Was Archie Internalizing Shannon and David Beador’s Marital Strife?

At the end of last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador’s dog, Archie, seems very sad. He won’t eat. He just wants to lie in Shannon’s lap. Is it because he senses the state of his parents' marriage, as we now know the couple has split up? 

It turned out that no, Archie was in fact legitimately sick. In an Instagram post that she posted last night, Shannon noted that Archie had an upset stomach during the taping. “He was eating the “sawgrass” in our courtyard and it was irritating his stomach,” she said in her caption. “He wouldn’t eat a thing for a few days!”

So it wasn’t just that David had let the family fall apart while she was in Iceland, as she suspected he might. Archie was eating too much grass! Poor boy!

We actually reported on the incident when it occurred back in May. In response to the vet’s diagnosis, Shannon promptly changed the landscaping of her entire lawn so that Archie, a golden retriever, could munch on the good stuff without any consequences.

In recent weeks, Archie has been healthier than ever, enjoying his birthday and a surprise swim. What a good boy!
