara and Vicki were to you. My husband said that both ladies are jealous because they were so mean to you. I agree. After watching season 4, although Vicki and Tamara were trying to make you look bad, they are the ones that showed their true colors. Vicki thinks way too much of herself, as does Tamara. I think you are beautiful, smart and genuinely nice. You never say anything mean about anyone and you treat everyone fairly. I can't wait for season 5 to begin! Take care!

Gretchen I felt so sorry for you when soem of the other house wives especially Vicky and Tamra started sayin mean things about you, but after seeing the last get together and listening to the story that Tamra told about J and seeing your facial reaction I must say I seems like you were really having a relationship with this J guy.Your facial expression just seems like that of a guilty person that is just trying their best to hide the truth.

My hat goes off to you for all the dedication and devotion you had for Jeff during his time if illness. we all may mistakes but at the same time we need to own up to them. Given what you were going through it would be natural for you to trun to someone for comfort and if that person was J then you could have just said so but not telling the truth just makes it seem like you have so much more to hide than just the relationship between you and J.

The reason Tamra and Vicki can't believe you is that they are too selfish to ever put themselves in a position to care for the well being of someone else over themselves. I currently date an older guy. I'm 24 and he's 37. I was in your situation where at first I wasn't interested, the age, already had children, past relationships, but we can't control who we fall for. We've been together for 5 years and have always been met with judgmental people who can't get passed the age thing. They are always hypocrites, they are always judgmental, and they always lack the intellect to understand and accept. I can only imagine how hard it can be when money is involved and when we only focus on the superficial.

You seem to keep yourself under control even when people hold honest mistakes against you. It's hard when you've moved on and no one else has. I suppose being on housewives is a lot like a job and this is just a case of office politics. Tamra - has the potential to be a great person but has a case of foot in mouth disease and is vindictive, some people can't live without drama and will create it. Vicki is so insecure it isn't even funny and is completely blind to her own faults, she may have strong opinions but that doesn't mean she's smart and being the loudest in the room doesn't make her right. Both these people will never realize their mistakes until they seek the help needed.

Good luck and I am deeply sorry for your loss. If I lost my "old man" I would be losing a part of my soul and you never get that back. Be strong and learn from every adventure you have! :)

I thought that you were strong under very difficilt conditions. I know how hard it is to lose someone and it could not have been easty being such a public person in your time of gried.

I was impressed that you put your life on hold to care for Jeff not knowing if you would get anything from him when he passed. I agree with you, a hospital is not a place to get married.

I don't think you were a good digger at all, just someone misunderstood by the other ladies on the show for the most part. If the rolls had been reversed no one would have made any comments.

I think you are a very strong woman going through a difficult time.

I just seen the reunion show. I missed it the first time it aired but I just wanted to say as I have sat and watched all the episodes it is very clear that Tamara and Vicki are very very envious of you. ( Your a better women then I am. I think I would have smoked Tamara one) You handled yourself very classy at the reunion show. While Tamra let her true colors show (alot of ugliness-wow) It is like you said that you just have to be yourself and eventually everyone is seen for their true colors. I think you are very beautiful, you have a great enthusiastic personality and one of the best laughs I have ever heard. To tell you the truth I liked the show before Tamara came on. Cause the show is getting kind of old at how mean and low she will go to hurt you.
P.S To bravo- I would love to see Tammy and Laurie back on the show and get Tamara off- The shows were better.

I am so sorry for your lost.... I have been watching this show since you came on and i Loved you since the day you aired you have a Free Sprit and i like that about you.
Don't let people judge you for you relationship with Jeff i think that LOVE has not age limit as long as those two people LOVE each other who cares the age difference.

And from talking from experience don't let people just how long you should wait to move on to a new Love and relationship as I was greatly judge for that when my fiance at that time committed suicide and i was judge on how quickly after that tragic loss that i did find Love again and not have been with that person for 12yrs and have 2 wonderful children.
People will judge and talk behind you back but DON'T let that get you down just stand tall and if they really want the WHOLE TRUTH tell them to sit and talk with you before they judge and you will be Amazed and there judgment after that.

Hang in there and life will get easier One day at a time.

Gretchen.....opinions are like...well you know what they say. Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones and judge you if they aren't able to walk in your shoes. You have such a free spirit about you - you are young and attract a great deal of attention and Vicki and Tammy need to get past their insecurities and be greatful for what they have and stop being so jealous of you! As awkward as your relationship with Jeff may seem, you only have to worry about how you feel and how Jeff felt about you....nothing else really matters! I just felt horrible about Jeff and believe me I knew what you were living through on the show too. I lost my husband to a quadruple bypass and his kids from the first marriage were absolutely horrible to me. They thought that I caused his heart attacks. I stood my own ground with no help from a lawyer or anyone and went to court and won everything that was rightfully ours. The trailer, the car, the house and all the insides of the trailer and the house. I knew your situation was so real when I saw it on the screen. I am always praying for people in tough situations. You are always thought of each and every day. I am living for myself these days.

The HGTV show was from 2007.

I just saw Gretchen and Jeff on a landscaping show on HGTV....Jeff sure didn't look very sick to me...They were getting a backyard make-over...What's up with that?...

I have just started to watch the season 4 reruns and was unaware that Jeff had died. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a nice man. You are a courageous lady and you will be okay in time. I enjoy watching you on the show. I started watching the show because I spent my years in California (LA) where my step-parents lived in a gated community (Park Labrea). I now live in Canada, in a rural area (lots of horses).

I thought that your burlesque party idea was great. Where did you get those cool outfits from? I especially like that some of them had feathers. Thanks.

Gretchen, regardless of what others may have called your relationship with Jeff, only you truly knew the truth. Some may speculate that you were with him for his money and others may say you were in it for love. Long as your were happy and you made him happy why is it a concern for others to judge. It seems to me that his kids really did like your in there father's life. You keep on bringing your flavor to the show. Look forward to seeing you in the new season!

Gretchen, I think you handeled yourself as well as anyone could and or can. Losing someone close to you, well it is very hard nomatter who it is. I had a male friend I was very close to, who passed away suddeenly, and it's been many years, and yet, i still think of him often, I still get angry..it lessens, but never goes away. As for those who think of you as, well whatever they think, that is thier opinion and don't really seem to know you very well only you know how you are! don't let anyone ever bring you down, or make you second guess yourself!

Gretchen- You and Jeana are the only reason why me and all my friends watch the show!!! Stay strong and always keep the haters in your prayers. I Love watching you.

i loved you being on the show and no one knows how they would react if they were going through the inevitable death of a loved one and still try to keep on living. my husband died and i had to keep on going for my four kids. it was tough to keep up appearances. only he and i knew how we felt about each other. the outside world can only speculate. I thought you did a great job because his children had the utmost respect for you. That says a lot. God bless you.

You should get out of the lime-light before it destroys you. You appear to have some real class developing and you might need to look closer at that opportunity.

I think you are an amazing person. Even without knowing you personally I can see that you truly loved Jeff. My sisters and I have always been a fan of this show and we can always pick out the gold diggers. No matter what anyone says we know you were not in that relationship only for the money. I do not know if I would ever have had the strength to take care of Jeff the way you did and still manage to stay strong through the entire process. Lastly, I wanted to congratulate you on all of your recent hard work. I'm planning on becoming a social worker when I grow older so I admire you for being such a strong advocate for your charity. I already saw from the show that you have a soft heart but now I know that you've persevered through your grief by making a difference in the world, I've gained an added respect for you. And helping to raise money for cancer research strikes a cord within me because I lost my dad to bone cancer 17 years ago before my fifth birthday.

Anyhow, I wanted to tell you THANK YOU! I lost my beautiful sister to leukemia (berkitt's) and lymphoma. It's been over 20 years since her death but not a day goes by that I don't think about her and how much I truly miss her.
You are truly an inspiration Gretchen and don't let anyone tell you differently!

I loved the episode of Bass Lake, it has been years since I was up there. Bass Lake has changed so much. I lived in Oakhurst for sometime and just LOVE the LAKE.

I'm looking forward to your makeup line and hair product. Cant wait for you and Lynn in Season 4 and then there is the new house wife .... cant wait

As a cancer survivor i understand what Jeff and you were going through...i am married and a father of two. The stresses you go through on a day to day bases is something only people who live it can truly understand. I am sorry for your loss. On a lighter note...I think you are sooo beautiful and unique. I hope maybe you will find an interrest in SLade...I have watched the program from day one and have corresponded via back and forth via email with Mr Slade and i think he truly is a good man and great father. Keep him in mind ;) Hope to see you on the future episodes.

I was extremely shocked to see Tamara's behavior towards you on the Reunion show. I do agree with you in questioning her motives and if she believes everything, anyone tells her? It may be hard for you at first but the best thing you can do is to pray for her. She obviously is lacking in her own self-esteem to attack you as she did. God may have sent you into Tamara's life to teach her how destructive and unbecoming the tongue can be. You can love her as a child of God but refuse to accept her cruel, vicious remarks. I totally miss this show being on Bravo! I could barely take the Wives of NY, I mean "Oh my Gawd" that was just horrible. Any chance there's a reunioun show in the works for these sassy ladies to entertain us for one more season? Although I could really take a LOT less of Tamra and Vicki. Tamra is turning into a solid piece of plastic right before our very eyes and would turn on anyone in a heart beat. Vicki just can't exist without bitching about everything under the sun....come on Vick, chipper up before your husband wises up and drops your ass!

Hi Gretchen I just wanted to make a comment i usually dont read blogs or even do this but I just had to say I think you have a heart of gold and to be hobest I think what you did was competly bold. You did not know any of the women and with how catty and univnviting they were in the begginning you still moved forth and smiled and opend your heart and cared for them. I think that shows the type of individual you are its hard to go in somewhere new like that and I praise you for doing it and not just that but you stood up for what you believed in and you stayed pure the whole way. I think you are this amazing person with a beautiful heart and a gorgeous personality shinning through. It seems as if the women are deliberatly trying to hurt you or find some way to hurt you and its really sad that people have to do that is it they are jealous or even maybe they felt you were taking the spotlight and they had to bring something in it to take it off you, all I have to say about tamara and vikki is they dont know what they are missing out. It takes more energy to be vengeful then what its worth plus its just a waste of time. My heart goes out to you with the pain you are filling with Jeff I am sorry you have to go through it I cant say I know how your feeling but it hurts to lose someone you love. God has a plan for your life and I hope you the best. Dont change your doing just fine.
