Gretchen, I do think you made some bad decisions in trying to befriend Tamra and Vicki. Knowing that these two women did not like me, I never would have put myself in the position you did at Tamra's home. You need to be very careful of who you trust and allow into your life. Lynne and Jeana proved to be very supportive and genuine. I do want to say I'm sorry regarding Jeff's passing and wish you the best. Hope to see you next season. You were a fresh addition to the show.

i am so sorry about you loss! i know its hard! and i know that the pain will ease slightly over time, 3 out of four of my grandparents died of cancer, and my father is in the process of fighting cancer, luckily he is on top right now! you are by far my fav. housewife out of all the cities, and i am a religious watcher haha. you are a kind and careing person! tamra and many others are so quick to judge you, yet there not in your shoes! its clear that tamra is jealous of your wonderful qualities!

You and Gena were by far my absolute favorite on the show. Hold your head high, these jealous women would kill to see you fall.

I lost my husband of 5 years to cancer, so I know how you're feeling. Despite what Tamara's jealous mouth says, you DO HAVE TO KEEP living while someone is dying. When he first became sick, I spent the firt couple of weeks in the hospital by his side. Then one day I looked up and realized I hadn't bathed in days, hadn't eaten and my hair was falling out. People like Tamara are unrealistic because they haven't been there. If I didn't leave the hospital sometimes and catch a movie, walk in the park, and hang out with my friends.... I would've probably died right with him. That wasn't God's will. Keep your head up, and let Tamara know that envy is the ugliest of all the sins.

I would like to say I do feel your pain. My daughter has been fighting cancer for 2 years. We still are going strong and live it day by day. I do understand when you need to take a day to yourself. When our daughter does the chemo and radiation we are there for her, but do take a dinner or a movie to ourselves. For those few hours you get to regroup and destress, you are no good when you are stressed, and we need to be very strong for our daughter. I understand being angry at god. I myself if he has made such a wonderful world and has plans what would his plan be for giving our daughter cancer. What good will come of that. You may not answer this , but I watched the seasons and I to know what it is like.

I just watched the reunion show on telly here in australia and have to say that you handled yourself really well. It wasn't as bad as what you may think so give it a go and watch it, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I think that you are beautiful and fun loving and I am sure that everyone has fun around you. The other housewives (Tamra and Vicky) should worry more about their own lives rather than yours.

Whilst there are certain characteristics that I like in all the housewives, I have to say that the way they treated both you and Lynne this season was appalling. Both of you handled the bitchiness and backstabbing with grace and dignity throughout the show. That's probably why they hated you even more. I must admit that Tamra must have been very jealous of you from the start of season. I was so aghast with how she acted.

here in Australian the reunion show aired last night and I just wanted to say that in the face of such comments I feel you handled yourself beautifully. I love the whole show and all the different characters, but there are defianately some who are jelous and backbiting and I think you just copped that, at the end of the day even if you are seeing someone else or are a paid carer. WHO CARES! you rea a gorgeous woman who shows great elegance and poise and some of the others could take a leaf out your book rather than their woohhooing for attention.

Hi Gretchen, I have never responded to a show but after seeing oc....You are an interesting person looking at your history and your back ground what a suprise. You manage to rise above people like Tamara and Vicky.People always manage to question others when they should reflect on their lives and who they are as people.What your relationships are about is your private business and even if you were to see anyone I have no doubt that your love for Jeff and what Jeff would want is for you to be happy and have the comfort at a time when you need it. Who you are and what you have done and is no reflection on who you will be. What ever has happened in your life makes you the fantastic person you are today. Your born with natural charm and grace, in the way you move and talk. I think your a fine person, although i don't believe you loved jeff deeply in a romantic or loyal type of way. You definitely cared for him and it was a mutually benefical relationship. Jeff knew what he was getting into and you wern't out to hunt him down and steal from an unwilling victim. It seems that he was like a sugardaddy father figure, and you were a golddigger caretaker. And you were both okay with that. My husband has cancer and it is one of the most confusing times in my life. I was working full time until he got worse and I had to stay home with him full time. Thank God he got his disability and that is getting us through. But I want you all to know who kick you with such horrible words haven't been there. My husband would tell me to "PLEASE PLEASE go out and have some fun, you need to get out and see a different perspective instead of me being ill all the time, I love you my wife and I know this is hard on you but you need to have fun along the way too or you will just become too far gone into taking care of me and not taking care of yourself as well". I'm really sad cause I truly enjoyed watching you on the show and I thought that you came across as a genuine and honest person. However, the things that have been posted about you on the internet (more so the images than anything) suggest that in no way were you a caring, and devoted fiancee. I am appauled by what I have seen and will no longer view you as anything more than a fraud. I read today that you are going to be on season 5 of the show, and I think that is a poor decision by the people at Bravo and I don't think that I will be a viewer anymore.

You are an "opportunist". You took your fame from the show and Jeff's death and you are very lucky. You may or may not have been using him, whatever..may or may not have truly cared for him.. But, even if your words ring true, I find it hard to believe that you are now using that to earn money... You cry poor, but, it seemed that Jeff must have left you a wealth of "things...and opportunities to market yourself" , plus, the jewelry, the $65,000 diamond ring, the motorcycle, the gym.. (you never mention that anymore. Do you still own that?)Yes, it must have been difficult for you emotionally, but, you certainly did not waste time getting yourself and your name out there and marketing your wares. And, blatantly being seen on TV and in public, everywhere, with Slade? Kind of weird.. Many of us have dealt with ill loved ones/death in our families, and tons more financial difficulties that accompany those things. You are lucky that you can continue your extravagant lifestyle thanks to Jeff and all of the publicity you have gotten from the show.. Don't cry poor or tell us how sad and bad you have had it. You've never been in any situation in your life where you haven't had money/support. You'd freak if you broke a nail and couldn't have it fixed, professionally, immediately.... Your hardships are hard for the "real" housewives of the world to take..or feel sorry for you.. You are just LUCKY... and live off of your looks..How about doing some fundraisers for the "families" / kids/ wives of ill people.. People who spend 24/7 taking care of ill loved ones with NO help, still have to work, and have no one cleaning, cooking, taking care of their kids or help with the bills when their loved ones are ill???

Like you said, a person's true essence eventually comes out and hers really did.
You were the only person on that show that really was a good person who just wanted to enjoy life as much as possible. Also, you showed what a lady you are by not calling others names or talking behind their backs.

Gretchen, I think it's great that you are able to turn your tragedy and loss into hope for others suffering with lymphoma. My dad's good friend just got diagnosed so it has affecting someone close to my own family. Hopefully with the wonderful work that you and your charity is doing he will be able to fight this disease and win. Please keep letting viewers know on a regular basis what they can do to help.

It seems like you choose to live with your head in the clouds and refuse to face the reality of the decisions you have made in your life. While I agree that no one should judge you, it's really not the point. Remember you reap what you sow. If you can live with your head held high despite how despicable you behave that is up to you. At the end of the day, you are truly only hurting yourself. None of the people that disagree with you will have to live your life, only you will. I just think you should realize that what goes around comes around and don't ask people to feel sorry for you when the bottom drops out from under you. Lies always catch up to people. If you are exploiting the situation to get people to feel sorry for you and make "money," I doubt you will prosper for long.

Gretchen...you by far were my favorite and the reason I tuned in each week! I love your humor, your generosity, your fun spirit and your kindness. Your sense of style is truly awesome! Most importantly, I loved the way you hung in there and dealt with the cruelty that was demonstrated toward you. You kept your cool and remained classy. I don't know what you do in your personal life and that is not my business. I do know that you gave the viewers of this season's OC Housewives an example of what a good person looks like and acts like. You keep your fun spirit and keep your head held high. You had to deal with a lot from the other ladies because you are such a magnetic person. Everyone who meets you is automatically drawn to you and I can see how that can make the other housewives feel insecure or unimportant. I hope you can realize that everything that went down on the final episode was childish. It's really not anyones business who you are seeing or sleeping with. I think it was disgusting of Tamara to put you on the spot like that. Even if you do have someone else in your life it was not Tamara's place to announce it to the world. She obviously has some serious issues that lay deep within her insecurities.

Hi Gretchen! I admire how you handle the last epissode of OC (the confession interview). It just show how jealousy turns Tamra into a rotten person. She might have the money to buy her material things but honey, class and good attitude are things that Tamra can't buy and you have that. Go girl!
