Season 4
Season 3
Welcome back everyone! After a few weeks of reruns, The Real Housewives of Orange County is back. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season. We spent this year at home in Southern California instead of going to Chicago, and we had a great time.
This week you will see Donn and me renew our vows in beautiful Turks & Caicos. We celebrated 15 years of marriage this year and I felt the timing was right to redo our vows. We had some rough years during the marriage, but vowed to each other to commit to making it better and I thought what better way than to renew our vows. It was a complete surprise to Donn, as I think he thought we were just going on a little vacation for a few days. Little did he know we were going to have another wedding!
I think it's really important for all couples to renew their vows, especially when they've gone through rough times and have realized that there is no other place they'd rather be than with each other. It's as if Donn and I drew a line in the sand and said from this day forward, we are leaving the past behind us and starting a new marriage. It was a magical moment for both of us, because when we recommitted our love to each other it felt as if we were newlyweds again.
I decided on Turks and Caicos because we had never been there before, and I had heard amazing reviews about it. The Grace Bay Report was unlike any place we have ever stayed before. It was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back.

I was sobbing watching this episode! I am so happy of the surprise turn around on this marriage. I am an independent young successful women and always agree your values when other wives don't agree. They don't understand because they don't run a successful business. It takes so much to achieve that. I have a boyfriend that just like the sweet Don. And I just recently realize that he is a great guy who allows me to be who I am just like Don! I am so happy for you Vicky! xoxoxo
VICKY I THINK YOU ARE INCREDIBLY LUCKY TO HAVE THE FAMILY THAT YOU HAVE AND I ALSO THINK THAT YOU ARE A VERY STRONG WOMAN. DON'T LET ANYONE EVER TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE WRONG FOR THE WAY YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE. IF ANYONE DOESN'T APPRECIATE THAT YOU ARE THE WOMAN YOU ARE, I FEEL AS THOUGH THEY ARE JUST JEALOUS OF THE STRENTH THAT YOU HAVE AND THE RESPECT AND LOVING RELATIONSHIP THAT YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND HAVE. ITS NICE TO SEE A POWERFUL BUSINESS WOMAN WHO KNOWS HOW TO MANAGE HER OWN LIFE. KEEP ON LOVING AND LIVING AND DON'T LET THE "JEALOUS" GET YOU DOWN!
I seriously just sat down to watch the episode where you renewed your vows with Don and I actually cried. It was perfect and I just couldn't believe it was you that planned all of that because before now I really didn't think you had it in you. I don't think I had a favorite housewife till now.... It was touching and congratulations on your renewed marriage!
Loads of Love and Support!
Me.....
Finally Vicki, you realized that you had the best husband/friend/ of all the other housewives...What took you so long? He is loving, sweet, he knows you very well and knows to leave alone when you need it...never a mean word ever came out of his mouth!
Wishing you both many more years of happiness. He reminds me of my wonderful husband of 33 years!
Vicki,
I was wondering what changed you attitude so much this season? Was some of it reading the blogs? Did you go to therapy with Donn? Whatever it was, you attitude and actions are so much nicer this season. It is refreshing and Donn certainly deserves it!
Shelly
Hello Vicki,
I want to thank you for your realistic portrayal of women in the business world today. While, we may not be the same age, I feel your relationship with Don is very much the same relationship I have with my boyfriend of 4 years. I am 24 years old and I work for a Fortune 50 company and I am pursuing my MBA part-time. My boyfriend is an attorney, and is very much devoted to his job. We very much have a similar relationship as you and your husband. We do not need to be together every single moment, and quite frankly, we prefer not to be at times. I believe it is healthy to have girl time, or quite frankly, alone time. Please make note that your career achievements, are what we aggressive business women desire to achieve. I can firmly say, I am not, and will not be an Alexis or a Tamara. My man is person I love more than anything or anyone, but he is not my career.
Vicki,
I felt moved to write you and say BRAVO!! You are a women of depth and courage to reach out to Don and recapture your marriage--on national television no less. Marriage is so worth fighting for and I applaud you and Don.
Don is a great guy, so patient, funny, honest, loving, and down to earth. You are lucky to have him. I'm relieved that you saw that and didn't let him go. I'm also glad that he stuck with you. He was RIGHT there the entire time.
My husband decided, very unexpectedly and abruptly, to leave our marriage without a second thought. He made No effort to work on and save the life we had built together which included two children. It has been a difficult road. However, I watch you and Don and I feel REAL hope.
Thank you for working hard on your marriage and for sharing that wisdom with your audience. We need more role models like you. I applaud both of you!
Thank you,
Trish
Vicki, I feel compelled to write and tell you that you are an amazing person to recognize how you treated don and hurt him, and then working hard to get to a great place together. I
am not married, but I experienced something similar recently. We are lucky
that we have second chances in relationships when
resentments can be so strong and hard to
put aside. I get so happy when I see you and don happy and both making the effort and see how much you mean to each other. I hope one day i can look to the man in my life years later and see how much further we have come.
I loved the last episode when don got you the ring and there were the mishaps
with the bird pop, cocktail sauce, and wine. That's how life is sometimes and the great thing is that you have someone like don to laugh through it together and
remember that one day. I wish you both the best!
Vicki,
I've never been a fan of yours, due to past episodes. I simply didn't like what I was seeing in who and what you would say and do. But I am very impressed that you finally have given Donn the attention, love and respect that he has been so deserving of. I was very moved at the length you went to let him know how much he meant to you and that you do love him. I always felt he was taken for granted, always left behind, standing in your shadow only when you would allow him. I'm happy to see that you are finally treating him as the jewel he is. He has stood by you when you left him in the cold so many times, and I hope that the two of you will grow closer and spend more quality time together. He deserves that, and he shouldn't settle for less. My hats off to you for acknowledging him and his devotion to you. I wish you both the best.
Vicki,
I have been watching you since the beginning of time. I have always been a big fan of yours and I am a bigger fan now. It took lots of LOVVE and guts to take the step that you did with your love, Don. You have inspired me and give me hope with my husband and I.
I wish you and your beautiful family the best wishes and many memories in the future.
what you did it was beatiful, i loved special went both are in island and you came with the surprice. IT WAS BEATIFUL. MY BLESSING FOR BOTH AND YOUR FAMILY.
Vicki I have to tell you that what you did for Donn moved me so that I decided to take the life lessons I learned from that show and do the same for my life. My husband and I are drag racers and he has wanted this dragster for some time and the Dear Lord has blessed us so that I contacted the owner to find out if he still had it for sale, which he did so I bought it and then set it up with my husband best friend to have it delivered there and then have us over and when he walked in the garage to find out that the dragster was there and that he now owned it because I bought it for him was one of the best moments. Being able to take his breath away was the best gift I could have gotten and it let me know just how blessed I am to have my soul mate to spend my lifetime with. Thank you for sharing that moment!
Vicki,
This was the best episode of this show yet. I commend you for stepping up and taking the high road with the 'girls' and especially with Don. I too cried when you renewed your vows......it was very romantic and very real. Best of luck to you and your family for 2010!
I will be honest all of the prior seasons I did not think highly of you mainly how you treated Don. I was shocked and sometimes pissed what you would say to him. This season I am so impressed with you especially to see that you know and have always known Don is very good husband and that you both do truly love each other. The renewal of your wedding vows proved that to me and totally wowed me. You go girl, Don was surley impressed also! I now see that you do truly love Don and your kids and it is showing this season. I am loving the date night and you both how much love and appreciation you have for each other. Best of luck and be blessed!
Vicki,
To be honest, you have not been my favorite in past seasons because I thought you were a "mean girl". But can I just say, wow. The changes that you have obviously made in your life are so refreshing to me. You are a totally different person, you even have a glow about you that I have never seen before and I have been following the show for quite some time. I just want to tell you to keep it up, you are shining beacon of light among all the drama queens (which still make up most of the interesting plot lines to their defense). You and your husband are absolutely adorable. Congratulations on your renewal of vows. I usually dont comment or even read blogs but your attitude about life inspires me: )
Vicki,
I was so disappointed in you because of how you treated Donn in the past seasons. I must ay you completely redeemed yourself and I am so happy for you and Donn. I am so happy that you have decided to reconnect.
Can I find out where Vicki got her cross necklace? I absolutely love it and want to know where to get it.
I loved the cross necklace also and would love to know where I can find one like it. Please send information to my e-mail address. Thank you!! Love the show. Keep it up girls...you are fabulous and can't wait for the new season beginning on March 6, 2011!!
I also loves the necklace, and would like to know where it would be available
I have to tell you Vicki, this episode was the most touching thing I have ever seen on a reality show. You actually made me cry, not just a tear, but I need a kleenex kind of cry. Good luck with your newly found marriage, I wish you and Donn the best, and I hope to hear one day that you and Donn grew old together. To new beginnings! :)
I think it is wonderful that you and Donn renewed your vows! What a special time you two had! You and Donn are both lucky to have eachother! You both seem like genuinely, good, caring and loving people.
Vicki~
I was so happy to see you and Donn renew your vowes. I am happy to see that you and Donn have reconnected after watching your relationship with Donn hit a hard spot last year. Congrats, and the ring you have Donn was such a great thing, it tugged at my heart strings.
Hi, Vicki.
I just started recording The Real Housewives of Orange Cty and was so pleased to finally see this particular episode. I don't watch because I'm impressed about all the wives' behavior, etc.; I watch because I'm intrigued by the drama and mostly just amazed at how ridiculous everyone behaves...then there's you. You are always kind and sweet to the others, you sometimes speak out due to your independent nature but, clearly it's because you say it like it is -- good stuff, and your relationship with your husband is astounding. Renewing your vows was a beautiful sentiment, and I was touched by your gift to your husband. It's so good to see someone with your personality, success in business and family, and who is so REAL on this show. You're touching others' lives...in a very gratifying way. Thx.
Vicky, what a great thing you & Don did with renewing your vows. What a nice setting & a wonderful experience.
I just wanted to say that I love what seems to be the new Vicky. I have discovered a person that I really admire.
Thanks for being you.
Ken
Hey Vicky, I was so happy to see the episode of you and Don renewing your wedding vows. It's about time you put him first in your life and realize how lucky you are to have him. Plenty of other women would love to have your husband. He seems to go with the flow and basically does whatever you want him too, or not want him to, as in the case of going on all those vacations without him. Remember, he is your best friend and you should not take him for granted!!!!!!
HI Vicky,
I have watched the housewives since the very first show and I must say that the past two years I have not really enjoyed watching how you act around the other housewives, however this year is different. I am so happy for you and your husband renewing your vows. A major accomplishment especially after last years episode at the restaurant when you and Don did not get along so well. I enjoy you being happy and enough with getting into the drama with the other housewives. If they want to go on a girls weekend with their husbands then let them. It should not have such a negative effect on you. As long as they spend a majority of the time with you, who cares if their worse halves are with them. I do admire your hard work. You are an amazing business woman.
I think What you did for DOn was so sweet !
I loved this episode......congrats to you both
Vicky,
CONGRATS!!! I feel like I have went thru the rocky times in your relationship w Don with you lol! To see the effort that you have been putting into the relationship and the changes you've made in how you treat him and what you say to him really gives me hope that not all marriages fail now a days. Thank you.
I was truly touched when you took him on this surprise vacation...to see his face and excitement, to see him openly cry because he was so touched by your loving gestures...I CRIED!! I am truely happy that things are back on track and your "love tank" lol, is full once again! He seems like a great man, a provider, and just a REAL man...there are hardly ANY left out here girl let me tell you!!
I am just really happy for you guys, that you were able to get back on track and that you were willing to be so open and honest w all of us viewers about what really goes on behind closed doors- rich or poor we all have some of the same experiences.
THANK YOU!
Hey Vicki, Im so happy to see you in Don starting over with a fresh start. The other cast members haven't been married as long as you and Don so they can't really compare they're relationships with yall. It's a wonderful thing to have spouses that trust and love each other, but can also be away from each other without the drama. And I love the relationship you have with your children. You are one of my favorite cast members.
It was wonderful to see you acknowledge what a wonderful husband you have. It appears that you MOST CERTAINLY have a healthy marriage and feel for the other housewives who think otherwise. I have noticed a real change in you this season and I hope that last season was a 'wake up' call to you. I'm glad that you have a friend in Tamra, but I think you need to evaluate if your friendship is counter-productive. When you both get together, it seems that the catty and backstabbing begin. I like seeing the nicer side of you. And your daughter is WONDERFUL! You have done a great job with both of your kids. Kuddos to you and Don. And he deserves a medal for stepping in and being a father.
Vicki-
I've made no secret that I am not a fan of yours, I have watched the series since the beginning and I have to say that I hated the way you treated Don, he seemed so laid back and so supportive and you could just see how much he loved you and you constantly put him down and alienated yourself from him for the sake of your independence. Now don't get me wrong I am as independent as they come but I also know when to be soft and finally, finally Vicki we got to see the soft side of you, the vulnerable woman who loves her man side of you and it was so beautiful and touching. When you presented Don with his gifts at the dinner and he just looked over at you with tears in his eyes and the words stuck in his throat, I was beaming. Good for you Vicki, I didn't much appreciate your antics in regards to the florida trip but the one good thing that came out of it was that you realized what a good man you have and acted accordingly. Don truly loves you and it was nice to see you reciprocate that love. Good luck to you and Donn in the new year.
vicky, when u and ur honey re new ur vows,it made me cry.u guys are right for each other and i just wanna say both of u are lucky to be with each other.please stay together and enjoy ur life forever.ur husband is a good man who appreciates and loves u and i say this because he is just like my husband.i'm happy for u both of u and i just wanna wish u guys the best.i am waiting to see the new episode.my husband and out 5 yr old is stationing in guam but can't wait to get back to cali where my family is and where we live for 11 yrs..anyways,keep up the good work and ur and ur honey is awesome.love marly
I NEEEEVVVVVEEEERRRR cry during reality tv! BUT i loved the renewing of the voes episode!!! I hope tat it was as real as it looked. God Bless you all.
Vicki, watching you and Don saying your vows was really touching. you are one of my favorite couples on the real housewives. congratulations
Vicky, I am so glad you are waking up to see what a good man you have...I love Don..He is a great man. I am glad there is one husband on the show that isn't leading his wife around by the nose and is confident enough to let you travel without him. Bottom line, you aren't a sell out...Tamra,Alexis,can't travel without their sugar daddys??? That is so not normal...But just one thing I must comment on, It doesn't take 7 years for a BSN. I have a BSN with nurse practitioner status in 4 years. Otherwise, just keep being you and loving your man!!!!! Remember, family first..
I love you Vicki! I really enjoy watching you on Real Housewives of Orange Cty. You are a fun, funny and take no crap kind a lady. I can see myself hanging with you and just having a good time. I, too am married to a wonderful guy. We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I would love to be able to renew our vows, esp. on the beach. Your husband seems to really love and care deeply about you and don't let anything or anyone come between you two. Marriage is a hard thing and no one seems to want to stay commited anymore. I can speak from experience. I wish you nothing but good luck and many more years of happiness with Don. God Bless!
VICKI you rock......keep being a powerful woman. I love that you renewed your vowes....you have a real catch there and keep him close. Good honest and loyal men are hard to find. Dont let him go!!!!! KEEP GOING GIRL you are awesome...WOOOOOOO HOOOOOO
Vicki - loved your wedding renewal! It was beautiful to watch the two of you express your commitment and love for each other - but also bittersweet for me to watch. My husband and I both had "big" jobs and retired recently - we decided that the next 10 years were going to be the best of our lives and marriage. Unfortunately and unbelievably he died unexpectedly 7 weeks after retiring. It warmed my heart to see the two of you realize what a special marriage you have together and to really take the time to express how much you mean to each other. Donn is a very special man and you two are great together - I appreciate and value your independence and strong work ethic. Best of luck to both of you.
Hey Vicki,
You are actually the first housewife I have commented on and I've been watching since season 1! After watching the episode with you and don I was so moved. No matter what anyone says I think you and don have a heathly marrige and being recently engaged I hope that my marrige is as wonderful as yours! You are a true inspiration in so many aspects and just keep being your wonderful self!!!
xoxo
-Barb
Hi Vicki: Donn seems like the most caring, patient & kind-hearted guy in OC. The wedding renewal episode was really terrific. Best wishes to you both for much happiness & love forever.
Hi Vicki! Its great to have the new eposides again. Its good to hear that you and your family had a great holiday. Am just got done watching the eposide when u and Donn renewed your vows... "am a little behind schedule", it was a very beautiful moment! I've never seen u or him cry over the love you both deeply share. Just knowing the two of you from the show, u guys make a GREAT couple, and I can really tell, that he truly loves u. The new wedding ring you had given him looked very nice on his finger, and i could tell that her LOVED IT! Who cares what the other housewives and their husbands think of yours and Donn marriage, some of them need to work on their own marriage issues. But again, u looked beautiful, and Donn looked very handsome. Good luck for the next 50 yrs.
Vicki,
I've gotta say that I haven't always agreed with the way you've conducted yourself in past episodes and around the other Housewives...but I've ALWAYS respected your work ethic and how you believe 110% that if you want something in life, it's no one's job but YOUR OWN to go get it! The vows were one of my personal favorites from this season -- everything from unveiling the ring to Don (I've watched that clip at least a dozen times and his expression still gives me chills!), to hearing both of your vows to one another, to the sillier scenes like the Rum Bar and pulling apart the conch, it truly looked like an amazing, unforgettable time for the both of you. I have nothing but utmost respect and admiration for your marriage and what a beautiful, magnificent way to celebrate your love and commitment to one another! God Bless:-)
It was really great to see you & Donn renew your vows. You started out to be my least favorite of the housewives. You seemed very closed minded & unwilling to accept change (i.e., new housewives, stepping outside of your box)and I felt that you were very mean & at times disrespectful to your husband. What I've come to love about you this season is: the love you have for your family, the committment to your husband & marriage. You work, you cook, you take care of your kids but you don't wait on them hand & foot, they seem to be very respectful. Vicki, you do it all. You are a "REAL Housewife".
Vicki,
The trip to Florida happened for a reason just as everything that happens in our lives, but I know how sad it made you and in the end I think it helped you realize exactly what kind of relationship you have with Don. He is a wonderful man. I too have one of those men who is not jealous and who is very trusting as a marriage should be. I too am a very independent woman. Have a trip planned to the beach this summer with all the girls! :)
I have to be honest and say I always felt you were a bit abrasive but these last few shows including your renewing your vows showed me a different side of you. I like the new Vicki. You are a strong woman but it is ok to let that wall down every now and then! :) Needless to say you had me in tears on this show!
Can not wait to see more of OC Housewives this season!
