Orange County is back, and as the mother of all Housewives goodness, we here at Bravo HQ felt we would be remiss not to blog about it. Thus, in order to pay homage to our blonde bombshells, we bring you "The First 'Wives Club," in which I (Bravotv.com's Assistant Editor of Bam Squad fame) will be distilling the wisdom provided by the first ladies of Bravo into lessons for your everyday life. Similar to how we all learned about the importance friendship and women's empowerment through the adventures of Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, and Bette Midler in the seminal 1996 film, The First Wives Club. Just for today's Housewives lover.
Alexis provided some helpful tips for avoiding disaster while watching children. Watch out, Dr. Spock!
1. Never give children chap stick and/or lip-gloss lest they eat it, not wear it.
2. Try and do as Jesus would. Don't burn the toast.
3. Always pee with the door open so you can prevent biting and fighting.
4. The most devastating punishment for a little girl? Taking away her accessories.
Even thought I have been married for 36 yrs. I absolutely would never get my husband's anything tattooed on me. I played it safe and had my 2 kids initials tattooed on my shoulder. My husband was going through a mid life crisis and I got the tattoo. You can replace your partner but never your kids!!
You mock the "taking away of accessories" but as a mom, I thought that was effective. The little girl was upset to have her things taken away and Alexis had to think fast!!!
I really miss Lynne too, the show feels rather empty without her, but I suppose we'll get used to it. :/
next time tamra's on the live show please ask her to show her tattoo removal, wonderful if it all really came off.
I like that Bravo is once again providing us an insider point of view of the Real Housewives. Might I suggest that you follow Dave Rupel's (sp?) lead from RHBH? Dave's blog was so interesting because he gave us info on behind the scenes from a personal perspective. The readers were able to understand the cast and crew on a deeper level. Shows succeed, much like Sex and the City and Six Feet Under, when the viewers get to know the intricacies of each character, we feel so much more connected.
Are we going to get any behind-the-scenes info. on this blog? (ie: The Bev. Hills) Or are we in for just 'pearls of wisdom'?
I hope the rest of the season is better than the season premiere. I too, miss Lynne - not Alexa, Raquel and her husband but definitely her.
I"m soooooo happy to have The OC girls back!!!! Love them all, But Vickie is the Bad Ass of them all. So excited!!!
