Episode 12: Bravotv.com's Editor tries to decide which Vegas event was more shocking -- Gretchen's performance or Briana's wedding?

Gretchen and Slade meet Terry and Heather for a double date dinner. Terry's packed his worry beads so he can live in the moment, which is always a great way to enter into a dinner. The gang discusses all the support that was rolling Gretchen's way in Vegas and how Gretchen decided in the interest of smoothing things over to just let the Vicki thing roll off her back. Kumbaya indeed.
But as quickly as peace spread across the valley it ended, with Terry getting a little too honest about his feelings for Alexis. . . Apparently his worry beads don't do anything towards keeping him mum on matters of the 'Wives. Gretchen does express that she's unsure of Alexis' current behavior, as well, so it seems that once one beef is settled another arises. . .much like those beavers in arcade games.

Here's a miniature announcement: men of America, get furniture! You don't necessarily need couches and chandeliers and plants, but a chair besides the one in your kitchen is a good start. Tamra does manage to resist the urge to buy him a full living room set at Eddie's urging. Instead she goes with semi-tough love, which is enough toughness to help him learn how to manage him money, but not so tough that she doesn't have something to put a drink down on the next time she comes over.

Why can't Vicki be happy for her daughter? Sounds like she just wants all the pomp and circumstance of a wedding for herself.

Cudo's to Gretchen...if you don't try you don't know...I don't think many people would have had the courage to do it...so way to go! You go Briana-OMG...and just to see Vicki's face was priceless! For someone who always wants to be in control... I guess she just learned that you can't control everything. As a mom of 3 (19, 20 & 22) I know that all too well! Enjoy the ride Vick...nothing surprises me with my kids anymore...they do have minds of their own. You may have raised them, given them solid morals but ultimately they make their own decisions now. Like Alexis they are driving their own "bus". LOL Terry cracked me up...and was dead on...Alexis is phony! I can relate to Tamra and know how she feels and how much you want to help your kids...but Eddie was right and I am glad he could help her with that. My hubby has to rein me in too...noone wants to see their kids struggle or go without... I am "trying" to learn that myself right now... they have to learn to make it on their own and make some mistakes along the way. It is hard to let the helicopter blades shut down...but as parents we are not doing them favors if we don't (don't tell my hubby I just paid my daughters visa bill...hahaha). I think I hear the whirr of the blades...I am a work in progress. Good luck ladies!
I know you wrote this 2 months ago and I don't know if you'll see my reply but we could be twins! Kids same age (with a 17 yr old as well); helping "under the table" a little and keeping my mouth shut A LOT, lol...anyway on this long summer day, i am watching an OC marathon (pressing pause every few seconds to go online and dig a little deeper- ha) So, when it started, I loved Alexis, was lukewarm about Gretchen, and hated Tamra. But as the day has gone on, I LOVE Tamra. She's real. I couldn't believe she was my age! I thought she was in her 20's! (Good for her!) I like Gretchen, too. I'm not so sure about her boyfriend, but that's her decision, not mine. IDK about Alexis. I haven't seen enough to judge, but something's not right. I don't see phoniness, but she does seem a little out there. What was with the 3rd party retelling of the twins' birth? (Their mother passed away?!) what?!!! Maybe she's on something that makes her kooky at times. I like that she shows her faith. I'm still trying to figure Vicki and Heather out. I know one thing, Heather has a great husband! He reminds me another wonderful plastic surgeon, Adrienne's husband Paul on RHOBH! okay, back to the princess and puppy party...
Good for Briana! It's about time she do something for herself! Vicki needs to realize that Briana is a grown woman and it's ok for her to make her own decisions.
You forgot to add that Jim was smiling and checking out the ladies while Alexis was saying he didn't like it.

Well, Briana seems more together than any of the housewives in any of the cities. God bless her on her marriage. I predict they will make some darn cute babies together!
We salute Gretchen's courage. She really really tried. God bless her little heart...the gal can't sing but she did well. I salute Brianna's courage and sense. Vicki would have hijacked the wedding and made it all about her as usual. Best wishes to Brianna and hubby. I have questions about Brooks. He is like a large mouthful of artificial sweetener. He speaks in Hallmark moments. Tamara's new figure looks good. She looks normal now-not like a Barbie doll. I hope Eddie stays.
Brianna got married! That's bombdiggity news and I wish her and her husband all the best. If Vicki's first two weddings were full-on affairs, obviously THAT didn't work out, and sometimes those of us who were married in a Vegas chapel have the ability to last (25 years and counting).
I thought that Gretchen did well; I knew she would come through. It was nice that everyone showed up to support her. As for Brianna's news, Vicki is soo self-centered & self-absorbed to take the news of Brianna's wedding in stride. When she told Ryan that her daughter deserved better than to be married in a drive-in chapel in Vegas, what she meant in translation was that she, Vicki deserved better! Brianna seems down to earth & doesn't strike me as a bride who would have a blow-out wedding. She eloped because she wanted to avoid the drama with Vicki. Remember when they were glamping & Vicki kept asking her about her love life & Brianna was giving nothing away-can you blame her?
I would like to be the first to thank Briana for giving us the best moment in the history of the entire Housewives franchise. Bar none. Thank you Briana. We replayed it 3 times. In addition, congratulations on your positive results with your health and congratulations on your marriage. You have always seemed like such a nice, level-headed young woman and I am sure you made a good choice in a husband.
Oh Alexis! You had me rolling with laughter when you made the comment about Jim during the pussycats performance..." Jim is not enjoying this ". That man's eyes were glued to those girls on the pole!
