Laughter. . .is always the best medicine!
It has been said that laughter in life is one of nature's best medicines. I love, love, love to laugh. I am a very strong believer in that statement. In a world unfortunately suffering from so much stress, worry, and heartache, sometimes it's healthy to get out, let loose, and laugh a bit with good friends.
When I got the invite from Gretchen and Slade to watch them perform at the Improv Comedy Club, I was absloutely ecstatic (to say the least). How exciting this was!!! To be honest, it was such a pleasure for me to be able to support two of my best friends by watching them perform their hilarious, new, stand-up comedy routine at the very well-known Improv Comedy Club. This was a big deal, and I was sooo excited for them. I really needed to get out and have some good laughs with some old friends, and it also finally gave me the opportunity to introduce my fiancée to a few more of my long time good friends, Alexis and Jim. It was really nice to see everyone getting along, laughing, and having a good time.
We sat in the front with Alexis and Jim, so we were all Gretchen and Slade's little "front row fan club," cheering them on during their entire performance. It was such a fun and exciting night for everyone. They did great, of course. I couldn't be happier for them!
I could only imagine just how nervous Gretchen and Slade both must have been before getting on stage. You would have thought they had performed a million times because they both really did such an amazing job. They are naturals that's for sure!
If what we, the viewers, saw was an example of hilarity, then may sobriety forever envelop us!
Making fun at other people's expense is cruel, selfish, and totally unredeeming. It certainly won't help maintain any "mended fences."
I'm still rather confused as to who exactly you are..... from your blog it's now clear that you are president of the Gretchen and Slimy-Slade fan club. What comedy show were YOU watching?? It cetainly wasn't what the veiwers were shown. Did you really think if you went on and on for two whole paragraphs stating how TRUELY hilarious Gretchen and Slimy-Slade are you would convince the viewers? Not a chance. The "comedy" act was awful and embarrassing! We've been watching Slimy-Slade for (way) too many episodes, and while Gretchen continues to age, her maturity level seems to sink. Yes, she has a nice body. But it seems like all she can do is take her clothes off or wear ridiculous outfits fit for a teenager (hi! you're 30!!) So over the two of them. You need to go as well- you're never on the show and your blogs clearly have an agenda.
The show needs more Sarah and less Heather! I like your positive attitude and it's nice to see someone on the side of Gretchen, Slade, Alexis & Jim for once. You seem like a sweetheart and I hope we see more of you.
Boring....If we wanted to hear how great Gretchen and Slade are we can hear it from them anytime. They are never at a loss for self promotion.
I still haven't figured out Sarah's role is in the show and I wish Bravo would properly introduce her with a quick clip or something. This is just all so strange. But whatever. With that said, just wondering if anyone else noticed that Sarah didn't answer Heather's hello at the Improv.. hmmm. I was hoping for some kind of a clue on her blog but, as usual, she writes as if she is just an "observer". Bravo might as well have a random viewer blog every day.
Okay, okay, we get it - they are your best, best friends that you've known for a long, long time - so why haven't they met your fiance yet if you're such good, good, best, best friends? That seems weird. Plus, what show were you watching? Gretchen thought throwing the f-word in all her sentences would make it a stand up routine, then for lack of anything funny to say to hold the audience's attention, she stripped down to a teeny bikini. Slade was not funny, he was mean-spirited and malicious. You laughed and laughed? I guess you're mean-spirited and malicious too then.
were you watching the same show we were. because that was really bad. that was not comedy. that was a train wreck period.
In this post you refer more than once to your best friends, long time friends (Alexis & Jim as well as Gretchen & Slade). How long exactly have you known the two couples?
Why are you blogging when you've been on one episode? You seem really insignificant..... just sayin'
You find it funny when a grown man bullies and attacks these women, shame-shame on YOU! You need to look in the mirror and ask yourself, what kind of a person finds that funny?
Ok, I am still confused as to who this Sarah girl is, I mean I do see her in the background at times, but she blogs every week and yet says nothing on the show???
You thought that their routine was "hilarious" and all in good fun...did you watch the same routine that I did? I thought it was rude and Slade should definitely keep his day job(that is if he has one).
It didn't show that Vicki doesn't support their friendship. She said it was weird and It IS weird! How can you go from hating each other to the core then act like bffs in a short period of time. Just way too suspicious.
Wow! Hateful much?
The comments here are, for the most part, really sad. It seems many posters don't want to give Sarah a chance to introduce herself without attacking. I find the idea that this blog is too long and can't hold the reader's attention past the second paragraph is even more sad. If someone can't manage what it more or less six paragraphs, I might suggest finding another hobby because the idea of attacking a woman, (who we haven't really gotten to know) over her introductory blog is heartless.
who are you? seriously, you've been given about 90 seconds of screen time, yet i see your blog up here? i have no idea who you are or what your story is. the producers should explain....
I noticed via the clip we saw of you on this past episode, you didn't even say Hello back to Heather. Not even acknowledged her! Ummmm...I think you came across rude and acting like you were better than her!
I don't understand why everyone is being so mean to you? If you had been watching the show you would understand the Gretchen and Tamra friendship thing being odd. That is great that they want to become friends, but to become "instant besties" after all they have put each other through, is odd. Not to mention, they go a little over the top with it.
Geez we get it your BEST FRIENDS - say it one more time just incase I didn't catch it the first 100 times...... Don't try so hard
i agree with Alycat!!! i hope we get to see more of you. Just a bit of advise though...don't come across like Dana/Pam did with the blogs. She was the worse HW addition in history! I am getting annoyed with Heather and her "better than everyone else" attitude! i hope u are as sweet as you look, i think an adoreable and sweet person would be a great addition to the show!
Still not sure why you are blogging. We get it....you want everyone to know that you are BEST friends with Gretchen and Slade. You really haven't brought anything to the show....sorry to be so mean but I'm confused.
Oh, now I know who you are...I was confused. Obviuosly, you're gretchen and slade's best friend (x3). Thanks for clarifying. I couldn't figure out why you had a blog.
Are you engaged to Simon of RHWONY? Your fiancee sure looks like him. I hope Alex and Simon didn't split!
I guess they didn't edit the comedy show well for the tv viewers. I though slade came off creepy and angry. not at all funny.. I like gretchens attitude this season. Last year she just seemed so mad and defensive all the time. I guess they are trying to work you into this some how??? maybe jeannas son connection.
Why should anyone on this show try to 'work Sarah in'?
Either she's interesting or NOT! Either she brings something to the show or she DOESNT! Right now this blog is sorta like an 'open mic' for the 'Winchester Mystery' chick. If she's going to blog, I'd at least like to hear some of her 'Winchester' family stories!
I want to know if she's ever been out to the 'Winchester Mystery House' in San Jose and had any paranormal experiences over there? I've been over there and it's really something to see.
The 'Winchester Mystery House' was built by Sarah (1839-1922), the wife of William Wirt Winchester, the son of Oliver Winchester who had been the manufacturer and marketer of the 'Winchester repeating rifle', the gun by which "the West was won". After the death of husband and her daughter, she was afraid she'd be haunted by the revengful ghosts of all the folks who had been killed by Winchester rifles, so she used her dead husbands fortune to build a 'ghost house' with stairways which twist and turn, leading to nowhere. Doors open into walls. Windows were built into the ceilings. Sarah's fear of ghosts fueled the bizarre building project which went on for 38 years until Sarah's death.
As such, the mansion is an American architectural oddity. After Sarah Winchester died, there were no heirs, so she left what remained of her husbands' inheritance to a private secretary and a 'niece'.
Therefore, if the 'Sarah Winchester' of RHOC claims that she is a "Winchester heiress"', then HOW??? PLEASE EXPLAIN!!! Were there other Winchesters? What happened to them??? THAT story would be a lot more interesting than a blog leading to NO WHERE. . . Why not give us the REAL STORY???
I'm serious! Please tell us more about the Winchester family history and how you fit into the ' Repeating Rifle' Dynasty!!! I dont think there has ever been anyone on the RHs-besides Adrienne Maloof-who's been part of a business family legacy like that.
