Temperatures Rising

The temperature is rising, and so are the tempers. Vicki Gunvalson recounts all of Lake Havasu's hot drama!

December 22, 2008

Our vacation in Havasu this summer was a lot of fun, but stressful. We had a lot of people to cook for and watch after, and the weather was over 116 degrees. Tempers seem to also rise when the weather is that hot. We are glad we didn't sell the house, because we have found that it is a great place for our family to go that is peaceful.

It was difficult to see Frankie again, only because there was some "unfinished" business with us and I wasn't expecting to see him at our vacation home. Jeana and I had a disagreement, but, as we always have in the past, we got over it. Jeana always thinks "the more the merrier," whereas I prefer a smaller crowd to keep things less stressful. I think Jeana should have told me ahead of time that she was planning to bring Frankie.

I absolutely agree that with friends, quality is much more important that quantity. Jeana has a revolving door at her home, and she always has people staying there. She always has new "friends" showing up to all of our outings. I worry that people take advantage of her.

My entire family is coming in for the holidays from Chicago and the girls and I are doing lots of cooking and baking. We just returned from Boulder, CO for Mike's college graduation. It was an exciting time to see my Mike graduate and I couldn't be more proud of him. We brought his girlfriend Lauren back with us and she will be here for a few weeks during the holidays also.

It's going to be a fabulous Christmas at the Gunvalson's this year. May all of you have a blessed and happy holiday season while we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Hi Vicki...I absolutely loved the swimsuit coverups you wore this season. Would you share who the designer is?

I completely understood feeling betrayed by a friend that probably knew you were not on good terms with someone, and then brought them to " your turf".
