Shannon Beador Says Company Makes or Break a Trip, Had a Blast in Ireland "Until People Started Lying"
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom says it's all about the people.
The Real Housewives of Orange County's Shannon Beador prefers to keep her globe trotting to familiar — if posh — locales. She goes with her family to Hawaii and New York each summer, growing and continuing traditions among the people she loves most of all.
"I'm not a big traveler — I like familiarity," she told Jet Set at the reunion taping in Los Angeles.
That might be why Shannon said she doesn't prize a bunch of fancy trappings — adventure itineraries or overwrought fine dining — as the most important parts of any vacation.
Indeed, she said the one thing that makes a great vacation is — of course — "the people that you're with," she told us.
So, we asked, who specifically has to be there to make it great? "Me!" Shannon joked.
But seriously, she said, "It depends. I had a great time in Ireland until people started lying."
Generally the people she really wants to have around her on vacation are "good girlfriends and your family — either way."
She summed up, "You gotta have a group of great people — life’s too short!"
Amen to that.
