Getting Buzzed

Peggy talks about the trip to Temecula and her awkward moment with Vicki.

By Peggy Tanous

This week we need to celebrate! Our world is in a safer place with Bin Laden gone! I was in NY during 9/11 and it was indescribable and horrific. Thank you to all our troops and servicemen and women that risk their lives everyday for us! Including my brother-in-law who served three tours in Iraq and came home with a purple heart!

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on  Peacock and the Bravo App.

Now on to this week's episode. You first see me going to Alexis' house to talk about my dinner party and her meltdown. By this point in filming I was already realizing Alexis was not a true friend, and I was over trying to give her chances and make plans to have her just blow me off. I was accepting where our friendship was now and moving forward. You saw at the dinner party she was basically telling me she didn't have time for our friendship. At her house she reiterates that point to me. Then I ask her if there is more to it than she is letting on, but once again she won't communicate with me. I even ask her if Jim had a problem with us for some reason, as he was very rude to Micah when we were all in Vegas together before filming started. She once again brushed off my question and tried to be competitive with me. Like anything in life, we both have our own perceptions on what is transpiring with our friendship and both deal with it the way we see fit. It's become blatantly obvious to me that the day I was chosen to be on the show Jim and Alexis both wanted nothing to do with me and Micah!

It was great to see Lynne and Tamra meet for drinks. I love Lynne and really wish she was still on the show full time! We've become very close. I thought it was so funny and cute when she told Tamra she must be weird because she has never kissed a girl! They have a great friendship.

You also see Tamra meeting Fernanda for drinks to discuss their kiss. I think Tamra handled their talk very well and realized that to her it was a fun, drunken kiss that was no big deal, but to a lesbian that obviously has a crush on her it meant much more. I was happy to see Tamra understood this and was able to empathize with Fernanda. I'm glad they cleared the air!

It was difficult to see Donn and Vicki in their kitchen and how awkward they now are around each other. I think Donn is a really sweet and funny guy, and I feel bad he always seems to be complaining Vicki is never around, but it seems to me Vicki loses herself in work because they stopped having a connection long ago and she was not getting what she needed.

I was happy you viewers got to see me give the girls a bath before heading out to Temecula! It seems I filmed so much with my lil ladies since I'm with them all the time, but you don't always get to see it. I loved when Capri was doing her little bear crawl into the bathroom. It's crazy how big she has gotten since we started first filming. She was only one when we started filming, and she even took her first steps on camera! It was so amazing!

Bath time is over and now it's time for mommy to have a fun girl's day! I was really looking forward to wine tasting with Tamra and Vicki. I didn't get to spend very much time with them at my crazy dinner party and really haven't had time to get to know Vicki. I also love wine tasting and Temecula is special to me, as that is where Micah and I got married! We rented out one of the wineries there and had the most romantic setting for pictures. The limo ride out with Vicki and Tamra was fun. Unfortunately it ended up being a cold and rainy day. Once at the wineries you see the three of us getting along well and cracking jokes. Not to mention we were getting very buzzed! The guy helping us at the first winery cracked me up when he was trying to pick what wine our personalities would match. When we get to the second winery I felt so bad because I really had no idea anything was going on with Donn and Vicki and was just asking questions about them out of curiosity while getting to know Vicki better. It was obvious something was going on when she kept wanting to change the subject and started getting upset. I later found out she thought Tamra had told me something. Literally the next day Vicki filed for divorce. I was shocked and really sad. I thought after renewing their vows last year they might get through all their differences. Divorce is always so sad, but if two people have grown apart to that extreme and there are no kids involved, it is better to be happy than to be miserable and fighting.

It was cute to see Gretchen show her make-up line and handbags on the morning show in Texas. I loved that Slade was merchandising everything for her. That would be Micah if he was helping me on a shoot! They work really well together.

Lastly, I want to discuss my boudoir photo shoot I did! I was really disappointed they only showed about two minutes of this. I planned this photo shoot as a surprise gift to Micah for his birthday! He is a very difficult person to buy gifts for, as he always gets himself whatever he wants or needs! I decided this year since we are done having babies and I am back in shape that it would be fun to do a tasteful boudoir lingerie shoot. This way he always has those photos to look back on when we are old. It was tough planning and executing this shoot. I had to fib and tell Micah the day of the shoot that I was filming with Tamra. Then I had to hide all the new La Perla lingerie I got in my trunk and snagged one of his jackets to wear during the shoot and put that in the trunk as well! I used to do a lot of catalog shoots in the past for lingerie and swimwear companies, so the day really flowed well and was really fun for me. I was definitely in my comfort zone. It was nice to feel sexy for the day after three years of babies and going through post partum depression. I would highly recommend every mommy do a boudoir shoot to look and feel beautiful for a day! Not only is it a gift to your significant other, but more importantly it is a gift to yourself. Choosing the right photographer makes all the difference in the world. I had the best photographer. Nancy from www.crushphotostudios.com has worked with me for years! We shoot really fast together and always get great pictures. I can't wait for the episode where you see me present a beautiful photo book to Micah with all the best pictures from my shoot! And don't worry, I'm not going to come out with my own lingerie line with my photo on the hang tags!
