Happy 4th of July! Although I love Canada and treasure my memories growing up there, I am proud to be an American. Coming off of such a special holiday and time with family, it makes it that much more at the forefront of my mind that we are so blessed to live in the greatest country in the world.
That being said, I also love Canada. It is a part of who I am, and it was so fun to take the ladies up to my "Motherland." I kind of like to claim everything, it’s a running joke I have with my friends. If I meet someone who’s Italian, I’m speaking in an Italian accent "Ciao Bello." If you are from Canada, so am I. You are from France? No way, I studied abroad there! I like to connect with everyone. So although I see myself as a proud American, I also identify with my Canadian roots.
I found it amusing watching everyone pack for the snow. There really is no way to make a snowsuit cute, but from Alexis' big ring on her glove to Gretchen's white onesie, I have to hand it to the ladies for trying!I’m confused about the whole "Malibu Country" issue. Heather was making a big deal about how she spoke to the producers and they "don't film on Fridays." That can be true, but didn’t Heather say she went to the table read on Friday? When Alexis chimed in saying they had asked her to do the role too, it was an ironic moment. She was Gretchen’s unintentional alibi. I am still a little unclear as to why Heather assumed Gretchen was lying and why it annoyed her so much…there must be more to this story.
When Gretchen heard the accusations against Vicki, she should have taken it to Vicki. Instead she told Heather, and then later Tamra. I am a direct person. I like to talk about my feelings and move on. I enjoy life and having fun and being silly. I try not to harbor negative thoughts about people. All the drama from this episode didn't really involve me. I try to stay out of it but as you hang out with the ladies, you get invested. You become part of it and form opinions. No one is perfect. We all have contradictions in our character and are flawed. We also all have a lot of fun together and share laughter. These are just my thoughts and opinions of how I felt after watching this episode. I could be way off base on some of my opinions and I have an open mind to grow and learn from this whole experience. That’s what life is all about, right?!
