When in Rome

Peggy enjoyed her time in Texas, but wasn't too pleased with Alexis' behavior.

Tonight's episode was a girls' trip to San Antonio. I love Texas! Everyone is so flippin' nice you almost want to ask them if they are being serious. And growing up riding horses, I love the cowboy lifestyle! And let's not forget about the food! Texas has such great comfort food. We had a great time in Texas, but as you could probably see from my facial expressions, there were many moments where I was really wishing I were home with my hubby and babies. It was hard to leave home when Capri was barely one. Not to mention I didn't feel the dynamic with the girls that I feel when Tamra, Vicki, and I all hang out! At this point I was already feeling I needed to move on from my friendship with Alexis, so it was weird to be on a trip with her. I felt like I had to grin and bare it most of the trip. I don't really know Fernanda, but she is sweet, and Gretchen and I do get along well, but I know there is weirdness between us since I'm so close to Tamra.

The lunch in Texas was funny! Watching the show I realized how often Alexis would interrupt me or try to take over the conversation. It got to a point where I just stopped joining in the conversation. I also see that Gretchen is really torn about whether or not Slade is the right guy for her. I was meeting so many jerks before I met Micah, so I had to get strict and make a list of things I wanted and wouldn't accept. I was sharing all of these with Gretchen, however you only heard two of my wishes which were at the bottom of the list. I feel it is important to know what you really want before walking down the aisle. I have always worked as a model, TV host, and spokesperson, so when I said I wanted a guy that owned his own business, I was sharing that it's hard in a relationship to be with someone if your schedules are opposite. I didn't work 9 to 5 and was hoping to find someone that also didn't work 9 to 5. I also like my privacy, thus the no roommate wish! My top five wants and needs on my wish list were honesty, good communication, wants kids, passion/chemistry, and love for outdoor activities. These were a must! The job thing was a want, but not a deal breaker. If anyone is searching for a mate, I highly recommend making a list of all your wants and needs and the top five or ten you don't compromise on. Just my opinion and what worked for me.

I definitely did not agree with Alexis' comments about Fernanda's relationship or her negative views on gay marriage. I am very spiritual and believe whatever makes you happy is what is right. That's why I love our country and the freedoms we celebrate and the causes that work towards that freedom. One of those causes is NOH8, and I just shot photos for them last week. Will share on my Facebook soon! Check them out at www.noh8campaign.com!

Now we are at the Texas BBQ. So fun! I personally would travel every weekend if I could, and when in Rome always enjoy the local activities! Alexis acted like someone I didn't even know at the BBQ place. She definitely is trying to act more interesting this year or bring the drama. I couldn't believe how rude she was to pour ketchup on my food so she wouldn't be tempted to take a bite. I love to eat and was really enjoying the food and didn't need her to ruin my meal. Bringing up her eating disorder was surprising, as she had never told me this in the four years of our friendship prior. A lot of people are Tweeting and Facebooking me that they think she brought this up because I did my PPD story. It's possible, and it seems like she still has some issues with food. This would explain her pouring ketchup on my food. I've never met someone who was so obsessed with counting calories. Now I can understand why, and I feel bad that she went through this and hope she is better now! She was brave to bring it up, and hopefully she will help others like I have by discussing my PPD.

Then we visited the bull pen. I was really disappointed I couldn't ride the bull, because my boobs were still healing. I've always wanted to ride a mechanical bull, and as I said before, when in Rome do as the Romans! I was proud of all the girls for jumping up on the bull and taking charge!

At the end of the adventure you see us coming back to the hotel in the limo. Alexis' lip comment just makes me laugh. Are we in grammar school? Why are you always competing or making jabs at me? Who cares who has bigger lips. I love full lips, and that is why I had my upper one enhanced, but it came across bitchy, judgmental, and rude. Who treats people this way? If she had just made it a cute joke, I would have laughed with her.

Back home we can see Tamra is going through a lot of heavy stuff. I felt so bad for her and know she did not want Simon arrested, but she had to protect herself and the kids. I don't really know Jeana, and maybe she thought she could help, but there was a better way she could have gone about it. Nobody can tell you what is right or wrong. We each perceive and handle situations the way we need to. Jeana's relationship with her husband was completely different than Tamra and Simon's, so she should have just been supportive.

Only two more episodes. Went so fast! Have a great week, and I look forward to spending next Sunday with all of you again!
