Is Gretchen in Second Grade?
Lydia doesn't understand why Gretchen can't be more supportive of Tamra and Vicki trying to make ammends.
Apr 8We start right where we left off, at the clambake. I think it is cool that Vicki went to say hello to Tamara first, even though she sees and feels "all this Ick" between them. I think that shows that she is, or is trying to be, the bigger person and move forward. I am happy that Tamra and Vicki eventually talk and move on. . .although, I’m still trying to figure out what Gretchen has to do with their friendship. What is this second grade and you can only have one best bud? Gretchen seems to be scared that there is only room for one friend in Tamara's life,and she wants it to be her.
Heather is always a lady and even when the girls (Tamara and Gretchen) go to her to talk about Vicki's face, she holds her tongue. I love that about Heather because it does take strength to refrain from all the gossip. I'm sure she had an opinion about the way Vicki looked, but it wasn't the place or time to talk about it. . .especially while Vicki was probably five feet away. I also love her advice to Tamara as a "do over." No one has to be right or wrong. They both got hurt. She even calls herself a "Jewish Mary Poppins” at one point. This is probably my favorite quote from this episode. Who says that!?! I love her!
Girl leave gretchen and tamera alone, your new and you dont want them on you, there is a long history withnthese girls and you dont need to go there or you wont be on next season just saying, I dont know you yet but what I have seen your like Lexis, you gonna brG a little to much about what you got and that isnt a good thing
i think you got it all wrong and you are already taking sides with alexis and vicky !! if gretchen is worried it is probably because after all the problems she had with vicky and tamara i don't think she wants to go back to that place !! and vicky being resentful , i can understand if she is worried !! i don't think alexis was that good friend we could see that they weren't friends like they used to be!! alexis is fake so if Gretchen got fed up with her no wonder there!! i think you already made up your mind about whom you like and you went straight away to Gretchen for your dislike!!
Ok newbie, the least you could do is learn to spell your cast mates names before you state your opinion. I am not going to tell you whose name you misspelled. Hopefully you have already figured it out. Welcome to the O.C!!
I could not agree with you more about Gretchen acting like it's 2nd grade! I was so annoyed with her behavior. Actually, I've been annoyed with her behavior ever since shortly after she became friends with Gretchen and turned into a mean girl. Gretchen was my favorite on the show for years, until she turned on her own friend, Alexis, who had her back for seasons while she was picked on and bullied by Tamara and Vickie. Now that she's up Tamara's butt, she seems like she'd do anything she has to in order to keep her stink up there. Truly, when Tamara & Gretchen 1st became friends, I loved seeing the two of them together, now I can barely stand to watch them.
I can't wait see more of you on the show! And hey, do NOT sweat 'miss fancy pants' being offended that you "laughed about her asking for the cover", please! She has the nerve to compare herself to Lisa 'An International Star' Vanderpump. Ha! That's laughable... trust me, most of the viewers were laughing right along with you.
yes honey you are right about gretchen... she is a lil jealous,but the main thing is that Tamra is a crazy evil vile lunatic ... just watch the past seasons & reunions!
Lydia, so far you look to be too young, goofy,and do not look like you have been transported from the 1950's or 60's to fit in with this gang of crazies.
You don't know what you are talking about , I'm a fan from Day one and you need to watch back episodes before you start judging the other women . you are making judgements on what Alexis is telling you and I can not tell you how many viewers did not won't alexis back on this show she can say what she likes but we all know she really needed the money that bravo pays her..
O. M. G. Last week I told myself I would give OC one more week bc I loathe Vickie. I don't like looking at her and she is a lunatic! Well this is it Bravo, who is this child Lydia? I hate to be like this but yet another UNattractive woman. And woman I really mean to say girl bc that is what she acts like a 12 year old girl. So utterly disappointed.

jen@snizzle1 As I sit here and read this, I am praying to God that you are a man. The very idea that one woman would send this message to another woman is enough to keep me up at night. You don't even know this person - at the time you are sending this you've not seen her on your TV one single time. I can no more imagine making such a comment about another woman's looks as I can running down the street naked Judge their behavior and the way they treat others all day long - but we should leave the comments about their looks (unless they are inspiring and uplifting) alone. Remember, she is an actual person.

I wish you watched the past episodes before signing on. These are women who have to have someone to pick on.....stick with Alexis and Vicki. Tamra is poison, leaving a path of hurt people in her wake, it is just who she is....

susanamarie I didn't see how Vicki was acting like a 2nd grader, at all. I completely felt Gretchen was acting totally insecure about Tamara & Vicki speaking at that party. You can't deny that. She flat out said she did not want Tamara to be friends with Vicki again in her personal interview. Gretchen was the one acting like a 2nd grader, by seemingly only wanting Tamara to herself. Tamara and Gretchen both seem like they can only have one BFF, cause as soon as they became friends they completely turned on the "BFF's" they'd had past seasons. So yeah, Gretchen is a 2nd grade little girl following Tamara around and wearing matching clothes while Tamara continues to be a mega bitch and thus turning Gretchen into the same. Personally, I used to love Gretchen, she was always my fav since she came on the show and I HATED to see what TAMARA and her then follower Vicki did to her... but times have changed, and not necessarily for the better.

I know your friends with Alexis but really as you say you DON'T know the relationship between vicki , Gretchen and Slade and vicki and Tamara so you can not judge by what Alexis has told you because she has a grudge . If I were to judge you by what I"ve read I would think you where a immature spoilt rich bitch but as I haven't seen you on the show I will wait and see for myself and then judge you by your behaviour . I find it a really silly thing to pre judge people before I've spent time with them . I think Gretchen was just saying to Tamara beware of vicki motives and why was vicki being so Mysterious about Brooke's I know it makes me wonder why she can't say a straight yes or no

So far...I like you Lydia! I thought the same thing you did about Gretchen and Tamera. First and foremost I always thought Tamera was a biotch. However; I did like her and Vicki's friendship. Now that Tamera is friends with Gretchen, it seems like she doesn't want them to be friends again. That actually shocked me because I liked Gretchen. Also SLADE... needs to STAY out of the ladies' business! ENOUGH already! However: I do like Heather, she is a doll. So if you choose to mingle, be friends with Vicki and Heather, they make the most sense!

Glad to see a new face on the show. I thought Vicki apoloized to Slade ad Grechen for the bad comments before. Hmm....Well, anyway, Im just glad you ladies are back.. Love both BH & OC ladies! Slade needs to forgive and move on. Stop commenting aout Vicki on the radio of all places.
mrsd@13 I also do remember Vicki apologizing to Gretchen and Slade after everything was said and done but perhaps it wasn't sincere enough for them, but I think Gretchen and Slade have it in for Vicki because of what Tamara is feeding Gretchen about Vicki as she did the same thing with her ex husband and Vicki she played the two against each other with half truth's and lies. If you read Gretchen's blog she writes regarding Tamara's conversation with Vicki at the clambake "Hearing them talk in the wine cellar was actually a surprise to me since Tamra had voiced such a different tune to me for the last nine months about Vicki" It pretty well tells you that she's at it again playing people against each other, I think she is also doing it with her fiance and Vicki as you can see from the kitchen scene with half truth's and lies about her conversation with Vicki. It's funny to me as I remember it being Tamara that started most of the crap against Gretchen with Vicki jumping on the bandwagon, wasn't it Tamara that got the phone call from Gretchen's ex boyfriend, wasn't Tamara that seemed to have all of this dirt on Gretchen, wasn't Tamara that accused Gretchen of being a gold digger since she had married Jeff and so much more and I'm not saying Vicki was innocent by no means, they were both nasty at the time. I think because they are BFF's now Gretchen is seeing through rose colored glasse's. Tamara is a trouble maker.....Slade is just a wanabe housewife....lol
@Nic01 @mrsd@13 it is impossible to pick sides between Tamra and Vicki because you cannot tell where one begins and the other ends. I do think Tamra was the major instigator much of the time, but Vicki seemed to be right there with her. They are both just horrible deep down in their souls, and it is only a matter of time before they find their way back to each other. They feed off of each other. While each have their own issues, neither Alexis nor Gretchem are nearly as evil as they are and eventually they will seek each other out because they will miss having someone around as mean as they are.

Vicki has been so nasty to slade and Gretchen, belittling him about him physically , financially, and calling him a deadbeat dad. Really his son is fighting for his life and AGAIN Vicki can't say sorry I was wrong. As for Alexis, really ur brought on to back up her, the worst NEWS anchor and , another one of JIMs ventures, hopefully an indoor trampoline park will make money in CA, because everyone wants to stay iNSIDE. In CA. I guess Alexis will pull an Adrienne and not Be with THOSE women! Really, it's a show, show up!
WandaPHow is Alexis to "show up" not invited to like Heather's clam bake? The difference with Adrienne is that she was almost always invited but did no shows.

I think this little cutie pie Lydia has a problem with Gretchen because apparently Gretchen was the least friendly to her, when she met everyone. And I can see her doing that, for sure.
Slade is lashing out at Vicki simply because: The worst you can attack a man for is his manhood i.e. ability to provide. And Vicki & Tamra did that all season - year after year. The worst you can criticize a woman for is her looks. Since Slade was cut to the core - he is right back at ya to Vicki. I know, as a woman I feel it's wrong but the horrible things they said about him "GET A JOB" and "HE DOESN'T PAY FOR HIS KIDS" - those were way way way below the belt, for a guy. Same as "ugly woman".
Only thing is - he gives Tamra a pass....because she's Gretchen's BFF now? Gretch is the one who needs to shut him down. I agree with Lydia - I'm not liking Gretchen this season.
And Heather called Alexis pretentious? With her wing back chairs at a clam bake, and her "champs" - no onion rings? Puhlease!
Maybe you should watch previous seasons of the show before you express opinions about the other wives. I hear you are friends with Alexis. Guess they had to give her someone who would put up with her crap. Already points against you.
WhoDoesThat Let's see, if I recall correctly it was Tamara who gave Heather the full scoop on all the OC housewives, and a lot of good that did. Now Heather is following Tamara's lead like a brainless bimbo who should of been more fair in the beginning by forming her own opinions instead of borrowing Tamara's! @WhoDoesThat I see your point, but at the time she is writing this, the season has been filmed and she spent months with these ladies. It would have been helpful to see past shows, but I am sure spending hundreds of hours with them gives her all the perspective she needs to make assessments.

I don't know why people are making a big deal about you blogging. You have an opinion about the episode, just like the rest of us.. and you're fortunate enough to be getting PAID for yours! I like you so far!
You have not even appeared on the show yet and already you are throwing people under the bus. You should give people a chance to get to know you first. You say Gretchen was cold to you, but yet you knew that she was with Slade and dealing with his son and his illness, and you and she had talked about it. Already with the lies. First impressions, not going like you already. Judging yes, but I can be honest and say that I wasnt going to like you from your snobby opening line.
@catlady123 since these shows were filmed months ago, I would imagine something happens later between she and Gretchen to make her feel this way about her. Also, Gretchen is probably the person she knows the most about, since she is Alexis's friend, and the reason she is on the show.

So it's ok to make fun of a man calling him a deadbeat which wasn't the case and belittling him at every turn and bringing his kids into it but he can't make fun of the woman who campaigned for many seasons against him? Hmmmm? I'm not saying what he's saying is right but lets just face the truth in the entertainment industry everyone throws shade, if Vicki can't take it maybe she shouldn't live in a glass house.

FYI for those saying she cannot have an opinion since she hasn't been aired yet, Filming is OVER! She is very much familiar with the cast by now. So I think she can have an opinion, especially if you and I can :)

@luvleebee She DID blog about the episode that just aired. The disagreement I was clarifying was the act that some believe she cannot have an opinion bout her cast ties, wen she in fact can! And se had more of a right to blog about her opinions than you and I combined
