Season 3
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, from my family to yours! Thanks to all of you for being the best fans ever, for all your positive wishes for my family as we move into 2010. I know it is going to be a very low key one for the Keough Family. I had 30 people for Thanksgiving and I had a great time, but that was a lot of work. We tried frying a turkey, it was great but very dangerous with all that hot oil and I won’t be doing that again. December 23rd I will have my friend, Chef Chaz Bradley help me host a small dinner party for my close friends as we celebrate making it through the recession intact. My Realtor and mortgage friends really suffered this year, some moved in here, others moved home, quite a few lost their homes.
It has taken time to figure out the short sale market and loan modifications. It seems the rules changed weekly. I have learned that communicating with the bank and sending in documents they need promptly goes along way towards getting results. Also the www.distinctpropertysolutions.com has been very helpful guiding people through the short sale process. Dan Raab is my personal contact there. To the average American this process is overwhelming and the misinformation out there is mind boggling. For a reasonable amount of money to a lawyer you get guided through a successful short sale. Tax ramifications and everything is spelled out clearly so no surprises!
I believe 2010 is going to be a great year, my personal friend and attorney Jeff Lalloway is running for congress and several of my friends have really gotten involved in lobbying and writing books to make a difference in our country. I am so impressed with the way everyone is trying to pull together and come out of this recession, a stronger, financially healthier country. I am going to do some lobbying with builder /former Fluor executive Roger Hart. A San Clemente home builder, toll road builder, bridge and water plant builder and a very inspirational friend who has amazing ideas to get the country back on track.
Let's end the year helping someone less fortunate, for some of us it will be giving of your time, not money. The government can't do it all - help at your kids school, if you see something that needs addressing, deal with it - don't turn your head and walk by. At a Christmas party at The Derby last night some Marines were having too good a time, and I was very impressed with the owners, who stopped serving them and got them home safely. Please don't let your friends drive drunk, ever. My Real Estate company Weichert Gold Coast, (thank you Gary Tomasino, Julie Bullock and Cynthia Lemay for the best party ever) threw a wonderful party at The Derby, a piano bar where we sang and danced all night long! If you haven’t been there check it out. It is for all ages and is a fun way to cut loose!
RH of OC used to be my fave out of the bunch by far, because of REAL women like you, Lauri, and Vicki. These new 'ladies' (using that term very loosly) are fake, and have no depth to them. I don't know how much longer I'll be watching. RHOC needs to get some real women, or better yet, they just need you back! Any chances of that happening? :)
Jeanne - You were always my favorite. You were real, sincere, and cared about the others.
You never got down in the mud when things got testy with all the OC Housewives.
I will really miss you, and wanted to wish you the best.
You are a great gal and I am sure I speak for all of us
when I say - We will miss you.
Jeana - all of the posts are my sentiments exactly - you were the only one who made sense of all the drama and knew how to put everything into perspective. You were real! All I can say is that I hope that queen bee Vicki is reading all of your wonderful posts by all your admirers and can own up to the fact that she was the one who caused all the problems. She is a very toxic and insecure person. Yes, you were the most grounded person the show has ever had....all the best....;~D
Glad to hear you and the family are doing well Jeana, I miss you on the show.
It would of been nice if you were there in Florida with Vicki when the men decided to tag along.. My heart went out to her too..
I look forward to reading your blogs on here.
Take care!
It's funny that the best "housewives" have left the show. You and Lori were the only "normal" people on it. There is a reason that the rest of them are still there and it's not good. I think we all know this.
Jeana,
I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!! You did the right thing though the new housewives are backstabbing bitches, who are miserable with their lives and want everyone else to be miserable. Good luck with your life. I wish you happiness, Love, prosperity, and good health. Hope to maybe one day see you back on the show.
Jeana,
You and your family were my favorites because my family is very similar to yours (im the same age as kara) except were on the east coast. Now that your gone im sorry to say Lynnes taking your place. Your son Shane is drop dead sexy!!!! Kara seems to have a lot of book smarts but lacking in common sense. Shes beautiful though.
i hope u don't leave u r one of the only true woman left in this world and r beautiful not totally plasticized.you r a class act and need to teach the rest of the housewives life is too short.
We also fried a turkey this Thanksgiving and my husband said he will never do it again, too!
Jeana...you are one of my favorites. I love how real you are and how awesome the time spent with your kids is! Family is SOOOOO important! God BLESS you!
I oo miss your sense of reasoning on RHOC .... YOU were the REAL in Housewives. Sincere, Honest, and Caring. People of all walks of life could relate to you .... not only the Rich and Famous, and Look At Me's.
I hope Bravo continues to have you write your thoughts here.
Wishing you a wonderful healthy, and abundant year.
God Bless you Jeana, you and your family. How did you stay so grounded and keeping your priorities straight when some of the housewives...well, lost their way. Are the cameras that small that you forget they are filming everything you say and do?
I'm starting 2010 by joing a gym! I have several chronic pain issues and "the girls" and I are going on another trip to NYC in 2011. We had a BLAST when we went in 2008, but my back was so bad I had to take a taxi everywhere or just not participate. I'm going to figure out a way to be able to walk, at 55 I don't want a wheelchair. I would love to join your Facebook group, what a great idea.
Thank you for all you have given, putting yourself and your family "out there" for millions to see. God bless you, you're the best, baby!
Please give me a break, with the melodrama of how you and your cash poor friends have had to cut back by getting rid of your housekeepers and lost their multi-million dollar homes.
I can show you people who have been hit hard by the recession for real. A recession assisted by your Republican friends who are handed out mortgages to equally irresponsible people and over extended friends that didn't have the true lending capacity to support the mortgages they were given and the credit limits they lived on.
Getting in paper work on time helps- really, do you think? It's called accountability. Something the rest of the world already had to engage in. Welcome to true reality, Jeana.
I miss you Jeanna. You were always my favorite. You were always fair and compassionate when some of the others girls were being so mean to each other. It seems that you have such a positive outlook on your life and for the new year. I wish you luck, love and happiness. Your words were truly an inspiration to me.
Jeana- Best wishes to you and yours in 2010 and beyond! My husband and I were extremely saddend when we found out you were leaving the show - YOU were our FAVORITE housewife... we loved your witt, charm and personality. Your kids are well grounded - as is thier mother - congrats on raising such fine young adults - we have 3 of our own - 18, 23 & 27... we KNOW how they could have turned out....
Certainly hope you make guest appearences from time to time -and that now that I have found the blog site- that you update it from time to time....
Best of luck finding a soulmate - it does happen (took me a time or two - but it happened).
I miss seeing you on the show !!! I hope you are doing well , I thought you were the classy one on the show !!
I miss you Jeanna, you are my favorite. You are the most normal, laid back housewife. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family for 2010. I hope you are doing well and you find happiness. by the way, You have the cutest kids out of all the housewives. your daughter should be a model. She is adorable. Your son's are very cute too.
Happy New Year Jeanna! You always were my favorite and I wish you nothing but happiness and laughter in the future! You seem like a really great mom, as well as an inspiration for strong women everywhere. All the best to you...
Jeanne, you were the reason I watched RHOC, I really miss you, your humor, your honesty and your brunette common sense among the "blonds". I wish you all the best for 2010. Make an appearance once in a while on the show, just to let us know you're doing well. All the best!
You were always like a breath of fresh air and will be missed. All the best to you and your family.
Hey Jeana, I Miss you so very much but you made the best decision for you & always be proud of that. You were and always will be my fav housewife. Your honesty was something none of the other women never had. Good luck with you kids, they should be very proud of you, I know I am. GOD BLESS..TRACEY
jeanna
i really miss you i thought you were the most honest
which is probably why you got out because it was so much
b.s. but i gotta tell you i cannot stand gretchen
but i hope you are happy and well you were great
have a good life lov ya
Miss you on the show!!! You were my favorite, only one who had a head on her shoulders. Maybe come back????
Jeana - I would want you for my Mom if I didn't already have a Momma like you! You are amazing, strong, insecure in the best way a Mom should be, loving, right on, a rock. Your kids are lucky and are very very diverse from the other OCHW. You have done well despite your trials.
Kudos to you always and continued postive in you and your family's world.
Jeanna, please consider coming back to the show. The new housewife (don't even remember her name because she is so fake and boring) can never replace you. I certainly want you to enjoy your life, but we surely do miss you so much!!!!!!!
Hope you and your family had a blessed holiday season! Sounds like you probably did. And Happy New 2010! I will miss seeing your smile on the show but like you stated earlier, you needed to break away from all the "drama"; I don't blame you (though I love all the other Housewives too)!
Happy New Year, Jeana. Sure miss you - No one can take your place. They definitely need a "grounded" brunette to balance things out and you were the perfect person for that, as was Tammy Knickerbocker. I was delighted that you were still updating your blog and I hope that we will see you from time to time again on the show.
Jeana wish you all the best in 2010. All the best to your family. Good things come to good people.
Jeana,
As much as I miss watching you on the show, I am so glad that you made the decision to leave and take care of yourself. A toxic environment like that is never beneficial to anyone's well-being, and there's no doubt that you were the only one who was sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. I wish you all the luck in the world...and have no doubt that you have a bright future doing whatever makes you happy. Thank you for being the only "real" one on this reality television show. :-)
You should come back to the show or get your own show! :] You are one of my favorite people! Kara is so lucky to get an internship for E!. Jealous :] I'm guessing she is majoring in something in communications. Good luck to you and your family in the new year!
Good for you, my friend !!! I wish you luck and feel the caddiness of the housewives would have sucked all the energy out of you...I feel you will have a great 2010
I miss you so much on the show. Best of luck to you in love and life. I hope you'll be back on Bravo in the future in some capacity.
Jeanna,
Sad to see you go, you were my favorite. I also think you and Don would of made a great couple.
Jeana
you were the heart and soul of this show and now that you are gone it's very empty
good luck and I hope to see you on your own show
I want YOU to have your own reality show. You are the most real and interesting of ALL of the housewives series in any city. I'm so bored with the rest of your cast.
Hi Jeana,
I was so sorry that you left the show but it is the right decision for you I am sure.
You know that you will be sorely missed. You were always the voice of reason in some of the craziness.
I wish you all of the best in 2010, like you, I feel that it will be the start of great things for all.
I doubt that I will ever live in OC again (I miss HB EVERY DAY) but I have my dream home and a wonderful life here. Sooooo Happy New Year Jeana! A toast to all of us wonderful housewives of where ever!
Deborah
Jeanna,
I will miss you on the show. You were definitely my favorite housewife in OC. I wish you and yours a healthy happy year. Remember, things happen for a reason and sometimes we have to wait a while to see the true reason for things in our lives. Good luck to you - I will miss you.
Thank you Jeana for rising above all the cattiness and being such a good person and friend. You are truly going to be missed! God bless you and your family in the New Year!!!
Dear Jeanna,
Ditto - all the above comments about your being truly missed
(I won't be tuning in much anymore). You have lovely children and were the grounding personality on the show. I
hope your future is all you want it to be, and wish you & your children every happiness! You go girl!
Jeana,
The show will not be the same without you! I definitely can understand you wanting to be with your family and paying more attention to your finances. I am glad that you saw your mistakes, ie; the comment towards Lynne and realized that you were becoming someone you are not. The drama that Vickie and Tamara said that you caused was not true, it was both of them, especially Tamara. What I find interesting is that you realized that you needed to take a step back and they still continue their drama. Although, Vickie has gotten a little bit better. I wish you all the happiness you so deserve, you are such a sweet lady and only good things will come your way. p.s. stay friends with Gretchen, she is another great person.
JEANA!
D O N ' T G O ! ! ! ! ! !
:(((((( ... you were the only normal one.
Jeanna you are one of my favourites and I will miss you! You have carried yourself so well and really showed that you can not be a follower while still not making yourself the centre of drama. Vicki and Tamra are not great people and the situation with the money thing...wow. Like, great friend. I understand not wanting to lend it...but a true friend just would! Regardless of the risk of not getting it back! Vicki is so self-centered I feel for her husband.
Love.
a true true fan
Jeana -
I really respect your actions and words on the show. You were so diplomatic and stayed out of the conflicts, which were so silly. You definitely have class. Good luck with everything.
u look just like khloe kardashian!
Jeana,
You are the lady!!!
You're classy, smart and down to earth.
I really hope you come back.
Jeana~
I have enjoyed you the most~ You are so true to your family and your friends! You have never acted like you are better than anyone else & I love How much you are in love w/ your children!
You are so kind & you are wise to get out of the RUCKUS that is going on w/ this show now! You are better than that! :)
Smile ~ You have a many that Love you! :)
Carole in DC
You, on the other hand, are awesome! Not a foul word about anyone. I like you Jeana! Best wishes in the New Year!
Jeana,
like the others, I enjoyed watching you and your lovely family in their spats, loving each other, and getting on with life. You represent a lot of women that have decided to start over with love. I commend you for your kind words for the father of your children. You are very wise.
Your daughter is a great person. You can sure tell that she comes from your family...spunky, beautiful, and extremely smart.
Colton has matured in the last few seasons. I do think that you might want to listen to him, he has wise lessons about money, seems to be his forte.
You oldest son is so handsome. I hope he has come to terms with his "short fuse" ...and I wish him the best.
Good Luck, don't be afraid to give true love another chance. Life does go on...after divorce.
THE BEST TO YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY....KANSAS CITY LOVES YOU ALL.
Miss you Jeana. Always thought you and Donn would have made a great couple and you would appreciate him not that your used to be girl isn't trying to portray she is putting forth an effort. Good luck and God Bless!
Jeana: I miss you on the show, but I can certainly understand why you would want to leave two of those mean-spirited housewives (who I don't have to identify because we all know who they are). You are too nice to deal with all their drama and nastiness. I wish you much luck in 2010. You are a class act. Any man that gets involved with you is going to be very lucky indeed. Don't settle - you deserve the best!!!
Cheers to you Jeana... you made my thursday night with merlot!! You will be missed lol :-)
