Family, Construction, and Duff

It's a brand new season, and for Vicki Gunvalson, that means even bigger challenges.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on  Peacock and the Bravo App.

Well, here we are. Back for another season of Real Housewives of Orange County. I have to say that the biggest change between this season and last is that this time, both of my children are away and at college. Having Michael gone the first season was hard enough, but now Briana is away at Azusa Pacific, also. One of the major changes that people will notice is the addition of Duff. Having him on staff has truly been amazing. He is taking over projects for me that I have been wanting to do for some time now, and I know they are being done correctly. The launch of Coto Insurance and vickigunvalson.com was something that I needed assistance on, and without Duff I do not believe I would have been able to launch this new business. I enjoy the calming personality he has. He's a good guy, that Duff.

It was good to see Michael working construction. I was born and raised in the construction industry. My father owned a construction company for over 30 years, and my brother inherited it when he passed away. My ex-husband Mike Sr. still works for my family's business, so seeing Michael work with his dad and my brother made me very proud. I think it is important to know construction knowledge, as it will become valuable later in life when he owns his own home. It's always nice to see family, and being in Chicago is great for that. I know at times my mother wishes I wasn't doing this show. I think she also wishes that I lived closer to her. This is why she gets angry with me. Sometimes I just want her to embrace my choices and not be so disappointed.

My mom is an amazing mother, and I think a lot of her anger is just because she misses me and wished I never moved away. Sometimes I wish I didn't either. I value family and my "roots" and am glad she is always there for me. I can't wait to see how the rest of this season of Real Housewives turns out. Stay tuned! And thanks for reading!
